Calculator SpbCalc_L & SpbCalc_P Files for 8525 - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam General

I was wondering if anyone with the AT&T 8525 would be willing to e-mail me the spbcalc_L and spbcalc_P image files for the phone's calculator. These two files are located in the phone's Windows directory, which can be accessed via the File Explorer program. I've accidentally deleted these two image files and am unable to use my calculator without them. I am trying to avoid the hassles of doing a hard reset and having to reinstall and reconfigure everything. If anyone is willing to help me out by e-mailing me these two files, then I'd really appreciate it. I know this is an imposition, but I hope someone is willing to help. Both HTC and AT&T have been absolutely worthless, as they are totally unwilling to assist me in any way with this. It's been frustrating!

(we wouldn't have to send them up to have them read?
Appareantly, according to Google, .uif is some sort of 'longform for WordPerfect' format. Any ideas?

You can open these files probably in Coral WP.
A free trial is available at:
http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite?pagename=Corel3/Downloads/Trials
I tried that ....
just about the first thing i did. couldn't get didly with it. Still, someone else could try. I also tried a hexedecimal viewer, out of desparation.....
It seems like some kind of "program" so I would suggest to decompile the file using some kind of decompiler, But I don't know in which language it's written so you should find that out first I guess.
hello
coul you please upload that files somewhere ??? i wanna analyse them

camera.exe - please help!

Hi!
I bought an XDA Exec about a month ago, and I've already had a problem with it. I installed some 3rd party software which it didn't seem to approve of.
Anyway, to cut a long story short - the file camera.exe now appears to be missing. It's not on the O2 disks, and I can't find it anywhere. Can anyone help by sending it to me, please? You'll have my undying gratitude if you do. I might even stretch to buying you a beer.
One thing, though - I'm a complete beginner with this device, so please make any explanations of what to do as non-techie as possible.
Thanks in advance for any assistance you can offer.
Okay, I fixed camera.exe. 8)
Thing is, now camera.lnk seems to be corrupt too. Would anyone be kind enough to let me have a copy of that?

Help me!!!
I got the same problem. Where did you find the camera.exe and camera.ink file.Could you please send me to [email protected]
camera.exe
Could you tell me how you fixed it?
and if i need to replace the file where can i get them from?
Pratik
You need to replace camera.exe - you can download it from here. Or at least, you could a couple of weeks ago.

The thing is, if you try to add camera.exe to your XDA, it won't allow you to do that. You need to zip the file, then copy camera.zip to your XDA, unzip it on the XDA and then it works!
The problem is that the camera button won't work then, because camera.lnk is also corrupt. You need to create a new shortcut for the new camera.exe. I can't remember offhand how I did it, but I'll check it and get back to you.

Modifying OEM ROM

This is my first shot at doing anything with a Device's ROM so forgive me if I mention something stupid.
Basically what I'm trying to do is add one program to the install process, so when a Device is hard reset it goes back to factory + this one other program that I want to install.
I currently have it as a .cab package and the company I work for has given me an I-Mate K-Jam to learn how to do this, and then adapt it for newer devices. (which I'm sure will be a fun task).
I'm using the guide for creating a new ROM found here: (which is fantastic)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=303406/
The only problem is that I have no idea how to tell the package where to put files. The cab I have wants to put files in these directories.
[DestinationDirs]
CopyFiles1=0,"%CE2%"
CopyFiles2=0,"%CE4%"
CopyFiles3=0,"\Temp
If someone could explain this to me, or if there is an easier way to go about doing what I'm doing any help would be greatly appreciated.

Help recovering SMS messages from copy of 'Phone' folder on PC

Hi,I wonder if anyone can help me out - I factory reset my GT-I9505 (stock rom -Android 5.01 Lollipop - never rooted).
The problem is that I would like to recover my sms messages - and I didn't use an app from the Play Store to backup first.
I did though make a copy of my 'Phone' folder onto my Linux desktop. I thought this would give me a complete copy of the phone's internal memory including hopefully the sms messages that I need - and that I could copy the files back to the phone.
I can't see any sms / mms database in this copy - I can't even see any sms database in the phone currently when connected to the computer - probably because phone is not rooted.
I was able to recover a lot of other files and photos from this 'backup' - perhaps the sms database was not permitted to be copied to the PC.
Is there any way that I could restore the messages do you think?
I would be happy to root the phone or use adb or other software - I suppose it all depends on whether I actually have a copy on the computer ( not sure if I have or if it is hidden in some way - I thought Linux would see all the files.
Grateful for any advice you can offer.

Your "backup" consisted of copying files from the internal storage and/or microSD card to your computer. However, text messages are not saved on any of those. They are saved on the /data partition of your device, in an XML file, which you have wiped during your factory reset.
Long story short, your SMS are forever lost. Next time use an app for this.
Thank you
Pwnycorn,
thanks for replying to my query.
I know I messed up but just wondered if there was still a way to recover the sms.
No-one would want a phone that left personal data still on the phone after a factory reset, so I think I knew the answer all along - but sometimes it's worth asking someone with expert knowledge of these things, just in case there is something that can be done.
Anyhow I appreciate you taking the time to reply and advise.
Thanks

Transferring Icons from PC to Phone

Hi guys,
Firstly, apologies if this topic has been answered before, I wasn't able to find much on here. Anyway, I decided that I wanted to have desaturated versions of icons that I have on the phone and was able to extract them onto my PC and change them. The problem was getting them back on the phone, I tried a few methods that didn't seem to work and in the end had to resort to using APK Icon Editor to replace and pack the file without issue. Is there not a location folder on the phone that I can send icons to that will be picked up by launchers or is the method I used the only way?
Any help is appreciated, thanks.
You have to decompile it and re compile it sometimes it need to be signed with the same signature use tickle my android or if you want do it with this app I found in the play store
