Pocket Nester & PicoDrive Problem - Wing, P4350 General

Curious if anybody has experienced this problem. Ever since I upgraded my rom from stock I cannot seem to access the games on my storage card from within these Applications. Whenever I open Pocket Nester or PicoDrive I only can view items from my local memory not my storage card. Any remedy to fix this? Thanks!

I think you need something called tgetfile

Let me know if it works, I don't even have my wing yet.

SPB Diary

Is anyone using SPB Diary on the Universal, I have it running on the Orange M5000, but i have a problem with it. It runs fine but then the icons down the left hand side that let you change to contacts/calender etc dissapear. As soon as these dissapear every second the program memory goes down by 0.03MB until it is all gone and the phone locks up.
You can even go into memory and watch it ticking down. To resolve the issue i can turn off SPB Diary and start it up again, but thats only if i catch it before all the memory has gone, and this does not free up the memory that has been used.
Has anyone seen this before or got a solution, i really like the program, but obviously won't be able to continue using it if it has this problem.
I Use SPB Pocket Plus (current beta) but did use the released version.
I personally dont like Diary much unless as a plug in to the SPB PP application, to keep the tabs across the top simple and efficient and not take up to much real estate.
I also use SPB Weather, and also run it as a plug in to SPB PP.
I have never encountered the problem that you are referring to, even when I did run it as a seperate application by itself.
Do you have the latest release?
Also note that I dont think it promotes Diary as being WM2005 release, it just happens to work.
I too was a user of Spb Diary. Switched meanwhile to SBSH Pocketbrreze with Contactbreeze and iLauncher. The perfect combination IMO

Yes i have downloaded the latest build, as far as i'm aware, and this is apparently compatiable with Windows Mobile 5
Well i went for SPB Diary as i was buying SPB Finance at the same time so i got a small discount, for the same reason i did not test the software before buying it!
I will probably look at breeze if this fails to work out.
Pocket Breeze has far, far more options, and infinitely better support via the SBSH Forums, However, it is currently slower than SPB Diary (especially for screen rotation). Hopefully the new release of PB due out soon will solve this issue though...
I must say i was quite impressed with Pocketbreeze after looking at it on their site, I've had a response back from SPB support that hinted towards the fact it may be because i have installed it onto the SD Card, can you install pocketbreeze onto the SD Card with no problems?

You can install it to SD-card and it will work fine. However, it will put a couple of smallish library files in main memory, and they should stay there, otherwise you may have problems with the Today screen when the Universal is turned on - since the SD-card will be powered down and take a while to power on again.

WHeres best to install progs. Card or Phone ??

I got an XDA Mini S and a 1GB Mini SD card.
I was wondering, im putting on VJPhonetools, Papyrus, Pocketbreeze, Smartkeys, Phoneprofiles along with a shed load of MP3's etc. and want to know which will run quicker :
1. Progs on the phone and MP3's on the card
2. Progs and MP3's on the card.
3. Some progs on the phone and the other progs on the card along with the MP3's?
Ta
P.S, how do i get CAPNOTIFY to run, i have it on my XDA but when i click it nothing happens !!!
1.
Some programs don't run well from memory card - any kind of hack (like smarkskey) should be installed on phone, some other programs can be installed in the card without problems. Since phone storage memory and RAM are not shared in WM5 (like they were in 2003SE) you can get away with installing a lot on the phone. MP3s and such are fine to install on memory card. Might get some problems with jerky video/audio (never experienced this myself) but nothing major.

Install X-Button 1.5 & MS Live Search on device or memory?

I have a Cingular 8525 with WM5. I would like the phone itself to run as smoothly and quickly as possible as well as the program (performance and speed). Should I install MS Live Search and X-button on the device or memory card?
I don't want to upgrade to wm6 yet until ATT officially releases it. I have thought about upgrading to Cingular wm6 posted here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=316726 which will have Live Search already.
Thanks,
-Paul
i ended up installing Live Search on the microSD card. it runs ok. lags a little bit, but I have nothing to compare it to yet. any suggestions on X-Button v1.5 to be installed on memory card or device?
Thanks,
-Paul
If something integrates with the core OS in any major way, you probably want to install it to main memory. This would include the X Button application.
Anything else should be on the memory card.
In other words, if the program is going to be running automatically when you turn on the device or come out of standby, put it in main memory. If it is going to be launched manually by tapping on an icon, then put it on your card.

Thanks for sharing!
Is this the only link to this cab file?
I have been looking for hours for this file.
Thank you
Great!!! finally something that works from a sd card without tinkering with. By the way - it works to some degree on qtek 8500 with wm6 as well. I tried it with opera - no problem at all and great.
Bombus - the jabber client - problem!!! doesn't use all keys - direction and input. Other miscallenneous programs - input problem. To be expected though, it was made for different software.
Not a major problem though. The JRebeiro_EsmertecJbed3d works from sd card as well - install and just move the big exe somewhere and it will run ok. The files will be stored in the main memory though. To be exact in the appdb dir in windows folder.
I decided to keep the new version - for instance in bombus the text is actually written you just can't see it. if you switch the t9 on and carefully write your login, pass and server, you can even use it. However, it is only just usable, I don't really use it often, in favour of Agile, so I can live with it.
Never mind, I don't know what was worse my laziness or the stupidity of my question. Sorry for taking up threadspace
I don't have a SD card, how can I install it into main memory? Thanks.
Edit: found it, \Esmertec Java
Thanks! Great jobs!
also great for smartphone
great! I use it on SP3 (WM6) and O2 XDA Atom (WM6). but when we can have jbed with bluetooth?
problem with Opera 4.1 trusted release and this update
Is anyone having problems with this and Opera 4.1 trusted midlet? I am experiencing the following:
Everytime I try to use autocomplete and type an address, when I press a letter it repeatedly makes the same letter. Also using the fast scrolling feature with numbers 2, 4, 6, 8 does the same thing except for without the letters. It just keeps scrolling by itself! Any one else experiencing this and is there a way to fix this?
thank you!
is there bluetooth support? I mean to use it with bloover et other bluetooth software (like chat2u).
thanks again,
s

I gave Java build 20080521.4.1 on my new sprint ROM for my Mogul.
Anyone know where I can get this as a .cab so I can install it into customs ROM's that I flash?
Installed this on an Axim X51v - doesn't run at all, from main memory or SD card. It just doesn't open at all. Any ideas?
new version available

Mobipocket Reader

Hey peeps, I just got my first Mogul (got tired of my bb 8330) and so far I'm digging it fairly well. My only real issue is with Mobipocket Reader. I've been digging around for anyone who shares my issue but I cant really find anything.
The issue is this:
When coming off a soft reset, I can open a book through File Explorer and it will open just fine. If I close it, I cannot reopen mobipocket without another reset. It will begin to open, will show mobipocket in the task bar, then crash back to the today screen. If I try and open mobi by itself, will crash back to the today screen also whether off of a soft reset or not.
I have tried a number of different roms including Ryan mogul 6.1 and 6.5 in both light and heavy versions (in both 3.1 and 3.2), DCD's newest and a stock sprint rom.
I have also tried both the PPC and the Smartphone version of mobipocket downloaded OTA. I have also tried with books loaded on the phones internal memory and also on my 2gb sandisk memory card.
I know this may seem like a minor issue, but honestly I spend more time reading on my phone than I do anything else and any feedback or help is appreciated.
Thanks guys!
why couldn't you just leave this one alone, and go find another reader?
