Camera was working.
This is a G4 Wizard (MDA) with 2.26.001 ipl (originally)
History:
I did a hard spl on it
Then sim unlock with lokiwiz
I put on WM6 (I forget which rom I started with)
The camera worked fine still. I have since changed roms a couple of times, only using the g4 rom utility (no ipl/spl changes). Somewhere along the way, the camera stopped working. When I start the camera app, it just freezes.
Since then, I have tried a couple of more roms, with no luck. I went back to wm5se, no luck. I went ahead and did the hard spl removal, all the way back to reloading the orginal ipl/spl from tmobile w/ official rom.
Still doesn't work.
Oh, and there was a camera fix cab file floating around, but that didn't fix it, and I don't think that one was meant for this issue anyway.
Is there possibly a 3rd party camera software that might work. I wonder if the hardware is fine, but the camera software is somehow corrupted.
BTW, I think I had 2.21.001 when I started. I am unsure how to go back to 2.21.001 though.
anybody had this happen? kinda strange for it to go out suddenly. I didn't drop it or anything.
Are there any 3rd party ways to access the camera hardware?

for me work the new Dopod ROM very Solid and fast i think is much better as the last Jamin and Qtec ROM let me know when you find abetter ROM as the Dopod new one...
I've installed it 3 hours ago and it looks like the Prophet is running much faster than befone.

Used the latest rom version of Qtek.
Just upgraded to the last Dopod version. It is really much faster. No need of overclocking anymore.
I am wondering and as a general guideline, should I always update to the latest and greatest ROM?
I mean there are so many ROM's out there that finding the latest version and to keep up with them is kind of a difficulty (at least for a newbie).
What are your thoughts on this one?

Well, call me a sucker but I just upgraded my JAMin to the latest DOPOD ROM and after restoring all my apps and settings manually it is ... exactly the same. Perf, stability, functionality etc. I basically wasted a day.
The key with the i-mate ROMs is *not to install all the extROM crap* - the basic system with just the Microsoft WM5 bits works pretty well.
I will add the A2DP hacks to enable BT headphones but then I am done with ROM upgrades - it is now good/very good.

Let me take that back - I now have new issues I didn't have before - wireless isn't connecting reliably for example.
Wish I hadn't bothered - I might roll back to the i-mate ROM ...

The Dopod Rom version is much better than Qtek and finally increase with an over clock 240 Mhz.
My HTC got bricked after succesfully updated to WM6 with the O2-ROM.
But then I wanted to go back to WM6_black_blue in english.
Now I get invalid ceritificate error when I try to flash from SD-card, and wrong vendor ID when I use the RUU.
Now I'm looking for the original HTC P3300 Swiss German WM5 ROM.
Has anyone an idea where to get it?

I have a swiss german p3300, bricked.
The bootloader mode works, but the installer shows: Fehler 260 : Verbindung (Error 260: Connection)
The phone is in bootloader mode and shows the little usb sign at the left side..
Can anybode help me?

i had unllocked my compact2 successfully with lokiwiz03a. tried flashing the original T-mobile rom to Charmer_Touch_ver[1]._2.1_TouchFLO Charmer WM6 ver. 2.1 FINAL by vlodeck. but after the hard reset it hang at boot splash whitch says

Now iam not able to sync the devices with my xp machine with active sync4.5.
Can someone help me with this.
Go to the bootloader. To get in it press the camera button while you reset. Then connect it with your PC wait until it installed the device and then run an original t-mobile rom. It's the best to use the AKU3.3 ROM.
After the flashing is compled it should load the t-mobile rom.
Report if it doesn't work.

I've flashed my unit as well successfully, but then it reboots (as it should) then turns off, after showing the IPL/SPL information. Any suggestions?
Go to bootloader, as described before and flash back to original ROM.
What I should have said was that this happens to all the ROMS I'vew tried. I've successfully flashed the original ROM (like the others), but it hung on the boot screen like the rest.
It semms that there is a problem in the bootloader. I think your Charmer is a stone now, because if flashing the original ROM, witch includes the bootloader doesn't help - nothing helps.
i have a charmer and i can't flash any new rms , only originals, what can 1 do?
I had the same problem. You have to flash them as os.nb. Because in this flashing way the system doesn't recognize that you have changed the ROM.
Try vlodeck's Touch Flow ROM it will work.

The only way I can flash my device is by using the ROM Update Utility that has *.* nbf files

OK. one Question: Is your System CGI unlocked? (Bootloader 1.X). If not it doesn't always take the ROMs.
I'm not fully understanding what you are asking.
I can use the phone on ANY network.
It also reads MANY SIM cards as well.

Yes, I had successfuly used the tool in the forum months ago to unlock it.
OK, you have to use the NOID tool then. Otherwise it ereases the ROM after flash.
I think it's the EPROM, but first try my ROM and see what happens.
I've already flashed using the NOID tool successfully. The symptoms are still the same.
NB: The phone boots perfectly, only if its powered by an external 3V power source.
Does anyone know any of the Mtty.exe commands for erasing the EPROM and starting over? I've found no suitable answers in the search forums.

Use this one. As far as I've read so far, your phone will be recognized as a German Xperia by the update service and once a newer version is out (even if it is already, but i don't think so) it will update with German ROM.
My german is very poor (that's why I installed english ROM over my generic german ROM), but I believe I've answered tarnaman as well.
thanks. i followed Step 1 in the mentioned post some days ago. since this update i can't sync. with my laptop anymore. i only get the error 0x8007274a. i tried deleting the profiles on both sides ... didn't help. ... any ideas?
Sorry. When I decided to install hardspl I automatically decided to install the enlish ROM as well. But neither before nor after did I have problems with synching.

theres nothing wrong with my hd2, but it could be and so i wanna be on the save side for warranty.
i got my hd2 from t-mobile and flashed hspl 1.42 to install htc official roms.
only those, no cooked, but hspl is also needed as you know.
now my question: to overwrite hspl i need the stock rom, which was there before.
it was t-mobile ger 1.43
do you think that i can get original spl (think 1.42.0000) with an T-Mobile UK Stock ROM? or would this flash fail?
is there someone who's even the german t-mobile 1.43 on his phone? would be really nice, if someone could make a backup and upload it. i think others could need it too.
i googled for that rom, but didnt find anything.
