when i connect my mogul to my computer to sync, it changes the time so that my mogul is 2 hours ahead?
my computer time is correct, including time zone, etc...mogul is also set to the correct time zone...when i disconnect from the computer and power down my mogul then turn it back on, the time comes back correct...
When ur phone is hooked up to activesync go to advanced settings and turn off update clock option.
that did the trick!
thanx for your help! of course the solution is in the most obvious place...and searching the M$ site did not give me this...

Upgraded to the new 1.60 ROM hoping to cure this annoying problem but if anything its worse.
I turn the phone off and within 5 minutes its turned itself back on for no apparent reason. No notifications or anything. Cant be doing my battery life any good if it keeps switching on
Any ideas?
That may be something to do with the way that ActiveSync is set up.
I've had this kind of problem in the past and found that by killing activesync by using a task manager of some variety and changing my 'network' settings that the problem goes away
Please excuse me, im quite a newbie at this xda malarky. My xda also turns its self on randomly since installing 2003. you said change your network settings. How and what do you change them to? I made sure that activsync is turned off, but it doesnt make much difference either way.
cheers
I have experienced the same...
And, I've been on multiple ROM's with no avail.
I'm not sure anyone has ever found a solution.
My activesync is turned off, but the damned thing keeps turning on. Its sitting in the cradle at present and it turns on every 3-4 minutes!!!
It is Active Sync
I had this problem with my charger in the car. It is not sufficient to kill the Activesync. You would have to go to the options in the Activesyn menu, go to the new options button in the PC tab (the first one) and there disable the box with the name "Enable PC sync using this connection". This you will have to enable each time you want to sync via the cradle. I don't have the problem in the original cradle, it is only with the thirdparty car charger. I sync via IR or bluetooth and that is always available via the menu in Active Sync.
Good luck!
Johan
ActiveSync i can understand when its in the cradle but currently its sitting on my desk and still turning on at random intervals sometimes 30 secs after i switch it off!!!
Signal strength maybe?
I have same problem, happens mostly in car but not exclusively.
I get the feeling that it's related to the cellular signal strength and the device loosing or regaining the GSM connection.
San Francisco has several zero or almost zero coverage areas so it's not unusual for a phone to loose and then regain a connection while driving or walking.
I would love this device if it worked as expected but at this moment it is the source of endless frustration.
im also having these problems they are head doing never used to turn itself on as soon as i hard reset it just started to do this now and its annoying me so much
Im also having these problems . I find a solution using registry cleaner of pocket mechanic.
Bye
Guys, Check the setting of the ActivSync, most probably you will find a schedule for synchronization is set every certain time. So, you have to switch it to Manual Sync.
I think this should soulve your problem.
Sprite Backup
I too had this problem. For some reason the enabling Sprite Backup battery monitoring and Scheduled Backups caused this. try turning these features off if you have it installed.
I have same problem, its really anoying, have not found a way to stop auto connection even after changing some setting on my computer Activesync & XDAii activesync. I'm guessing theres no way to stop it.
Is there an active sync update available? I'm using 3.7 (build 3083)
For those whose unit turns on by itself, please check:
From your PPC:
Start > ActiveSync > Tools> Options > Mobile Schedule
Make sure all 3 options are set to "Manually".
From your Desktop PC ActiveSync:
Tools > Options > Schedule
Make sure every active options are set to "Manually" as well.
You can manually sync but Activesync still keeps "looking for changes"
I need for help plsssss
if some body plsssss attch the last eddition of xda2nbftools because I am living in Saudi Arabia, and the web site to can download this file is BLOCKED here in Saudi Arabia, they are blocking web sites here then u can't open it at all and no way to can download it unless if it attached here in this forum
Here is it:
Same for me too,
Mine can turn itself on almost as soon as i turn it off, its a running battle to get it to turn off and i very rarely win, I have accepted the fact that mine will stay on most of the time now and have a second battery to help me through the day,
I checked all my settings and all mobile schedule settings were on manual and all the active options are set to manual too, so it wasnt those settings causing the problem,
I cant believe the lack of support that O2 are providing, if this was an HP handheld there would have been a fix for each problem as it cropped up within a week as they have done with each of their handhelds
do the people experiancing turn ons have a card in the Sd slot? i do but i notice when the device is off...... put a sd card in and the device turns itself on i only started to notice it turning on when i got my SD card i might take it out tonight and try then?
Yup, i have a card in the slot all the time, took it out for a few hours this morning and it was no different, still kept turning itself on,
I looked a bit deeper into it this morning too,
It seems that i use it, turn it off and it turns back on 13 seconds later, i turn it off again and it turns itself back on again 13 seconds later, so i try to turn it off and the power button has no effect, i have to press it twice to turn it off, then it seems to stay off for at least 30 minutes before going through the exact same sequence again,
I will list all my installed programs a bit later when i have more time, hopefully everone else can do the same (whether you have the problem or not) then we can see if there's a common program that is on all the XDA2's that might be making them turn on and see if its absent from the XDA2's that are fine
Every night when i leave my device plugged in to the charger and go to bed, i see it frozen by the time i wake up. Its locked up, and nothing works apart from soft reseting it....
ever since i installed the new qtek rom....anyone else having these problems?
thanks,
San
Hi. I am having the same problem with my MDA Universal.
It crashes almost every night (somewhere between 1am and 8am) and can't be re-started other than resetting it. Not even incoming calls go through or the alarm clock goes off.
Sometimes it even happens during the day. Especially when I disconnect it from my computer and the device is in standby.
Did you find a fix for this?
Programs running?
I had this problem with SPB Backup, fixed by using the new version and not having it run off the miniSD card.
Hi,
Did you tried to desactivate AS on wireless exchange by the old well known method?
Don't forget that, like any pda on windows mobile, your 9000 will turn on at 00h00 for refreshing notifications and other internal stufs. If the programmed time for doing these actions is to short, the pda will freeze. It's also a known issue since win2003 first edition. There are tweaks to increase the programmed power-on time at midnight...
What exactly do you mean with AS on wireless exchange mode?
I active sync by USB and don't use AS wireless...
It's a well know issue about AS, for all pda under win2005 (not only HTC but HP, and so). AS if you only synchronize your device with USB or BT, there is a trace in the registry that defines an exchange serveur for automatic sync...wich is not listed in the parameters of AS on the pda. SO, you have to enter these parameters, create a new exchange partnership with random parameters, define the synchronisation on manuel mode and not automatic, validate your new partnership, close AS, re-enter AS and delete the new set you've made. And that's all.
This issue may cause freezing of pda while inactive...with a softreset to power on... or battery draining on the night... (HP ipaq 2000 series).
it frozen when the light blink green -> batterry full. this is main resion..anybody can help me to slove this case...
help??????????
hmm i have the similar problem but when i looked closely it was just that the brightness (when phoen on battery) option was turned to 0 wautomatically. so u guys shud check out it thats the case with you.
You guys should first post your ROM versions, especially since some of you say that it happened after an upgrade...
Ever since we changed ahead one hour, whenever I connect to Active Sync using my USB cable, it automatically sets my clock back 1 hour. My clock is correct on my laptop I'm connecting to. Any ideas?

