is there any possibility to have, near missed sms/mail/call icons, also a "sign" that something is happening in windows live? (I mean, a message is arrived)

Disable threaded SMS also disables sound for new SMS

Hi there,
When I go
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings\SMSAvailable
and set dword to "0", this setting also affects the sound for incoming SMS. I've tested several times and I'll get no sound. Set back to "1" and I'll get notified again. Can I disable threaded SMS and still get notified? If yes, how?

I think you modified the wrong value. To disable threaded SMS change:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings\OEM\SMSInboxThreadingDisabled
from 0 to 1.

Well judging by the fact that the OP tried a different registry tweak, he doesn't know about the "old news" or about the xperia tweak app.

sorry guys but how do i find this key for the threaded sms, i have tried installing hdtweak but it is not affecting it, i have flashed miri 6.5 rom and the threaded sms is a pain, i have touch commander, so and help would be much appreciated

thanks for your good support.
I wanted to know how can i fix this bug. i own a HTC TD2 and when using touchpal(i really like this program) for new sms, when i type a part of contact name in TO: field it doesnt show any list of contacts starting with characters that i had inputed.but HTC keyboard works well.i had the same issue in WM 6.1 as well as in WM6.5.
pleassseeee helpp me guys.any solutions?

I don't know of a fix but you can select "add recipient" from the menu.

mine doesn't have this issue. on sms to: field i just type the name and it shows those contacts contain this name for me to select. mine is td2 original 6.5 rom from htc, hong kong english version, touchpal 3.5

I used to see this in selecting weather cities but I figured out it was because it would put a space in after the word, therefore not finding the city that was proceeded by a comma.
Unfortunately not the case in SMS contacts.
I too am running 3.5

Hi, the issue still exists in version 4.0.

+1 for issue in v4.00.. interestingly it works fine in the contacts list - so if you select names that way it's ok

TMO USA MMS settings fix?

does anyone have the mms setings fix? so the pictures are full size and not 2kbs and tiny? thanks in advance

Hey - I found one that was supposed to be for the HD2. On my ROM, it was showing settings for a Touch Pro2, so I'm not sure if this is the same as other ROMs out there:

Thanks T69 for finding this, it was driving me crazy, it works. I dont know how to make a cab but i did make a reg file for ppl that wants it, just import it with a reg editor and it should works. Not restart needed.

Thanks I have been plagued with tiny pics since November I thought it was just TMOUS because my Xperia X1 did the same thing. Now I don't think I even need to upgrade to the TMOUS branded phone.

No windows, you would need to go into HKLM\Software\Arcsoft and change it from there

It should since, I used the N95 user agent. Try and see, it wont hurt.

I'm not sure what everyone is talking about, but when I send a MMS, it displays a small picture, but if you save the file. It's the same actual file I sent.
Is this "fix", supposed to be make it appear bigger in the message itself or are people getting small picture when downloaded also?

I've actually had an opposite problem with the HD2 I got from a Tmobile store on Saturday.... The phone has been attempting to send photos whos file size is too large for mms, yesterday it tried a 1.6 meg picture. Shouldnt it try to automatically resize before sending, or prompt me that its too big? Anyone having the same problem?
HD2 on stock rom.

When Flashing a custom rom the registry gets all messed up and when you receive a pic it downsizes it to like 4k super small on the huge screen.

I had the stock rom for a couple of days and when I tried to send pictures it asked me to downsize. Never had that problem

I'm having a problem with picture MMS, but it's not too small. The problem I'm having is that a picture message will for some reason play as a 10 second video. It's not really a major issue, just annoying to see when I open up the message. Also, I'm seeing that it the file reads 253KB/1024KB. Does that mean that it didn't download completely or what? When I open the mms, I can save the image as a jpg, and it displays fine in my album. Is this happening to anyone else with Tmo US HD2?

Hey everybody, I just cant seem to get my head around this, could someone please help me out
Im trying to make WM SMS the default SMS client in my Leo Rom (Like NRGZ28 does)
I tried the cab by zenkinz:

And it works great but I cant seem to cook it in.
I used an CAB to EXT utility to try and make a package out of it, and it half worked, however when in the htc sense people list, scrolling across to the text tab, gives me a black screen.
so then I tried add2config (I thought this would be the best solution, so people could uninstall the cab and use normal htc messaging if they wanted to) however with this, the phone is constantly stuck in the initial customization ( I expect its something to do with the prompts you get when installing the cab)
so finally I tried this, I didnt cook in the htc messaging client at all, and I added this reg tweak in:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\HTCMessaging\Compose]
"ExecPathName"="Tmail.exe"
But this is giving me the same black screen when on the text sub tab of the people tab.
Can someone PLEASE help me get this sorted please its really getting me stressed
Also, I thought if I used WM SMS I wouldnt have to abide by HTC Messages 160 charecter limit, but this doesnt seem to be the case? any ideas?

Try disabling these packages: HTCMessage, HTCMessaging_Client, Message_Enhancement, Text_Selection.

i just use these methods it works great i dont have that blackscreen ....maybe your reg entries overwriting !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i think its the reg not being good as i have that problem when i take out the reg settings:-o
you can help it by first going to the messaging tab and open a text message there then youre blackscreen will be gone
but then again i only get this problem when i take out those regsettings so i definetly think its the reg not being proccesed right:-o

Nah I solved it for me I was using an ext pkg, supposedly just for games, and I looked at the reg, and its full of messaging reg entries :O
solved now.
