Hi
Is there any way to remap the keys on the slide-out keyboard? I want a £ symbol, not the $ symbol, and to enter it I have to get the stylus out and use either the pop-up keyboard or transcriber.
Also, is there any way of choosing which symbols appear on the transcriber pop-up symbol bar, and remapping the stroke used in transcriber for inserting a space? I'm used to the P900 where a stroke left to right would enter a space, just as in the 'letter recogniser' input method under windows. Getting used to the down then across stroke is annoying.
Cheers

Click to collapse
There seems to be a method floating around here...
In the interim, assuming your not entering £ symbols constantly, the following keystrokes will get your desired output:
(DOT=bottom left key)
DOT <G> DOT <SPACE> DOT <SPACE>
Its very easy to get the £ on the Wizard. Just type a $ sign, then hold the dot and push the space bar twice. Viola!
there must be a way of making the £ sign the default!!!
Its weird how there are so many versions of HTC products that are all subtly different... on the O2 XDA Mini S you have both - the "$" is mapped to F, and "£" is the V key.
If that helps
(probably not)
na didnt help just gives me a + sign thanks any way.
Does anyone know of a software to remap the keyboard??
read this

and use AEKmap on that link
For those having trouble working the Sym key (dot-letter-dotHold-Sym to cycle through alternatives), please keep in mind that it only works in certain applications. For example, it works fine in Pocket Word - but it doesn't work in the Notes application; on my Qtek9100 anyway
Does anybody knows if it posible to change the assinment of the keys on the keyboard?
I would like to change the Windows Startbutton into CTRL, So i can easy use CTRL C and CTRL V.
Do i have to change the keybddr.dll for it?
Not to be a "me 2"er, but I am looking to swap the comma and period. They're on the same key, but I have to use the "Option" button (round dot) to get a comma. Well, when I'm option-locked and typing numbers, I use the period a lot more than when I'm typing letters. I'd like to see a way to simply swap those two functions on that key.
Changing Map

In winXP we have right "alt" key to enter accented letter in ie Polish or French language.
Its possible to make Universal "sym" key to act in similar way? What files should have to be changed?
best regards,
Piotr
That what the SYM key is for.
Press the letter that most closely resembles the accented key you want, and then press the SYM key until you get the accented letter you're looking for.
Yes I know that after 3 times Ill have accented letter, but I was meaning that after pressing sym AND another key I'll get accent immidiatelly, like in winXP with nationall keyboard. Anyway, Thanks for responce.
Best regards,

How to type "Pageup/Pagedown/Home/End/</>" or other symbols in the hardware keyboard
It's great to have a QWERTY keyboard, but when it comes to a certain point, I was couldn't find a way to type "Pageup/Pagedown/Home/End/</>" or other symbols in the hardware keyboard. Does anybody know how to do it? Thanks.
Hi all!
does anybody have an idea how to add some characters to the keys when the FN key is pressed? For example I wabt to have a special character when I press FN,a or FN,b. Is there any registry entry which holds the values of the already assigned keys?
thanx for your help
