I recently upgraded to the dc rom with the gps and when i recieve pics from other people when i go to view them/download them i get sent to the sprint picture mail page that you go on with regular internet. It shows a small thumbnail pic and when i go to download the pic the button dont even work. Anyone Know why im redirected to that site and not the normal pic mail site where i can enlarge the pic or download it? It very frustrating first the mms software doesnt work so i have to send pics via email now this any help will be greatly appreciated thanks
You need to update your User Agent String. Here's a .cab that will fix it for you (I don't want to link to the thread or file on PPCGeeks until they get their site straightened out but that's where I found this last weekend).
around the same time u sent that i found that file in the dcd new rom. It works great thanks for your help

Hello,
I am trying to take advantage of sending & receiving on my MDAII.
When I receive a picture, I get the alert message. But when I try to view or download, I don't see the picture anywhere on the screen or in the viewer.
When I try to send a picture I click on send via MMS and the hourglass continues to churn and it never seems to get sent.
If I put the SIM in another picture phone, the feature works fine.
Thanks for your help.
you have the wrong settings in the setup for your mda. Trawl through the news groups and youll find them

Thanks but any chance you could steer me the right direction with a link?
Hi,
if you look in the networking section of this group i have posted the UK vodafone MMS settings and were to put them. All you need to do is replace them with your operators settings but put them in as i have instructed. Just keep trying you'll get there in the end.

Thanks for your reply. But I am on T-Mobile USA. I don't think those settings would work.
GPRS is working fine for me. Just the MMS pictures.
If you don't think that is correct, let me know, but I'd hate to risk losing the settings I already have and potentially lose GRPS.
Hi,
Is it possible to send contact information to another phone via SMS like the nokia's can eg Business Card. I can only send a VCard which uses MMS which not all business phones have this feature enabled. I have searched around and not been able to find an answer. Thanks
Yes,
there is , or was, a program that used to add a send details via sms. But I have lost it. Just posed in Blue Angel forum to see if anyone has a copy, or a download link for it. have not been able to google it.
Just found this thread
Half way down the page, a link to a downloadable cab file

I have the sprint picture mail cab installed on my phone and it works fine when sending messages. is it normal that when i receive a message it takes me to the desktop picture mail site even tho i have my phone set to the mobile version. i always have to download the zip file then extract the files before i can view them. is this the way its supposed to be or am i supposed to be going to a wap site of some kind?
i did a search and came across a sprint_picturemail_site_hack.cab file. i installed it and it didnt work either. also, running nfsfan wm6.1. thanks for any help
Hi,
I've looked though the forum and could not see an answer so apologies if this has been asked before!
I can happily send and receive email using my 3rd party email servers. No problems.
But when I attached a picture file say from the storage card and the phone tries to send it takes about 30sec and then says the 'The message(s) could not be sent. Check that you have network coverage and that you account information is correct' even though there is signal.
If I remove the attachment the message goes.
It a Vodafone X1 with ROM version 1.03.161.7
Any ideas?
Paul.
dunno, the only thing i can think of is the attachment is probably too big. try sending a small notpad file or something first to test it out.
hello peeps, just want a quick tip please..
When viewing emails on my TP2 i get an 'internet pictures blocked click here' link.... anyone know how to download the pictures automatically without having to click the link all the time ?
Also if anyone knows how to do the same for the 'tap here to scroll right' link that'd be great.
Cheers.... drawflex
*bump* yea same issue anybody know how to solve it?
+ plus one for this as well!!!!!
this is a very small issue but it sure is an annoying one for me . there always seems to be some kinda problems when i hit download, tells me i have to wait for the next full download for that email account, which i think is silly because i hit download for it to download now, not later lol you know what i mean, other times it seems to just go into a endless loop asking me to download then telling me to wait and then asking me again to download, rinse and repeat lol.....
There's gotta be a reg edit out there or something that can do it!!!
Any pros out there wanna take a whack at it?? I wouldn't even know where to start lmao.....thanks a lot!!!
If you delve a little deeper into your mail settings:
Tools>Options>Download Size Settings>
Make sure you enable Download Entire Message and also Download attachments

If you delve into your email you would see that this does not work for automatically downloading the pics in an email.
/BUMP\ Anyone with some light they wanna shed on this one ? looks like it aint just me getting a little bit annoyed with this hangup.
This is an age old problem with the WM email application dating farther back since WM5. There is still no fix available till date for this annoyance.

if the sender is in your 'my contacts' group in gmail (I can only speak on experience with gmail) it seems to work.
