Magician - GPRS Connectivity Issue - Please help - JAM, MDA Compact, S100 General

Hi,
I have been having connectivity issues with my PPC, the GPRS connects for about 2 minutes and then disconnects with a message "cannot connect due to unknown reasons...".
This was initially a problem that my friend faced, hence just to check it out if there was a problem was with the device or the phone, I used his SIM and connected on my phone which worked fine…now after a week I have been facing the same problem.
Please help, both of us cannot use the GPRS for more than 2 minutes…Please assist.
Specs:
Krome Spy -HTC Magician
WM2003
ROM: 1.12.00
Radio: 1.12.00
Protocol: 1337.42
ExtRom: 1.12.136
Service Provider: Airtel, India
Kind regards,
Zakir Ulla.

Hello Mister B,
Thank you for your response. I have done as suggested in the post, but to no avail the problem still persists.
What I am unable to understand is how I was effected by the same problem as my friend after using his sim on my device.
Any further help in this regard would really be valued.
Kind regards,
Zakir Ulla

GPRS Problem After Upgrade

Dear Sir,
My Name Ahmed Kadry, I'm Chief Technical Officer for GoodNews4me, I did upgrade to my 32MB O2 through the web site http://www.myxda.com "RUU_CEv31417wwe_O2-Asia_C1204.exe " and "RSU(GPRS_416_ENG_O2).exe", and after doing the upgrade I'm facing problems with GPRS connection and the telephone as well, The problem is when I connect through GPRS for the first time it works but after disconnecting from the GPRS and try to reconnect again it fails plus if any one tries to call me after disconnecting, my mobile become out of service. It only works if I switched my phone off and then on again, I checked with Vodafone our network operator here in Cairo Egypt, the technical people said it is O2 Problem.
I have tried to use another O2 without being upgraded it works fine, it will be highly appreciated if you could advise on the subject, or how can I go back to my original ROM without upgrade for both files
My current O2 Info is:
IMEI: 350312010540248
ROM version: 3.14.17 ENG
ROM date: 10/11/02
Radio: 4.16
Protocol: 32S54
Mmmm.
I've had this as well. I'd be keen to find out a work around.
Cheers!
Simon.

May you send me the RUU and RSU file via Email? Or give me an other address to download it.
It's because my XDA have a IMEI that isn't allowed to download.... :-(
You can use my email: [email protected]

Please tell us your make of wizard and the rom, maybe a whole rom upgrade will solve your problems.
hi!,
my wizard it's a mda from era (polish t mobile)
ver 1.6.2.8 PLK
date 11/1/05
radio 1.13.10
protocol 4.0.13.24
extend 1.6.2.116
and one thing more, after ended gprs connection i can see restart of gsm, bars are blinking and it log on to net again without requesting pin code, but the problem is i can't make call and answer after soft reset everything backs good
Can suggest using a more up to date rom, not sure if there is a newer PLK rom, but what about a WWE rom?
ok i'll try this but let me know if i can find it on XDA ftp? and which one is it
i have got this phone 2 weeks ago and i still try to lern sth new about it
merci beacoup for Your help
Try the polish t-mobile web site first to see if they have any updated plk roms.
If not most mda users here are using qtek rom ftp://xda:[email protected]_2170702_21707102_20710_QTEK_WWE_Ship.exe
Download above rom, user name xda password xda
Backup all important information as everything will be lost.
Unlock device - super cid is best get unlocker from here and follow instructions http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=33796
After unlocking flash device with above rom via activesync
Hope that helps
The behaviour of disconnecting from the network and reconnecting without asking for PIN sounds familiar to me.
I think it is caused by bad connections to the SIM.
I have a dual sim and afterhaving modified it too much i my sims did not make good contact. It occurred more than once that my phone switched sims without me having 'said'to do so (switchin sims is done by powering off/on radio wich looks a bit the same to the dual sim adapter as fawlty contacts).
Advice; clean the contacts of both sim and phone before you upgrade (although I can recommend an upgrade to aku 2 roms)
i had upgrated to this one - prodigy......WWE_ship from xda ftp and now i'm waiting for problems maybe there will be no problems ...
big thanks to Those of You that answer my questions ... thx

Qtek S200 issues

Hello guys,
I was looking for a solution for my problems with my Qtek S200 and Google pointed me to this forum. Found lots of useful info here, however couldn't solve any of the problems I have. Hopefully some of you can help me.
1. no matter what I do, the device wouldn't sync through the USB cable, it will only sync through IR (I'm using ActiveSync 4.2, same problem with 4.1 before I updated)
2. wouldn't beam files through Bluetooth. No problems with receiving files though.
3. I've tried to update the ROM, however all I got was "Invalid vendor ID". I've tried Lockiwiz to unlock the S200 before trying to update the ROM, however it came up with an error message aswell, so it turns out to be impossible to update the ROM either. I've tried registering my device on Qtek's support website, but it wouldn't take my IMEI number.
More info on the S200:
ROM version: 2.9.7.24 WWE
ROM date: 2/9/06
Radio version: 02.07.20
Protocol version: 413.1.03
ExtROM version: 2.9.7.106
Model No: PM300
I would appreciate any opinions and suggestions on how I can fix these problems. 10x :!:
No Sync
Hi
I had this problem tried for hours to get it to sync nearlly sent the machine back then found this
It has a problem with certain firewalls follow the link tell you all about it. I use trend and I followed the instructions and all was well.

Thanx s2tephen, that was really the problem! I went through Microsoft's instructions, however I had to exit the firewall to make ActiveSync work.
Anyway, 1 down, 2 left!
Unlocking
www.imei-check.com or www.imeicheck.com not sure which on but i used them cost £20.00 but worth it unlocked in about 5mins, can't have everything for free.

10x everyone :!:

neo never finds any wlan network - pls help!

hello,
my xda neo never finds or displays any network. Did anyone experience a similar problem and has a solution??
My biggest worries are, that i dont know if it is a software or hardware problem
i did a hard reset, turned on the wifi in the comm-manager and no network is displayed altough there are several networks in this house ranging from secured to open networks...
i also tried programs like wifiknife and hitchhiker but no networks are displayed... wifiknife says that "tnetwln1 is found and ok" .... but then no APs are found...
here are also my version numbers:
ROM:2.15.4.47 GER
Date 3/9/06
RAdioRom: 02.19.21
Protocol: 4.1.13.09
extROM: 2.15.4.140
I would appreciate any help. thanks.
Do you Sniff with Netstumbler? Or search over build in Wifi Driver? Do you use a Provider Based Rom or a Custom made Rom?
i used wifiknife as well as hitchhiker...
and of course the internal wifi application. but none of these finds ANYTHING...
i have the normal provider based ROM, but as far as i know it is the newest official update from the O2 website. ?! but i am not sure. I would try a custom ROM if it is better, but i do not know which is good for my xda... ?
and does it help my problem at all?
