Fake Sms - Windows Mobile Development and Hacking General

Is there any app to send fake sms? send sms to my self whith any name i want?

why would u do that u sick... nah just playing use voipsms and put any number at a sender

lol , really ... somthin ..dizzy , ( sorry buddy )

n-sms, from s-one telecom, for s60. really good app. it seems there's nothing for wm

Eye On Privacy lets you do it but it puts "[Eye On Privacy]" at the end of the message without the quotes. I use the program but not that feature but i just tested it out to see how it worked

HushSMS?
It came with a ROM I used recently and sends it as though it's a network message. Worked to my Mum's 3330 anonomously (Sent one saying "Your new balance is £0.00 - Please top up." and made her believe I'd transferred her credit to my phone..
Other people's came up with my name/number in it though.

There's a cellular emulator with WM6 SDK that can do that. Not sure if it's possible to hook it up to a real device though.

Do you know of any application to Message via Bluetoooth?

PPL,
do you use any messaging application via bluetooth? most importantly - FREE
something that works like arcsofts sms application.
It should be able to send messages across bluetooth devices around and also store these message (additional bonus!)
thanks!
Google "Keep Bluechatting"
What kind of bluechatting software? Do you want the other to see your name?
Then try Blue Chat or something like that (note: the other device will need that program too, plus it will not work on some devices)
If you want to stay unknown to the other device, then try BTexplorer (I thought it was free) or BTCrawler (this one is free). If you send a message to the other, he/she will see it as "Do you want to add (your message)?" It doesn't even show your device name*
*Some devices will show you device name. I thought Samsungs will say "Do you want to connect to (Your device)?"
Thanks.... bluechatting makes sense....
well, BTCrawler gives me wilder ideas... nonetheless.... bluechatting makes sense... hopefully it can save the messages too...
well if u are with your team and negotiating something, u might want to sms other team members who are nearby, but not spend money on each sms! sigh! what u ought to do to save a few buck!
Also make sure you follow my related BT articles. For example, here's the link to btCrawler: http://www.netstumbler.org/f54/tool-simple-bluetooth-scanner-18526/
Any of these apps u listed work without the other person having installed the same app?
suppose i want to send a bluetooth msg from my ppc to my friend's nokia, can he not have anything related to this request installed?

Blocking SMS and CallBlocking.

Ok before i used a program like SPB Phone Suite to block phonecalls my question is, Can we block SMS texts from single users ? i would like to be able to block texts and phonecalls from certain people. Is there a way i can add a filter like the filters you find for file types? last resort is getting another huge program like and of the SPB software.
I'm also interested in a feature like this. Quite a few annoying ex-girlfriends that like to text me randomly for no apparent reason.

exactly my point i have the same problem or friends who dont get the hint.
T-Mobile says no
According to T-mobile, there is no way to selectively block SMS messages. This is especially troublesome, given that advertisers (and others I don't care for) are starting to send messages to T-Mo phones using SMS (they know they can't be blocked) and I have to pay for them!
Check out the link in my signature for sms and call filter.

All you have to do (to stop advertising) is reply with: Stop
If you are in the USA:
By law, advertisers have to cease and desist all communications when you tell them to stop. If they don't, its considered harassment and you can file a complaint with the FTC or even sue the company for harassment.
I know this because I was being harassed by an advertiser and I had to file a complaint.

mail me you can ask tmobile to block certain numbers. But i am looking for a phone based application to block sms and calls or hide them and reply with a sms like blocked... that you can selectivly block or unblock. So the sms's will still come just not show. i have unlimited texts so its not a matter of getting the texts i just dont want to be annoyed or called by these people.
lol well if somebody with any knowledge on how to surpress phone calls and or sms/mms's know how to do this maybe they can make a freeware app.... spb phone suite was ok but it is large and alot of the time causes phones to go into a boot loop if you dont remove your memory card.

