is there an app out there that will allow me to set touchflo gestures to open up different apps, without having to install one of the "aftermarket" touchflo apps?

Aftermarket as you have to pay for it? So not even 3rd party apps that people have written?
i was hoping there was a way to control the native touchflo, instead of just running another touchflo program on top of it.
TouchFlo is only for scrolling, there are ways to change the pressure threshold....but thats about it. I you want to do all the other things that you mention I would highly suggest FTouchSL 2.5, it rocks!

Dear ALL,
I was just wondering if there is a program that minimizes (Minimize.exe) the running app but than with an slide down animation like the iphone which you can use with Touchflo.
I would love to have this too.
But for now, this is your best bet with app transitions.
There's FtouchFlo that uses gesture and there is a minimise.exe by efrost, the same developer of FtouchFlo.
Then there's the much much improved version - FTouchSL, which has all the gesture and launch application, etc build into one. Go to www.ftouchsl.com to find out more info.
Looks like you misunderstood. He is already aware of the Minimize.exe of efrost. But he wants a minimize.exe that has an animation of the current app being minimized to slide down or something.
Excactly! I already bought Ftouchsl. It works perfectly. I use a iphone UI and it would be nice to minimize with transition or animation effect.
I'm sure it could be done since PointUI and Touch Commander already does this.
Try pm'ing roozbeh on this forum. I'm sure he could do it.
I did PM but still no answer yet. Keep hoping.
I can't believe HTC has not provided us with a way to edit the Home Screen Tabs. Yes I can hide/unhide them, but I want to add my other apps to it and have it to show up on the bottom row.
Is there another way to do this? Registry? I don't want to use 3rd party app to do this, but if it is needed then so be it.
Anyone?
you can remove and rearrange them, but not sure how to add to them settings>personalize>home screen tabs hope that sorts one of your problems fellow ford driver
Thanks. Yeah, I can remove/rearrange them, but no way to add other apps to it.
there are some 3rd party tabs you can add, manila tv, facebook, gps etc...
but you cant just add an app into the slider, that's what the quicklinks are for....

That's the point... HTC should have provided us with a feature to allow us to edit it.

The slider is for navigating through the various parts of HTC's sense interface
Hey all!
I know it might sounds stupid, I'm kinda new to this Andorid stuff
I have the MDJ Revolution HD v.1.2 on my HD2 and can't figure out how to remove\delete shourcuts from the all apps screen, Not the home screen, the all apps screen
I tried everything, can't drag them anywhere cause it says my home screen is full and when it's not, i tried to drag them down and delete them but... Nothing
I'ts there a way to totally remove\delete them from the apps screen- it's a mess!
Thanks guys,I hope you'll make my week by helping a new stupid guy solve this out
=)
From homescreen, click menu button to bring up menu c screen, click menu and find application in menu setting screen. On application manager screen, choice and click on application you do not want and uninstall it. Rhis method will uninstall your application, therefore to have it back, you have to reinstall it.

Thank you for your answer !
But i guess you got me all wrong, i don't want to Uninstall apps.. just to remove the shorucuts of them on the all apps screen( once again, I'm NOT talking about the Home Screen - just about the All Apps screen. I moved my shourcuts to folders like;games, media, etc...
now all I want to do is to remove the annoying shourcuts (Igot too many) from the all apps screen.
Got it now? I wanna keep my apps, got them all in folders,,, now please help me remove the shourcuts on this all apps screen
thanks again!
That's down to the launcher. What launcher do you use? (Please say launcher pro!)
Oh yeah, and I'm not being all "know-it-all" like, cos I don't, but it's the App Drawer. Other people will at least know what you mean if you call it something we recognise

I'm afriad I don't use one or know what that is.... Yeah, i know, I'm new to this, and new=stupid.
If you understand my problem with the shourcuts on thr all apps screen i'd love to know what you got to say about it.
thanks man
New don't mean stupid mate - you are stupid if you're stupid though
The launcher is the homescreen, with all your shortcuts and widgets on it, and encapsulates the app drawer as well.
In your case, since it's a HD build, I'm guessing that means Desire HD, and I'm also guessing that you have Sense on there.
Is that right?

