sup guys, Let me just start by saying i looked around couldn't find a straight answer on this...Im getting my new mogul tomorrow.I have to send my old one back.So i relocked it with spl 1.06 then flashed sprints 2.17 on it from htc's site.now i wanted to check my spl.i held cam button + power button and hit the soft reset. now my screen for spl says titan mfg 1.07 instead of 1.06...Is this something normal that 2.17 does? Or can they tell i was unlocked? Should i try to reflash 1.06? or am i just being over protective?
never mind answered my own question with the new phone i have.

Hi there.
I am going to buy a very very cheap new Herald.. One bad thing. It's bricked. But bootloader (Tricolor) runs. My question is: How to flash official WWE ROM WM6.
(HTC_P4350_SPA_4.17.412.2_4.1.13.44_02.94.90_Ship.exe)
What IPL / SPL version does it have?
If its lower than 4, you may want to reconsider buying the phone since it may be permanently bricked, requiring being sent back to HTC which will only mean more $$$
TO check the IPL SPL version, you need to go into bootloader mode, which means hold down the camera button and soft reset the phone (sticking the stylus into the reset button the left side of the phone under the volume slider) while keeping the camera button pressed the whole time until you get a tri color screen with the version numbers. If they are less than 4something... you run the risk of permanently bricking the phone
ok..
Bootloader seems to be showing this:
IPL 1.11.0001
SPL 1.11.0001
USB
This is not good, or yes?
Ok, another way...
In attachment is picture of bricked Herald. Is any way to unbrick it - WM5/WM6?
Stock RUU ?
Are you guessing or you know what I have to do?
The problem with having an IPL/SPL thats less than 4x ... is that from my understanding, once its bricked ... there's no way to fix it without sending it to htc..
If you buy any chance have a stock ruu to try to run on it, but i don't know if that would work.
Try one of the htc roms from the herald wiki
HMmm.
To big risc for me. I don't know if that would be unbricked. I am go away from it. Sorry.
I unlocked the phone using the v3 pof method and it worked and the phone calls were working.. glad i spent the time to do so and went to bed.. this morning i turn it on and it freezes in the att logo and doesn't go anywhere else.. despite soft reset hard reset and doing the two button stylus method...
so is my phone bricked or fried? it sucks cause it was working and not it won't pass the att logo... i can go to the tricolor by pressing ok and power button... any suggestions/
Try flashing rom, SPL?
ok, so do you mean go somewhere like here
http://www.htcamerica.net/support/8525/software-downloads.html
to update the rom spl? i think my rom spl is 1.40 im thinking this is the latest or not? anyway i think latest might be 1.40.3 or something while mine is 1.40.01
is this what you mean by upgrading my spl rom?
since i'm able to only go to my boot screen with att logo only i can't go to the device section in win6 and see my rom version ... so i did the ok button and on button to get to the tricolor area.... and spl showed 1.40.. so is this the rom spl that i have?
im hoping this will help clear the att logo screen freeze... if not i have no other options..
i can't even upgrade the rom since it'sat that screen always... does this mean i'm stuck for good?
Try flashing HardSPL

you can still flash from that bootloader screen. see if the following link helps
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Hermes_Unbrick
I forgot to mention i do have hard spl 1.40 ollipro
do i need to upgrade to the 2.10xx ollipro?
also looking at the unbrick from the wiki i need to
"flash only nbh containing os"
now i'm not sure where i can get this "nbh" file containing os and how i can flash it without being able to sync via usb cable since it doesn't get passed att logo splash screen...
BUT
I can go to the tricolor bootloader...
so if anyone can direct me on how i can get the "nbh" file containing os only
(not the nbh file containging radio only)
and how i can do so via the tricolor bootloader, i will give you a pat on the back! i have warm hands so you'll get healing from it also..