I found this program it allows to blacklist SMS messages i have not tried put it to use by actually knowing if it works but there is a blacklist feature in it. By category, individual contact, and phone number. For those who are trying to stop getting texts from certain numbers ie 4-5 digit spammers you can infact call tmobile and have a number blocked. i have a family plan and my brother kept texting without a text plan i asked if you can block texts all together and CS said no they can halt from single numbers.
Also once again thanks to all the senior members for all of their help *sarcastic laugh*
Also this allows for exporting and many other features if you view the website of the maker it has SS's

MAGICALL
Call firewall is ok, but I like magicall myself. You can black specific phone numbers/SMS. Also you can have the program auto respond via sms and you can set it up to ignore/hang up/pick up and hang up on certain numbers. Overall GREAT program.
this should help a bit

do you remeber the days when text messaging was free? my nokia brick was my texting machine back in those days lol, and then it was incoming texts free and you only get charged per outgoing, now tmo and everyone else just charges u for whatever packet goes in and out of your phone these days. since pocket pc's and smartphones are running windows mobile it can intercept calls before it gets to the dialer and intercept texts before it gets into the box, all it does it save you the annoyance of "seeing" the calls come in and will hit ignore for you same with text, but i think you still get charged per incoming text even if sms filter stops it on the phone.

Software Pls: SMS Filter

bad situation: Sweetheart erroneously receives an SMS from you that was meant for Honey.
solution: Read and re-read your messages before sending them, and verify that you arre sending to the right person before pressing SEND, but we are only HUMAN, and we make mistakes.
software to the rescue: A SMS editor program that FILTERS your messages and decides wether your message is really meant for the person you are sending the message to.
how?: you assign keywords to contacts and it is saved in a database that the program accesses, for example, you blacklist the words "honey" and "baby" from messages you send to SWEETHEART, so the database will look like this:
Sweetheart-(Blacklist: honey, baby)
Honey-(Blacklist: sweetheart,baby)
Baby-(Blacklist: sweetheart,honey)
so when you type the message "Goodnight Honey" then SEND to SWEETHEART, the program evaluates that this message should not be sent to SWEETHEART and WARNS YOU and DOES NOT PROCEED to SEND the message, but if the message is "Goodnight Sweetheart" and to be sent to SWEETHEART, the program evaluate it as valid, then proceeds to SEND the MESSAGE to TMAIL.EXE (the REAL SMS program for final sending)
objective of this program: WORLD PEACE, actually just peaceful and harmonious living, hahaha. because wrong sending of message is eliminated.
other uses of this program?: you can blacklist the word "FAT" from being sent to your very fat friend, because he feels insulted by the word, or you can blacklist "PORK or PIG" to other people who might feel offended by this word.
Men and Women alike would like this program, although some would not admit it, they would really find a program like this very useful. hehehe.
So now the question: Can some programmer do this pls?
I can do programming for PC, but i havent done Pocket PC programming, i think all this program is an INTERFACE with the user by providing TEXT EDITOR, the evaulates the TEXT, then PASS the information to TMAIL.EXE.
CAN SOMEONE DO THIS?
thanks

Should be possible... I'll be happy to take a look when i have some time..

