I have a dutch HTC P4350 and I hate the green today theme.
But when I change the today theme, the device asks for a soft reser and when its again up and running the dailer skin has disappeared.
I only have grey buttons which are ugly (imho).
Has anybody this problem?
Can it be fixed?
I was thinking that the problem is a invalid link in the registry to the default dailer theme because when I restore the original htc green today theme, also the dailer is restored (after a soft reset.)
Can someone help me???

I have this problem also. I have tried two hard resets and nothing works.
Can't say I've ever used the skin, so don't know what it's doing, but the long way around might be to get the .tsk file (the theme) and decompile it with WinCE Cab manager to see what registry settings it's changing.
Then just ensure that those registry keys stay as they should after changing the theme.

Hmm, decompiling the tsk file, seems to be difficult.
I spoke to HTC support, but they don't know the problem exist.
Think it's a bug in the rom or ext rom because I have no problem with my HTC P3600.
try this
On my HTC Herald (p4350) the Smart Dialer Application skin has a light gray background and the text (caller/callee, elapsed time, etc.) is in white and therefore barely readable.
I changed the following key
HKLM/Software/HTC/?PhoneCanvas/Task0
in that I changed the value of the REG_DWORDs
DIALER/portrait/text:textColor
DIALER/landscape/text:textColor
from their default value FFFFFF (hex) to 000000 (hex). That changed the color of the text from white to black in both orientation modes (after soft reset).
I tried it on my brand new device and dont have this problem. I changed to the standard windows theme and I got a grey dialerskin (with smart dialing working)
Smart Dialing
I had a problem with the HTC Dialler skin disabling the smart dialling. After reading many forums i gave up on trying to get that particular skin working and opted for one of these http://www.zombienexus.net/portal/GH_ShowArticle.asp?HID=35&CATID=1|2|3|4|5|6|7|8|9|10|11|12 The black skin is a little too black for my liking and was overriding the "HTC new theme". I just changed to another theme and back again and hey presto, colour scheme as I wanted it AND my smart dialler working. Haven't looked at the memory usage yet but seems to work fine after the initial wait on first use.
I've installed the zombienexus WM6 Dialpad but on the pads there are no numbers or signs, just blank pads.
Maybe someone had the same problem.

Diamondish Dialskins for CDMA & GSM Touch Dialers Update:Aug3-2008 Updated Version!
Diamondish Dialer skins by [email protected]$ and superflysocal.
Most of the credit goes to [email protected]$ for initiating the graphics of this skin. I just added some finishing touches.
Update August 3, 2008: Vx.04 and Vx.34 WhiteGreen and BlackGreen dialers have now been finally updated with the new call history, back arrows, and darkened Progress Screen to match the rest of the series. There is also a new Green indialer screen courtesy of Bluemetalaxe (with his permission of course). Big Thanks to Bluemetalaxe for his permission.
Update July 25,2008: Vx.14, Vx.24, Vx.44, Vx.54 White and Black Dialers now with more darkened progress screen and more contrast with the grid along with the previous revised graphics. This should match more of the Diamond themes out there. See below.

For those who want the diamond look for a dialer but have not had success with other dialers due to lack of smartdialing, bugs, or 911 compatibility issues, we have created Black and White style Diamond dialer skins for Touch layout dialers. It was written for Touch dialers that time tested for their stability and compatibilty. These are only a skin for the dialer and should not affect 911, smartdial, redial, ##*# functions, etc.
I have decided to start a new thread since the old one contains so many post of bugs and failures. I have redid all the cabs and they have all tested well so far. I can update the thread better than [email protected]$ right now, so he has given me permission to start a new thread. Old thread is here:

These dialers are written for and tested on 3 different types of Touch dialers:
V2: CDMA Titan phone w/ BigButton Dialer or BlueFrog_Touch Dialer installed. These will install into the \Phoneskin folder.
V3: All other CDMA Touch dialer layout (all Touch phones). Make sure on the Progress In Call page, there is a separate Call and End buttons, before you pick this version. Some GSM phone with this type of Progress In call page will work with this as well. See second image of this post. These will install into the \windows folder.
V4: GSM Phones with HTC Dialer.cab or Wizard_reTouched_Dialer.cab installed. Make sure on your Progress In call page, that there is an End button that turns into a Call button after you hang up, before you pick this version. See third image of this post. If you have a separate Call Button and End Button on the Progress In call page at the same time, then use Version V3 (see above). These will also install onto \windows.
If you have these type of phones but they don't install in these directories, please post your phone and where the graphic files are suppose to go.
Caveat: These dialers disables the "text" on the progress (during call) page. The disadvantage of using icons instead of text here is that some of the buttons change state after you hang up. There are two instances: On the touch dialers (non-titan), the Speakerphone button becomes the Call History button after you hang up. On the titan with Big Button/BlueFrog dialer installed, in addition to this, the mute button becomes a save button if the number you justtalked to is not on your contact list. On this dialer, the icons will not reflect this change. Thus, although the function of the buttons will change after you hang up, visually the icon will not reflect this. There is no way around this. If this bothers you, don't use this skin!(Or you can use Tom108 modification linked at the end of this post which doesn't have icons on the progress page)
Installation: Make sure you have a Touch style dialer such as stock Touch dialer, HTC Dialer.cab I inlcuded below (for GSM only), or Mogul Big Button dialer (or one of its variant like the BlueFrog dialer i included on this post). Download the correct verison of the cab for the dialer skin you want. If after the cab install it doesn't ask you to soft reset, then it is highly recommended that you use a software soft reset instead of the button on your device. I have included a SmartUtilities cab below that will install a software soft reset (just go to Start->Program->Soft Reset..a German pop up will appear, select the left button to soft reset). The alternative is to wait about 5 or longer minutes before doing a soft reset, but even then it is not guaranteed the registry will stick.
Uninstall: If you have a stock Touch dialer like Sprint Touch or Touch dialer built into your ROM, when you uninstall, it should revert you back to your old default skin. For titan user with Big Button or GSM user with HTC Dialer or wizrd_reTouched dialers installed, when you do an uninstall, your default images will be lost. To recover, reinstall your dialer cab (Big Button, BlueFrog, HTC Dialer, etc.). If the text on the Progress screen doesn't reappear, try looking here:

I have also included on this first post a copy of BlueFrog Dialer cab (the latest variant of Mogull Big Button Dialer by Paul Hammond) which is required for CDMA Titan phones only, as well as a copy of the HTC Touch Dialer which is for non-Touch GSM PHONES ONLY. CDMA and GSM Touch phones with stock touch dialers should work without any additional cabs. If you have a phone with a custom dialer cooked into a custom ROM, then it will probably work, but it depends on the layout of your progress in-call screen. Read the versions explanantion above for details.

I assume that is a GSM phone. Does your default or current dialer have the same layout as the screen shots you see? If so, then just try installing the skin.
IF not, then uninstall any previous installed dialers, then install the HTC dialer.cab on the first post and see if all functions work well. If it does, then install one of the V4 skins.

It should, but these dialers do not support video calling.

they work fine on my polaris... install HTC Dialer.cab first tho.
I have got it working with Smartdialing on HTC Touch Cruise. I used the "Diamondish WhiteGreen Dialerv3.31.cab"

Having this skin, you can choose type and quantity of active functions. You can edit the register or use Schaps Advanced Configration Tool v 3.x to do it.
This solution don't replace the existing CommManager. You can use both. Use the Advavanced Config to choose between skins:
On/Off Button - for standard Diamond skin
Large Button - for Kaiser or DiamondStyle skins.
Buttons names will be displayed in your language.
In Dimond Style skin you can use 7 to 10 buttons (from 12).
WARNING! When you use 10 buttons, place the Sound/Vibrate button in last line for better performance.
In Kaiser skin - 10 buttons (from 12).

Can this be made a tab in TF3D?
I renewed the graphic files (Look in the preview), but i´m not able, to make a cab out of these files. I don´t have the knowledge in this way. If someone want´s to make this job, i post here the changed graphics. But at 1st it would be good, to get a feedback.
To integrate it in TF3D, you can use the Softkey Changer. With this program you can replace one tab of the homescreen from Programs or else to Comm Manager.
Is it possible to make a 3G button. I use it a lot to save battery.

Having this skin , you can choose type and quantity of active functions from 7 to 10 (12 accessible). You can edit the register or use Schaps Advanced Configration Tool v 3.2 to do it. Now you don't need to change buttons pictures as in Kaiser CommManager.
BUT I haven't standard icons for buttons InternetSharing and VOIP to finish this work.

I´ve got it to run...with some tricks. But i don´t like, that this module don´t recognize, that there are masked .png-files. So all, what should be invisible, is now white. But the functions are okay. It integrates itself into the Comm Manager in the Connection-Tab. But not in the new seperate Comm Manager tab, that´s a problem.
Also there are little graphic errors, which are not in the original graphics.

Really like the concept here. Might need some work on cleaning up the images and maybe adding a little depth. Great work though.
Ive tryed it now. I cant delete it at all. When i try to delete it, and when i try to open the comm manager again, ill get a black screen, with white text from kaisers comm manager

Check the registry keys, for Diamond standard must be:
[HKLM\SOFTWARE\HTC\CommManager]
SupportedFunctions=6
DisableButtonText=3
For Kaiser:
SupportedFunctions=10
DisableButtonText=2
And soft-reset, of course...
Or use Advanced Config \CommManager: choose your 6 function and On/Off Buttons.

I found the solution to put the original commanager, all commanager have installed work very good and configurable with advenced-config

No, this solution don't replace the existing CommManager. You can use both. Use the Advavanced Config to choose between skins:
On/Off Button - for standard Diamond skin
Large Button - for Kaiser and DiamondStyle skins
in future I want make default skin available in Diamond too.

I have problem with WM6.5 Default Dialer When I Didn't add any
skin from htc for dialer ihave to push and hold 1 or 2 second on kepad
to it response i solved this problem by adding Topaz dialer Tachi
PhoneCanvas (I Recooked after adding

but there is another problem became and its don't show any contacts
Up of the keypad ( WM 6.5 Default Dialer ) i can see the scrollbar
but i cant see any contacts look like the font color is White Maybe

You have to remove TouchFlo Package i think removing that package will work with only