Pick a ROM (make sure it's OS only, most are), uncompress it, look for a file (usually. I've never seen a cooked ROM that didn't have this filename as the OS image, but one never knows) named "RUU_signed.nbh".
That that file and read the wiki on flashing the phone using an SD card.
I have a Herald 100, wanted to upgrade to WM6.1, Originally had IPL 1.08.001 and SPL 1.08.001, did Hard-SPL 4.7 as per Instructions, Phone switched off and never restarted, went into Bootloader and showed me IPL 1.08.001 and SPL 4.7 Yan then I soft-reset and now its dead wont even go into Bootloader anymore. Any one can help ???
you aren't supposed to HardSPL with an spl less than 4. You may also need a higher IPL, but i'm not sure.
I've also heard reports that even with the 1.08.001 IPL and SPL, HardSPL still works.
So... to answer your question
1. try charging your battery
or
2. keep trying you might get lucky someday
or
3. you've utterly destroyed your phone and theres nothing else you can do
I get into the Bootloader again, IPL is 1.08.001 SPL is 4.7 Yang, tried with RUU 5.4 but Phone dies after 1% and i get Error 262. Do I have to install RUU 1.8 which was on originally now ??
i'd try it, but i don't know if it'll work
hardspl modifies the SPL, which is what controls the cid lock. my guess is that the lower spl doesnt quite accept the same instructions, which is why it doesnt work.
there are some threads about people who've made the same mistake and recovered their phones. look at those.
I can help you, contact me by PM
ps. Thanks for erase my last post
hey tramuyo, how exactly did you do it? There's been an increase in the amount of people that this happens to, and i'd very much like to have an answer and you seem to be the expert on this.
ps. whats that about erasing your last post?
Did you tried remove HardSPL?
Almost forgot, what model? Language? and make? You may need to restore the original rom to unbrick your phone
Try to do a hard reset. Hit both side buttons... and post results
Hard Reset shows me a Screen Canon Yang with Vodafone Logo and in the bottom right Corner: Now you're HardSPL. When i try and RUU with the original ROM i get no Connection.
On the RUU 5.4 the update starts and after 1% The Phone dies and the Update breaks off.
The Way i see it can either:
1. Remove Hard SPL or
2. Try this with the right Files http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1848145&postcount=5
Problem solved, flashed with SD Card the Image from this Rom RUU_Herald_HTC_WWE_5.4.405.1_4.1.13.34_02.79.90_Ship.exe according to this Thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2148052&postcount=27
Now I have IPL 5.04.0001 and SPL 4.70 Yang
Just wanted to mention, I have not been playing with WM for long, actually only since I own a WM Phone the last couple of month and this was my first Herald Experience, but therefore I have been flashing and fixing all other Cellphones for many years. The Herald Section in this Forum and the Wiki are not to well organised, could the Mods here maybe think of making a few Sticky Threads explaining the Basics to noobs in a Nutshell. I will post a new Thread later when I have a bit of time with my little Experience.
Can someone tell me what i'm doing wrong. I'm trying to flash a ROM but every time it goes to the HTC screen and stays at 0%. I've read this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=653614 and i installed hspl. I got the "we hacked it" message so i assume i did it correctly. Is there something else im missing?
I noticed when I flashed from stock to dutty I did it through active sync and not through micro sd card method. Try flashing from a computer
I have been using a computer
reboot into bootloader (power button plus both volume keys) and check to make sure your spl says hspl after the number
what rom are you trying to flash
Reflash the SPL and make sure you select 2.08 HSPL, and not the 2.08.000 SPL because you already have it installed. As the other poster stated, confirm by going into the bootloader and seeing if 'HSPL' comes after the numeric info.

Ok i got it. I didn't select the 2.08.hspl the first time. Thanks for the help

haha, I did the same thing when I got my HD2. The tutorial wasn't clear as to which SPL to choose and I chose the wrong one by accident .
No problem.
That seems to be the common little stumbling block for US HD2 first-time flashers.
Is that option there if you want to change it back to the original spl so you can flash an official ROM?
You don't have to flash it back to stock hspl to flash a stock rom but it is there so after you flash to stock you can relock that way if you have to get the device warrantied out there isn't anything there that would void the warranty.
I have HTC HD2 from T-mobile.
Decided to flash it.
Hard SPL 2.08 is installed.
Started with a radio. Enterd the bootloader, connected it with the PC, everything was fine, but in the end a messadge came up that it could not update the software. The device whent dark, and now an all attemps to enter the bootloader it shortly vibrates and that all, the screen remains black.
Please, tell me how to reanimate it.

can you give more info please,
what radio did you flash and what rom?
thanks
Like I said it's HTC HD2 from T-mobile.
I've recieved it unlocked with ROM "Moon light 1.23" and Hard SPL 2.08 is installed.
Moon light had some bugs and I've decided to flash the device with "HTC_Leo_WWE-djet". Install went fine but the device refused to load futher then the screen with "Stick Together". I was told that it is becouse of old version of radio, so I've dowloaded "Leo_RADIO_15.28.50.07U_2.05.51.05_2.nbh" and tried to install it.
And faild. Please advise.

Hi. did you actually try downloading directly from your local HTC website the last original ROM inserting the serial number from your HD2?
if you took off the battery and put it back, when starting your device pressing down volume key and power on at the same time.. does it enters to bootloader?
if it enters to bootloader, consider trying a task29 cleaning and only then flash the ROM.

If you have a USA tmobile, (tmous) then radio 2.05.51.05 has killed it and it is dead.
DOes it say tmobile on the case? does it have green send key and red end key? (all other hd2 have all white keys)