Install this on your 8125.
I installed that file and its still doing it. I see the Microsoft DST update in my "Remove Programs" list. Is there something I'm supposed to do after installing? It still jumps back 1 hour when I connect to Active Synch.
First, go back and uninstall ALL daylight savings time patches. This is especially important. If you recently obtained the phone, chances are the last owner installed a patch last fall that is screwing you up right now. I did it to myself, I know what I'm talking about.
Once you have them all uninstalled, load ActiveSync 4.5 to your desktop/laptop from MS. It MUST be 4.5, or this won't work right, and you'll still have problems. It can be found here:
https://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/downloads/eula_activesync45_1033.mspx?ProductID=76
Sync your phone. Yes it will screw up your time again, but hold onto your hair. Don't rip it out yet. You ain't done.
Download and install the latest DST patch from MS. It can be found here:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...5C-8AC1-4821-81FE-3F4ADA831FE0&displaylang=en
After installing the patch, disconnect the phone, set the time zone, correct the clock, and do a soft reset. Next time you sync, it should be fine.
Read the entire procedure as written (New! Now with added confusion!) by Micro$#!+:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/daylightsaving/default.mspx#pctosynchronize
That fixed it. Thank you!
I recently formatted my P.C. and put all my programs back on. I installed active sync (2 times) because when I plug my x7501 into it the clock on the phone jumps 3 hours ahead and my alarms that I have set (Ptraval alarm) goes off. I never had this problem before I formatted this morning. I also get a message on my phone about "GPS Satellite" expired so I download the latest and it works. Does anyone have an idea on this as its driving me crazy every time I try to sync my phone to my PC. Thanks...TJ
Are you using VISTA or WINDOWS XP? Perform a Windows Update first.
Did you properly configure the TIME SETTINGS on your computer first? Make sure you have the right TIME ZONE. Otherwise, it will copy the time zone of the computer every time you perform an Active Sync operation.
Well I fell like an idiot the time zone was set to Pacific and I'm in Eastern USA. Thanks so much for the fast response. I had a lot of things on my mind because I had 2 laptops and my own PC to do cause all 3 got a bad Trojan's and I couldn't get it out no matter what program I used they would only get worse. Thank you again...Tj
Since a few days my Touch's clock time is about 3 minutes ahead of real time. It does not accept the time synchronized with activesync and when I use synchrotime the wrong time is back after a couple of minutes.
Any idea what could cause this disturbing behaviour?

When sync'ing with pc, make sure you have allowed for syncronizing date & time
When pc is connected to HD, open Activesync > Tools > Options > Settings > and ensure 'Syncronize pocket pc date & time upon connecting' is ticked
Thank you very much for trying to help me.
Time synchro in activesync is activated.
Perhaps this helps to explain my problem:
When I update my time using Synchrotime over the internet connected via wlan the query shows a time difference of 179.00 seconds. When adjusting to the correct time the wrong one is back after a couple of minutes without doing nothing at all on my touch. The time difference stays between 150 und 179 seconds so the time is not running too slow.
Hmmmm. Haunted black stone! Some one is updating you time in the background.. may be your phone service provider
Go to Settings>Phone>Time Zones> Uncheck - Automatic Change Time zone and clock. See if that helps.
Great! Deactivating the synchro via phone solved the problem.