haha lol
The strange thing is my girl also looked through my messages the day before
I wrote that application... so it was also a bit of personal gain
This is what i whipped up, please note the sending is not working yet...
give it a go and let me know what you think...
to begin click on menu>app. options>import contacts
rescan when the table is filled hit OK
Next manage blacklist
select the name from the dropdown list, add the blacklisted words
for testing i used pizza, banaan (its dutch)
thats also why there is already some text entered in the message are
(i forgot to remove it when i compiled the app )
Once the blacklist is updated hit save and close
in option screen click save
go to menu>add recipient and select the one you've just updated the blacklist for, next write a text, with or without those words and see what happens.
From the testing i did the logic seems to work...
please note, the blacklisted words need to be written without spaces and seperated by a comma
e.g. hello,mikey,banana
also Pizza is not the same as pizza...
let me know what you think..
On a sidenote, the application also needs a name
i was thinking along the lines of
- Stupid Me (what you usually think after sending the wrong person an sms)
- doh! (tribute to Homer )
- LifeSaver
- LoveSaver
- SMSLifeLine
but if you have a better idea please let me know
-= Attachment removed =-
please see next post
will test it, LIFESAVER could be a good name, but it what it does is save my ARSE really, hehehehe.
what i usually think after sending to the wrong person? "OMIGOSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!" then comes the cold sweat, then the customary call from the recepient then 2 days of explaining, hehehe.
what inspired this idea? clearly... is to help my friend who has a lot of girlfriends...hehehe. he tried calling them all HONEY...didnt work
suggestion, converting all text in blacklist and in message to ALL CAPITAL LETTERS before evalutaion could eliminate the difference between Pianp and piano, also, replacing "," or "." or symbol characters with "<space>," "<space>." or "<space>symbol" could help blacklisted word next to symbols. thanks man.

Thought about it, but i think it would be easier just to write the 2 versions,
currently the application checks for the word, if it doesn't find it it checks both <word>, and <word>.
another problem is that I have the program check <space><word><space>
(thats why there cannot be any spaces in the blacklist)
the reason is that if the blacklisted word is Piano and the spaces aren't there it would flag Pianoman as a blacklisted word
youre right, is a beta program available that already sends? hehehe.

not yet, hopefully tomorrow
will be waiting thanks, by the way, what proggy are you using to make this software?
New version, should be working (e.g. sending stuff)
thanks, will be testing this as soon as i find a way to get this on my SD card or phone, im at my work pc and all my tools are left at home. eg. sync cable, bluetooth, card reader, wlan card.
Did you find the time to check it?
yup tested it,
first test, import contacts then manage blacklist - done
insert recipient - done
typed text without a blacklist word - done
send - wont send, send button just reacts but it doesnt do anything.
typed text with a blacklisted word - done
send -no reaction, no sending or warning, button just reacts but doesnt do anything.
thats the result of my test mr. gee. thanks.
edit edit edit,
now this is funny, i thought nothing was done when i press send, but BOTH messages with blacklisted word and not were sent to the FIRST person on the contacts list. hehehe. talk about preventing sending to the wrong person, no harm done, but funny.
the first person in my contacts list replied to me with both text that i sent that was supposed to be for an intended recipient. the texts were intended for a person 'L' but was received by the person 'A'.
great idea
sounds very interesting ... but is there a programm for filtering/screening incoming messages aswell?
e.g. you recieve a message from a special person and you don´t want that s.o. hears it but all the other recieved message should ring as usual ...
for incoming filtering, i think there is a program for that already.
check link: http://www.zedsoft.net/
but for outgoing filtering, this is the current idea so far.
thanks for testing Paul,
I'll take a look at the application, not sure whare the issue is..
This is really good idea.... Keep up the good work
I remember that I was out for work and than I sent SMS like: I was cool, thanks.... to my girlfriend (doh!)... And real trouble started

SMS issue

Hi guys i just got a white Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 last week the phone is really cool and i am liking it but i have noticed a really weird bug/error, when i recieve SMS messages from any short code (i.e. my provider or my bank) the SMS contact is displayed as another contact in phone book. E.g the my operator sends me sms the operator number is 90605 instead of the SMS showing its from 90605 it shows its from mike (a guy in my phone book).
Is anyone else facing this issue? how can it be resolved?
I have also noticed the phone doesn't feature internet sharing facility or no way to use it as a modem and connect ur laptop to the net. If anyone knows how to do this please share.
Thanx guys have a good day..
Mod. edit: not t&a related, moved to general
Can someone please help with the below issue
cheers

Did you check that 90605 digits are also part of your contact mike's details numbers/emails/etc ?
no those are not part of my contacts there are various numbers from the operator for various things e.g 1505 if u have voice mail 90605 to inform you about your bill and various offeres etc...
Why don't you try factory resetting your device once? That might help out. If not maybe you might want to send it for repair while your warranty still covers it.
You need this....

