pointui - Mogul, XV6800 General

you guys should really sheck this out, it's great. http://www.pointui.com

Its been out for quite a while. It is VERY slick, but I think it reduces functionality a little bit. I wish it was more customizable.

New Graphic Interface

On Modaco there is a new interface for the Omnia:

Anyone seen this?
Would be nice to have on the Touch HD.....
looks ugly!!!
Interface looks like from some sci-fi movie, which means it's hard to use and useless.
the project its also on xda.. they released some flash demos and this from my point of view looks really promising.. fast animations and very finger friendly.. hope it turns out as good as they want it to be because this really deserves the hard work..
its a step forward like pointui
A lot of negative comments here guys. Personally, I think it looks ok great, and just 'cos it looks different to manila does not mean it wont work easily.
Let's give it a chance - then judge

I totally agree. Futhermore, I think it looks like a fantastic improvement on TouchFlo, which really is not a user-friendly interface.
I would agree, I think it looks fantastic. I'm not sure it's totally practical, but looks very impressive. Show that to your iPhone owning friends to make them jealous...

SPB MObile Shell 3.5 - anyone used this

Has anyone used this and what are your impressions compared to HTC Touch 3D. Does everything work, any problems?
I have this and find that it runs a little smoother than touchflo.
I have just started using 3.5 but have used previous versions and liked them. It's pretty smooth, and much more customizable than TouchFlo - kinda like the Android interface. (Although I have to mess with it a little more - they've changed some things since 3.0, and I can't figure out how to get some things customized the way I had them before on my Touch (vx6900).
Previous versions had a little bit of battery usage issues, but I'm having that issue anyway with my Imagio, and it doesn't seem like it's using it any more than Touch Flo was. They have a 15 day free trial, and it's worth at least trying it out...
how do I add new widgets to 3.5
just tap the bottom right hand corner "drop up" menu - add widget is in there

Not that crazy about it. It's total eye candy, which is cool, but imho it makes things unnecessarily complicated and convoluted.. Plus, there's the huge interface consistency issue that bugs the hell out of me..
Yeah its Purty!!! And very flexible but I uninstalled it after i used the 3d carousel for a minute or so lol.. I just needed to see what it looked like in 3d since I didnt have that option on my omnia. its one of those things where it all depends on what you need your phone to be.. for some its just right, others too much and for many not enough.. mainly because SPB doesnt open it up to the community enough.. it definately does not have as much OS integration as touchflo..

THEME/UI - New Ageye Infinity ALPHA release out 0.2.7

Suprised no one really mentions this... It's still in early testing stages and all that but I just installed on my phone and started messing around with it. Its pretty darn cool so far. Sweet looking interface and smooth scrolling, kinda has an android-ish feel to it. Here's the thread over at ageye.de with a cab for download.

Nothing special, who`s gonna use it when Schap`s Touchxperience is just around corner, and when you gonna flash phone with sense 2.5, and of course, when new Cookie`s home tab is out and you can customize your UI whatever you like.

I suppose it's a matter of personal taste, but I beg to differ.
I don't like the look of TouchXperience one bit, or SPB Molbile Shell - that's horrendous - but yes, CHT is very good.
The great thing about Infinity is that everyone can write widgets for it quite easily. Also, it looks good and performs really well considering it's only an Alpha release!

TSF Shell available on Market!

Does any of you already have TSF Shell? I myself have it and it's probably the greatest launcher ever made. It doesn't lag at all, lots of functions. I was so surprised. It is available for 12.50$. It's definately a must have!
I was also really surprised how good it works on Desire HD.

It is 17.00$/12.50€.
Not really worth it right now in my opinion.
Less fantastic than in the video, few things are missing.
Takes some getting used to since you can't swap between the home screens.
The lasso thing isn't really doing it for me since the 'gather' option isn't available.
Plus, once you have a nice arrangement of your apps and stuff, you better watch out not to accidentally lasso it and press arrange.
Also, re-sizing widgets doesn't work for me? Pretty annoying.
And the video had nicer looking icons but that doesn't really bother me.
they probably just hurried and released the launcher asap, and now just constantly update the launcher with all the missing bits, according to user experience
I wouldn't worry about missing functionality, that will be added quickly. I really like the concept, but it has some flaws in basic functionality - like changing home screens and lasso which is used only rarely until you setup the shell... also, no sounds when you press icons/folders... player widget displays SONGS individualy which is silly - it would be better to display artists or albums... etc etc... Pretty cool and smooth but basic functionality is missing... he better concentrate on basic functionality than on eye-candy....

Did you made it your self ore what?
Just not that grate.. more funktionality before i use it as daily drive...
The launcher is just missing a few features.
What I'm missing most is just a Settings function.
I mean, the lasso is awesome if you're setting up your 4 screens but after that it's annoying.
There should be a mode where lasso is disabled and you can swipe through the home screens.
Also, when I lasso like 15 apps and select Arrange or something, it jumbles them all up in an order I don't like.
It's great that you can turn apps and put them anywhere you like, but for some screens I prefer if they're all neatly lined out, which is a pain to do by hand because it enlarges the icon when you hold it a few seconds.
Kinda sucks, but that's just my opinion though.

It is pretty good once you get used to it, but it needs some adjustments.
IMO, looks are simply awesome but functionality is a C at the moment.

A better multitasking? I want this!

It looks like we got it first, but I love much more this kind of implementation of multitasking or at least I want that option too.
Nice one LG
Closed & Thank You.