Yeah!!! 100% right.
Okay. Do you want to keep Sense? I only ask because I use something called Launcher Pro, which is basically like your desktop, with widgets and shortcuts, but it also encapsulates the app drawer. With Launcher Pro you can hide shortcuts from the app drawer, but I've never seen this in any other launcher, including Sense.
Is there a way to keep sense and still be able to remove the shourcuts i don't want?
I like the sense thing.
Its just weird I can't find a way to deal with this all apps screen and edit it somehow.
btw- thanks for helping, =)

No worries mate, but as I said, Launcher Pro is the only launcher I know of with this option. It's something that would be in the launcher itself - not something that could easily be added on.
Got it. so I guess Sense and removing shourcuts is something that can't be done,
Thanks again.

Not that I'm aware of. Unless there's some hidden method within Sense itself then I'd imagine that you're asking for new functionality, which would need re-coding and a rebuild of Sense.
I've had a bit of a google and couldn't find anything else either.
I know it's not ideal, but try Launcher Pro. It's in the market and it's free (there's a paid version with some more options). When you press the home button you'll get asked what launcher to use, so you can toggle between Sense and Launcher Pro (and the default Android Launcher) and see which you prefer. It'll mean setting up all your pages again, and you won't have access to the HTC widgets in Launcher Pro, but there's swings and roundabouts.
If you don't like it, you just uninstall it and go back to using Sense. It won't affect your current Sense setup at all, so you won't lose anything.
Hi just curious, yiu can change icons etc
Like your pc etc
Can i change app, sysem icons with ones i want?
Thanks in advance people

You could use desktop visualizer to kind of create icons, where you can choose the icon for application and so on...just take a look at it

Interesting, i have checked it out, going to play with it later (The app!) Then report back.Looks good though, cheers mate
This feature really should be included in sense, very time consuming having to use the app just to remove the text from under the icon.

Well, if you use a a different launcher, like launcherpro or adw, you can use custom icon packs(Suave etc).

Yup, using an alternate launcher in my opinion is the easiest way. There are plenty of themes available, and you can also change individual app icons very easily. I use Go Launcher Ex. It has some really cool transition animations.

I totally agree, HTC, must realise that ALOT of their customers want to tweek Sense more than they currently allow, so they eventually turn to other launchers.
Causing negative feelings towards Sense... as stable as it is!
I also prefer Go Launcher Ex for this, because not only does it allow Icons to be easily changed, but also renaming of apps.
I hate to see names cut off on the homescreen so I change them - for example
Tune In Radio is cut to Tune In... - so I change it to 'Radio'
One solution could be with Folder Organizer App. In Folder Organizer create a shortcut of app you want and simply change the icon. Afther that go to home, add, shortcut, Folder Organizer Item, shortcuts and select the one you created.

I don't find any reason for accessing internet with a time gap even when the recommended apps list is off. And by killing the background apps completely you can boost any launcher. So nothing special.
I switched to it. Had to turn app recommend off. Was using nova prime like everyone bit fed up with tinkering and the space all those custom packs take up
Y would you want to make your phone like an iPhone?

Why*
This is an ignorant statement.
Why would you make your phone like Ubuntu?
Why would you make your phone like Firefox?
Why would you make your phone like Windows?
Why would you make your phone like ChromeOS?
Because Android. That's why.
We can ultimately customize our phone to whatever degree we wish, why not take advantage of it?
Hi. Does anyone know how to uninstall the apus launcher? There is no uninstall option in the playstore, es file explorer deletes the file but the app generates it again and deactivating it from the settings doesnt work aswell it activates on its own. I would like to use the normal google launcher and delete all apps that i dont need.
Many thanks

Uninstall it under settings.
I tried this launcher. Didn't look light and small. I still haven' find better launchers as apex or nova.
@Mario thanks but tried it all...wont work.
APUS
Cool!
Tried it, it was fast and snappy but I just couldn't get past the bloat,
Feedback, themes, wallpapers of Asian girls, and the other icons in the app draw, I removed many features in the settings to help.
If it was light without that stuff it would be great, I like nova and apex too much