F-Secure sms to finland?
I've had F-secure anti-theft in my phone for a while now. The txt location service works great, and last month I tried changing the sim, and guess what, got a sms on my backup phone with the new sim's phone number, which is exactly what it is supposed to do.
However, i checked my itemized bill today, and see the program sent an sms to Finland immediately after texting me. The number was 358400112368 . Googled this number and only got two vague references to f-secure on a nokia. Why in the world would they need to txt their mothership about my sim? Anyone else using f-secure anti-theft? Please check your bill and let us know if it sent a txt to finland.
As far as using other similar programs:
Mylookout : never worked for me, website says searching, and times out.
remotetracker : Stay away from this program!! its txt request uses no password, so anyone who knows you have the program installed can secretly monitor you via sms. An intentional oversight from the developer perhaps? And pretty malicious at that too! Edit: got it, see post below.
ms myphone : free version can only check the daily sync log. I cannot initiate a location search unless i pay, or am I doing it wrong?
so, anyone with f-secure got the txt to 358400112368? I guess this post will be the only 3rd google search result for this number?

my bad. thanks Samsamuel for the correction. i re-read the first whole page of that remoteTracker thread and the word "password" was never mentioned in his post or instructions.
as far as my original question regarding F-secure, anybody else see the outgoing text to finland when they change SIMs?
no worries.
i for one can't rate remotetracker highly enough. i cook my own rom, so its cooked in complete with settings, so its completely hard reset safe. only way to stop it working is by flashing.
that random text you mention sounds a little iffy, you tried emailing them? see what they have to say?
another vote for remotetracker.
It found my phone when left in a taxi
the F-Secure thing looks nice, i think im gonna try it this evening
lets see if it really sends a sms to finnland xD
I came across this thread, and just downloaded (didn't install yet) the f-secure app.
A couple things I don't understand.
I believe I have read posts here about needing a "backup mobile number", for the company to send SMS to, if something suspicious is happening with the phone.
But what if one only has one mobile number, no backup? Is the app then useless? (Couldn't there be an e-mail, or a call to the landline?)
Also, I see that besides giving this app away, F-Secure sells "mobile secuirty". (I guess that means anti-virus and such. Is that really necessary? I have never used an AV on my phone before, and never had a problem with that AFAIK.)
With the post about the SMS to Finland (probably company headquarters), it occurs to me, they may give away this anti-theft app, in order to get your phone #, and send you text messages advertising their AV app? I wouldn't want to get spammed with text messages. Has that happened to anyone using this?
remotetracker can send email
i've changed sim few time. fsecure only send sms to the assigned number (i know, i've itemized billing, and i can send sms internationally).
anyway, since it can never reply with correct location, and i've already figured out how to use remotetracker, i'm ditching it too. plus, fsecure will always pop up with it stupid checking for update while i'm using my phone. can't it check quietly?

see my previous post. it always say location not available.
I just tried lookout. I like it more than remotetracker because it's easier to use (the online "dashboard" makes it easy). The thing I hated the most about remotetracker (and other apps dealing with coded SMS) is that I would have to use an authorized phone and the proper codes to do whatever I need to do. At least with lookout, I can just go online and kill all my data and locate my phone.
I tested the "locate" feature. It found my phone in 2 minutes, but it was a little over one mile away from my phone!
The "scream" feature: It's a loud firetruck-type siren...it was a little bad because San Bruno, CA (one city away from me) had a horrible fireball accident a couple of days ago.
I guess it does its job. The locate feature is decent, but to think that it was off by 1-mile, it could make a difference in a big city.
