Needed Programs?

Hey I'm new to this forum (as shown in my post count).
What programs do you use on your Hermes?
Small problems I would like to fix are:
-A little speed boost. I feel like it lags behind sometimes
-Programmable sms tones. I dont just want to use those 1-2 second long sounds.
-A good free multi-chat program. For example, AIM, ICQ, GoogleTalk, Msn, Yahoo... all at the same time. Personally I found AgileMessenger to be quite nice, but it costs 45 bucks to buy... i may resort to that though.
Actually onw last thing i would like and wondering if it is even possible, probably only by some awesome hacker. I want a program that gives me the passkeys of locked wifi networks, are there any of those available?
I have more questions about t-mobile but ill start a different thread.
This site is a support forum for xda enthusiasts. using this site, you will find lots of tweaks for your phone, OS upgrades, fixes, etc. but we do not condon anything illegal here. That means even if some hacker finds a way how to do something that is illegal, the moderators will immediately delete it. That also applys for cracked programs, etc. Im not accusing you of anything, but since you are new here I just wanted to give you a quik breifing on what we are and are not about.
Also, before you post any questions, or screw up your phone, make sure you do lots of reading and searching (search bar at top right), there is also a google search tool for this site in the other section.
Welcome and good luck

ok then ty for letting me know. Seeing as how many programmers are on this site I though that non-legit might be fine here.
Thank you for the warning, Im not a computer noob, but new to the wm phone world. I'd be sure on reading up before installing anything.
Well then the same questions are still up... I never said I wouldnt pay for these programs but if the freeware is just as good, why not?
Please do not start new threads to request repeated information.

Hey, i need you to please use search and post questions like this in the General sections. With the search function at the top of this page below your name, open it and type "instant messenger" or try "sms messenger". True there will be a lot of results but that it was reading is for.
Thanks,
WTF!!!!
People, I need something to type in this forum for me and it can't be my wife!! How about XDA Forum Voice Command! Oh, I need a CAB also!
LOL!. chapman.. while you're at it.. have an automatic peeing mechanism wiz in the toilet's direction or you'll have to work hard to direct the flow.
agreed...when did this forum become burger king?.....I mean....I think we've all tendered our lil wish lists and suggestions for "the next version of" but the purpose of this community....nice word by the way...is give and take.....you just joined in march...which means nothing in and of itself....3 post also not too significant considering you could drop a program on us with just one....or perhaps help correct someones code......or offer a what's wrong list with the software you're demo-ing.....but it "looks" like you just found the site...signed up and now you're in the drive thru blowing your horn for fries that you got with a free coupon......have some respect...

People who are asking for Programs, Games, Etc.

Ok this thread is for you guys who keep asking for programs, games etc, all over the forums! Most of these can EASILY be found withough posting a new thread simply to get a solitare game! I'll give you a few tips on searching and where/how to find what your looking for!
First off, a great majority (if not all) programs and games, are installed through files called Cabinets! These are what we refer to as .CAB files. .CAB files are one file that contains multiple files, hence the word "Cabinet". These files are normally easy to find.
The easiest way to find a program is by using a site im sure were all fimiliar with! GOOGLE! Simply go there, if you know exactly what program/game your looking for type it in and add a .CAB on the end! (Example: Office Mobile.CAB) And right there under the first link, is a XDA thread with the Office Mobile download that ive seen asked for all over this forum!
The second way is thru the XDA Forum Search, and guess what! Its google again! Though this ONLY searches the XDA forums! Just be specific with it! (Example: HomeScreen PlusPlus)
The third way I've found is from Freeware For PPC this site hap PLENTY of freeware! Games, Programs, Themes, Etc! Use it!
If you still cant find what your looking for, post it in this thread or another dedicated thread for programs/games! Id be happy to assist in search, let's just keep these threads clean! Happy hunting!

Best internet browser and apps?

HI,
I read somewhere on here about the different internet browsers and how some don't display flash etc, and there was a browser recognised by most as the best. Can anyone tell me the name and where I might find the cab? I've tried both internet explorer and opera. Don't like internet explorer, doesn't seem to display things right, and the pinch zoom doesn't seem to work. I've found opera OK though.
Also where can I find all the best games and apps for the HD2? I've been into the application section and information is all over the place. Is it just a matter of sifting through it all? Or is there somewhere similar to an app store, or microsoft's marketplace where it's easy to find what you want, but aren't paying the ridiculous price of the marketplace?
If anyone can point me in the direction of a solitaire app/cab I'd be very grateful
Hi
Please take the time to read this Hints and tips thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=583638 your solitare game is actually the first tip in the list.

By the way I use a skyfire/opera combo Opera for day to day and skyfire for anything that requires flash or silverlight it's got quite a good implementation of the two but not an everyday browser (imho) you may like it though just google for it. If your looking for apps that are free check out freewarepocketpc.net you will have to sift through a fair few apps there but you can search for what your after just try and check that wvga is a supported resolution for the app as some will look terible.
In terms of games experiment 13, electopia and xtract are pretty good you can find experiment 13 and xtract on freewarepoketpc.net. Electopia you'll have to get from the developers site.
Happy hunting

First, you need to know Java.
Next, then you can adapt and use that for the Android platform.
There are a few good sites... anddev.org is descent with code and tutorials and a few others. But there isn't as many as you would think.

You have to apply for AppInventor for now. It's in a BETA stage (as is a lot of google products) and it might take a while for them to approve of you.
