Yesterday I needed to send some files through Bluetooth, so I accessed the Comm Manager to enable it.
I used to have the standard black theme with the on/off for each comm (flight mode, telephone, wifi, direct push, bluetooth), but now I have a GREEN one (!) without wifi connection and everything else is different ... I checked my balance to see if for some reason my Dual had accessed the internet and it really did ....... so now I have a terrible interface and can't change it !?!
Anyone else has this?!
Screenshot, please!
And why would you have wifi on your dual? I don't get it..
here it is
NEW COMMUNICATION MANAGER

The Dual would have a wifi bar (on the old one) maybe due to the same reason it has a notification tab for wifi connection. I'm not the right person to tell you why ...
Hot damn thats crazy, never seen that before.
If the screen would be in black, i really would like that ....
Greetings Frank
You have obviously installed some kinda app for it to revert to this.
With registry editor, go to:
HKLM\Software\HTC\CommManager\DisableButtonText
With value 0, you get the green desk you know.
With value 1, you get only green desk with no buttons to tap (! strange)
With value 2, you get the green desk you know.
With value 3, you get the original HTC desk.
With value 4, you get a green desk with buttons displayed in columns.
The original value to get HTC Comm Manager is 3.

yesterday, my atom life showed a strange thing..
the wifi indicator in today was missing. and I can't turn it on by wireless manager, but I can turn the wifi on via wi-fi utility. but if I turn it on by wifi utility, the wifi didn't begin to search the hotspot.
in other thread, I read that I can use task manager to edit the registry, yeah I found in the HKLM/system/state/hardware, I didn't find the wifi value. so I make it own. at first I wrote 1 in the value. the indicator seems to be appeared, but I still can't turn it on. every I want to turn it on, it will take about 15s and it still off! if I tap it again, the speaker will sound "tuck, tuck"..and after I did soft reset via task manager, the registry will missing. and the indicator dissapeared again.
1 more, in start > settings > connections, I found that the Wi-Fi setting, change to Network Card. If I don't wrong, before this happen, that setting was named Wi-Fi, beside the Wi-Fi utility setting.
any1 can help pls??
mm..
this is the screen shot, please noticed to the red circle (not actually circle)

actually the wifi indicator should to be at the left of the Bluetooth icon, but because the wifi indicator missing, the bluetooth icon change the position to left.
First which ROM are you using?
I'm using the original version from myxda.com (WM 6)
Windows Mobile 6 Professional
CE OS 5.2.1236 (Build 17741.0.2.1)

I have my phoen for only 2 weeks now, but it seems i dugg it very deep
So got into Settings / Personal on the TODAY option, choose HTC black.
it looks like you changed the theme of the device.
Well this is ok, unless you did not put some other ROM, on it.
(if you have not changed the default instalation, it seems you have, but try out what i explained above)

Glad to help.
Recently I updated to WM 6.1, so I have to reconfigure my device. Now I can't remember where I can turn off the menu with the big icons depicted at the bottom of my post. I find it really annoying to have an extra window pop up, since most of the time I click the right icon and don't need bigger ones.
I've already gone through all of the settings, but can't find the option to turn it off, though I know it's possible to! Any help is appreciated, I'm sure someone knows.

If you have large start menu enabled then this is also part of it. I don't know if you can turn it off individually.
It can be disabled by deleting few keys in registry.
1)HKLM/Software/HTC/EnlargeTitleBar (Or something like that)
2)HKLM/Services/Largetitlebat (Or something like that)
I don't know where it is gone, but it is...
My Screen Unlock Slider is gone and i don't know how to become him back to my phone...

I've the same problem too.
Few weeks ago I installed a new lock screen program (not S2U2) to subsitute the original one. Later I uninstalled it. the original lock screen is lost. It is now same as the one in WM6.1, i.e. showing unlock button at lower-left and a grey screen is shown to unlock after the button is clicked.
Anybody can help us to restore the lock screen of WM6.5?
Its actually quite simple (for someone who has the files) to resolve, i made a thread this morning with the same problem. ill copy the important parts:
The slider im looking for comes stock (i think ?) with the 1.61 ROM, it is transparent and uses the same type message symbol as the one in Sense. The files needed can be found in resco in the windows folder.
These are the full names of the files required to restore the slider:
\\windows\\icn_em_up.png
\\windows\\icn_em_dn.png
\\windows\\icn_mc_up.png
\\windows\\icn_mc_dn.png
\\windows\\icn_vm_up.png

\\windows\\icn_sms_up.png
\\windows\\icn_sms_dn.png
\\windows\\LS_LockSliderLong.png
\\windows\\LS_LockSliderLong_Dwn.png
\\windows\\LS_LockSlider.png
\\windows\\LS_LockSlider_Dwn.png
Should be a simple copy n paste thanks
Hello,
in my tab a t590 (2018) with Oreo 8.1, there isn't blue light filter option. I have looked for it under display preference but nothing there.
In the drop down menu, in the action bar, when I keep pressed any icon suddenly it is opened a new window to adjust the preference, except with blue light filter, when I keep pressed the option, nothing happens.
I can activate the blue light filter in the drop down menu, but that's all. I can't adjust its options.
Is this normal?
Thank you.
Excuse me for my English.
It seems that in this review the user had a blue-light filter setting, but my 2018 Tab A doesn't have the option (XSA aka Australia region) at all.
Just installed the latest UK firmware (https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-tab-a/SM-T590/BTU/download/T590XXU2ARK2/247142/), and I can confirm I now have a blue light filter! Huzzah! However, I can't seem to change its color temperature as with my S8, seems like it's stuck on the one level.
After following the instructions on a reddit post for the S9 (https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyS9/comments/95oksy/heres_how_to_make_the_systems_blue_light_filter/), using the Nova launcher, you're indeed able to access Night Light settings and change intensity/schedule (and you don't have to commit to the Nova launcher either!). After following that I now have this as a shortcut to access Night Light settings whenever I use the Nova launcher:

So, for what you are saying, it's normal, isn't it?
Thank you for your replies.
