About Windows Mobile 6, GPS & iFonz on XDA Neo (o2) - JAMin, XDA Neo, S200 General

Greetings.
I can get a XDA Neo from o2 without SIMLock for 100€, used, only 7 months old.
I'm not sure if I should buy this one, because I have some questions, he couldn't answered me:
First: Is it possible to get the XDA Neo to Windows Mobile 6 via this guide?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=350033
And do I need some extra stuff, or is anything I need included in this topic?
Second: Anyone tried GPS via Bluetooth / USB on it? Any problems? Run it stable?
Third: I'm a huge fan of the iFonz Theme mentioned here in the boards, I would like to know, if anyone had tried it? Does it work stable?

1. yes u can. if it is sim unlock & cid unlock
2. yes, i use holux gpslim240 via BT no problem. depends on software, if it's good like tom tom no lag. using garmin mobile xt, stable
3. haven't used it. sorry, read the thread, if people say ok/stable, try it.

Holux GR-230 + Destinator 3.075

To All
I’ve been using the HOLUX gr 230 for more than a year in my XDA II using Windows Mobile 2003 and Windows Mobile 5.0 with Destinator 3.075.
I never had any problems using it.
Last month I bought an i-mate JasJar that comes with original Mobile 5.0.
The Bluetooth seems to work fine because I’m using a Jabra 250V and if I turn it off and turn it on again, Windows recognize that the Jabra is on and work fine.
As you see in “display_2.bmp”, HOLUX work fine in the JasJar, with Destinator 3.075 see on “display_5.bmp”.
But, if I turn off and on again, It appears a message on the display: Cannot open the COMPORT as you can see on “display_1.bmp”.
Why it appears a “?” on the left side of HOLUX? (as you can see on “display_3.bmp”).
It the “display_4.bmp” you can see the HOLUX is working in COM 4.
Have somebody already tested HOLUX GR 230 on a i-Mate JasJar, or similar product using Windows Mobile 5.0?
Best regards,
Jose
This might be a slightly 'dumb' question, but - how did u manage to work fine with WM5 for a year, when it only came out officially just a few weeks back?
IF u did actually use WM5, and not something else branded as such (and I am giving u the benefit of my doubts here) - then MAYBE it was an unofficial and/or unfinished product/version, which might explain your current problems.
I have just bought the Holux 236 which I assume uses the same drivers as the 230, and also had some troubles, but haven't really manged to find time to deal with it yet - If I have any solutions in the near future I will let you know.
Good Luck!

Tomtom ?

Hi
Left the xda scene a while back but now have an o2 xda mini s. which i think is the 'wizard' on its way to me.
Does anyone know if it is compatible with tomtom navigator 5 ? the gps thing should be but i'm not sure if the OS will run the software.
Also does anyone know of any tomtom alternative that costs less?
cheers
yes it runs tomtom (5.21) perfectly. i would not recommend anything else really, its so good. the new copilot (ver 6) is supposed to be ok though, not sure if its any cheeper though. you can get tomtom pretty cheeply though if you hunt around.
I don't really know if I can say this on the forum....
But...search around on usenet and p2p networks and you'll should find TT5 and everything you need there.

Check PM's
Is there any costs after tomtom is installed?
Im thinking grps etc. I presume it will be like being onnected to the internet and could use up a lot?
there is no GPRS use if you do not subscribe to any extra service.

windows mobile 6 wanted for spv m700 aka trinity 100

does anyone have a windows mobile 6 for spv m700 also please make sure it contains gps and wifi n bluetooth radio roms....if any has this i would appreciate some help to find it thanx
Its worth using the search feature, there are some VERY good wm6 roms for the Trinity/M700, but you will need to make sure you install the orange patches. Use search and you will find plenty.
Plus...there is a section for WM6 upgrades to Trinity on this forum.

Tom Tom Navigator

Ok, really newbie here and portuguese. Search already for my doubts, but no concrete answer. Have a htc nike aka touch dual and would like to install gps on it. At least the program itself, cause read already that probably have to buy an external bluetooth device to capture the sattelites signal. Questions: 1- Is it possible? 2- Have preference on tom tom. Which version (cracked one)? 3- Tried to install tom tom navigator 7.916.9189 (qvga black), but when i connect to tom tom home it doesn't detect the phone or the software(tom tom). Anybody knows why? Oh, by the way, i also did the same operation with a polaris 200 aka Xda Orbit 2 and everything is running wonderful. Thanx.
Try another version of TomTom
Install gpsgate. Simple as that. The software cost money but the trial version should have all the feature you need.
I can install and run garmin app in my device. It have to attach to external gps to connect to satellite, without it, we still can routing our trip, but we must follow the route manually. With this app, I can find my way home everytime i go out there..
Sorry for my bad english, just want to share my exp..

questions before flashing to wm5 or 6

Hello, Mr nooby here.
Looking at the threads for upgrading everyone seems really nice and helpful, my brain is saying to me "you can do that".
But I have a couple of questions before I do, as I haven't found any answers to these.
Phone is o2xda 11 (htc himalaya)
Running it says on the about screen microsoft pocket pc version 4.20.0(build 13252)
proc is intel pxa263
The questions:
Do I need to get it unlocked from o2 before upgrading to wm5/6?
I have the cradle but no power supply to the cradle. Do I need one? (the xda charges from cradle when plugged into the usb)
Thanks in advance for your help.
no you dont need to get it unlocked
but if u want to search for "xdadev_all_unlock-v1.6_138.exe" and run it on the phone.
not sure about the cradle but it should be evident if it wont work
ok thanks, all updated, just need to configure gprs for o2 now as its not working.
