Hi,
I am having trobule with hTC Home 2.0 plugin on my HP 614c (same problems happens on my mio a702). I have installed a few different 2.0 versions but none of them work. They all install fine but the HTC Home Today screen never starts. It is my same regular today screen. I even installed sdkcerts and cert_spcs when trying the Kaiser Home v2.0.814.722.
I have HTC Home checked in the today settings. I have rebooted but my same today screen always loads. 1.5 HTC Home worked but with the mail
and weather issues I want to use 2.0
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
anyone? need to get this resolved.
I posted a modifed version of HTC Home 2.1 a while back that should work on any device; search for my posts and you should find it.

Confirmed, but additionally you have to replace the HTCHome.dll file. On iPAQ it is stored at /Windows and file for replacement you will find here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=327646&page=24 (post #231). Confirmed on my 614c.

Hey, I was wondering if I could run the HTC home plugin http://freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-htc-home-plugin-v1-0.html and the Black WM6 theme http://freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-black-wm6-theme.html on my I-Mate K-Jam. I have Windows Mobile 5 on it, and it says those 2 programs are for WM6. Does anyone know if they will work on WM5?
i tried it...seems that the theme works fine its just the htc doesn't like my phone..
yeah it works
At least it worked for me on my Tmobile MDA (Qtek 9100) - I got original HTC theme (gray color) and HTC Home plugin - works just perfect.
btw i got wm5
Why do people not just try and install it and see if it works , without filling up the forums with more topics of no use to anyone. I am even adding to the clutter by complaining
On my MDA Vario HTC plugin doesent work, but I have windows mobile 2005
htc home plugin does work on 2005 i had it running on my wizard, just cant remember which version it was. If i remember i will post here and let you know
How does the Home plugin work? When installed, nothing happened. In the HTCHome folder, there are only a bunch of images and just 2 files, HTCHome.dll and HTCHome.dll.0409.mui. How do you run this program?
I made this topic because I didn't want to install it and find out it screwed up my phone.

You need the home customizer to make it work, run the customizer to setup how you want the home to be. I hope this helps.
I searched and I found this thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=319308
When I tried to install this, I got an error message and it asked me to install in a different location. Both directly to the device and to the storage card didn't work. Is there a version specifically for the Wizard?
I also get this message, help please?
Ok, I have looked all over the place, searched, whatever and found nothing that answers my question. I ran a .cab file a guy linked me to over on HoFo. It said it installed but I couldn't find it anywhere... It even listed it as a program when I removed it... So what's the deal? I have a T-Mobile MDA with a stock 1.08IPL/SPL rom and it's a G3.
You have a stock 1.08???
OMG!!! I had that rom some 2 years ago when I first got my beloved Wizard.
...and I am not 100%, but I feel pretty strongly that the 1.08 rom could be your problem with the HTC Home not working. Also, to my knowledge, there is only 1 specific HTC Home that has been able to run on WM5...I could be wrong about that, as I haven't used WM5 for a few months now...but when I did, I only found one that worked...but I was running a stock Tmo 2.26 rom.
Any guru here wanna chime in and confirm or deny my thoughts on this?
Helmi's HTC Home plugin is the only version I have ever had work on WM5. The weather and media tabs don't work for me even so...so I removed them, using the HTC Home Customizer.
Helmi's file attached (cab) cause I couldn't find it on the web...get the customizer yourself.
After messing with this thing for about an hour or so I've just decided to stick with my Spb Weather and Phone suite until I decide to upgrade ROMs..
I need help for install this plugin on NO HTC PRUDUCT, is posssible?
Thanks all for help me, and bye
any help?

probably would work on non htc device

HTC Home has instaed on my HP iPQA 1950 no problems, doesn't work too well as none of the shortcuts match though.
Thanks, what version of software you have installed?
Thanks all for help.. bye
Whatever was in the HTC extracted apps thread, v1.6 for the HTC home plugin couldn't find the Home Customizer to test.
Edit
Found the Customizer in the thread mentioned, must have missed it before, needed to update the .NET Compact Framework.
The Home Customizer didn't work with the Home Plugin found above, said it wasn't installed, even though i have the icons on my Today screen
You might want to try pocketemu.com/hhc-info.html
I installed the HTC Home Plug on my O2 Atom Life and nothing showed up also. I then installed sdkcerts.cab that can be found on here and it worked perfectly.
On PDA MIO P560 not working any solution?
Thanks
any other help friends?
Thanks
I just upgraded my mogul to WM 6.1 (awesome awesome). Everything was working perfectly until i decided to install the htc homeplug i was using successfully with WM 6.0, it completely messed up my phone! It would start up normally and once i got to the main screen it would freeze up completely, nothing worked, zero, zilch so i called HTC and thank god a hard reset got it back to normal...
My concern is that I REALLY like the program and I don't like the standard crappy and busy looking screen of the mogul, where can I find the HTC home that works with WM 6.1?
Thanks

Just wanted to point out that HTC Home and HTC Homeplug are two different Today plugins.
Thanks!!!
Thank You very much. I couldn't wait to install this plugin so I gave it a try and works like a charm. Previously I had installed one from PPCGeeks.com and even though it worked, it was still missing some things. This cab is complete and works fine. Thanks
temp is in Celsius how do you change it to Fahrenheit
temp is in Celsius how do you change it to Fahrenheit
Use the HTC home customizer, it has an option to set Fahrenheit or Celsius.

Does the N2A DLL Patch work with this version of HTC Home and 6.1?

you had the SAME problem as me then!!! I had to do a hard reset and erase everything, each time I installed that stupid HTC home plugin. Finally I found an older version that worked with my phone. It would crash and bring up active sync and do all sorts of weird things

You don't need it. If you just run HTC Home Customizer it has a custom database for weather forcasts that you can edit to your liking.
I have found lots of information about this on the site, but nothing that seemed to be a definitive answer. I have an XV6800 running Windows Mobile 6.1 MR1 and would love to add the HTC Home plugin. However, different places say that it will not work with 6.1, others saying it works fine, and others suggesting hacks to make it work with 6.1. Plus, most of the posts I have found are nearly 6 months old which is nearly an eternity when it comes to these topics.
So, what is the word on this? Is there a certain version of HTC Home I should use, and are there fixes I need to do? Thanks a lot, and sorry if this has been answered elsewhere.
I have used it successfully using the 6 tab home plugin.
I used this one in post #760.
The program isn't as glitzy as M2D, but is very functional.
works just fine... using it now HTC Home Customizer Final
How is that version comparing to old kaiser htc home v.2.0.81 version? Its the only version I have ever used and works great.
I had problems until I downloaded the HTC Home Customizer program at http://www.pocketemu.com after having problems and read this solution in a forum. When you run the Customizer, it detects that you don't have HTC Home Plugin installed and prompts you to download it. This downloaded the "correct version" of HTC Home Plugin for my phone and works great on my XV6800 with the the MR1 update and likewise with the the latest MR2 update.
