WM6 for SDA music I - HTC Typhoon

I tried to upgrade my old mSDA Music I (WM2003SE, 64MB ROM, 64MB Ram). I followed vbarious instructions to do so, but none of them worked. Is it possible to get the SDAI to working or do you mean SDAII if you talk of Typhoon, Amadeus etc.? Thanks for your interest!!!

Will there be a WM2003 upgrade for Qtek 1010?

Hi- i have tried to contact my local dealer in Denmark, but nobody seems to know whether there will be an upgrade or not. Any clues ?????
You don't have to wait since you can use O2's WM2003 rom.
Sounds good, but what happens with my qtek ??What about the radio upgrade, and can i go back to the previus version ???
Your qtek's rom will simply overwrited by O2's rom. It just like install a difference version of Windows to your computer (May be it's not a good example...). Except the boot up screen, there is no major different.
I think you should upgrade your qtek's radio to Qtek 3.23 or O2 4.21, because these two version were reported working great on the WM2003 rom.
You can go back to the previous version, but you should have a 64m+ SD Card and a XDArit compatible SD Reader (most stand-alone SD reader should work), because the windows flashing utility (program a) is not working under WM2003, you must use a SD card to downgrade the rom.
Hi,
Any links to get the Qtek Radio [email protected]?

Newbie with a S110, where to start!

Hi there, I've just bought a Qtek S110 and I'm wondering about all the roms that are discussed here. Just a couple of questions, I'd be very happy if they could be answered.
- What is the latest rom for my Qtek S110 and where can I find it? I've looked for the Qtek homepage, but my Swedish isn't that good.
- Are the Radio and Bigstorage roms recommended? They sure sound good, but what versions do I need? I see so many on the FTP! I can't tell the difference or the version I need.
- Is there anything else that is important concerning roms that I need to do before using my lovely S110?
Thanks in advance for answering, I'd love to get the most out of this beauty .
Hehe, mine neither.
- I think the latest rom is 1.12 and radio is 1.12 too. At least that is on my S110 and that is brand new too.
- I'm not sure if I would mess with the BigStorage Rom, its not really neaded with 128MB RAM and I'm not sure it is works 100% on the S110 that is slightly diff when it comes to mem configuration
- I would do that softreset after hardreset trick to install the tools from the extrended ron you need and leave the rest out to save some RAM (not that you need to but why install crap?).
By the way, there is an english qtek page here: http://www.qtek.ch/IndexEN.htm
Thanks for your reply, I already seem to have the 1.12 roms, so that should be fine . With the trick when you softreset after the counter of the hardreset, no software is installed? So you have to do everything manually?
Another weird question, why does my S110 say I only have 8 MB of storage :O?
The storage is the internal ROM, you can store data here that will not be lost in case the battery runs out. it has 64MB of ROM, 8MB are free (rest is taken by OS). And it has 128MB of RAM, 121MB are useable here.
With the softreset after hardreset (do a hardreset, configure screen and time zone and click ok - right after that do a soft reset, be fast before the setup of the extended rom starts) you will have the normal WM2003SE PE ready for use but none of the programs form the extended rom are installed. You will find a new folder "extended rom" where all the cabs are stored, install only the ones you like. Most of them are provider branding, or pretty useless tools. You can get better from the inet. You can read about it here:

Thanks very much Private-Cowboy, that really helped me a lot!

where can i find the wm5 for wallaby

can any budy post the wm5 download link
there is no 2005 for wallaby
why it is impossible to have WM5 in XDAI?
XDAI have at least 32mb ROM, too. Why? :?
Somebody tell me plz?
roms are made 100% for a device
it's not like windows on a pc which have all known drivers
roms have only the stuff made for the device
so unless a wm2005 rom is leaked for wallay
like they were for himalaya and blue angel
it's impossible
wallaby's memory is to less for wm2005. there must be at least 64mb of flash-rom better 128mb like the new ppc's and smartphones have. and what rudegar said is still true: no wm2005 wallaby specific hardware drivers available = no wallaby wm2005 rom.

From WM5 to WM6

Hello,
i have a question. I have a Artemis with WM5 in italian.
Is it possible to install the WM6 german version?
Can i download it under XDA-Wiki>Artemis>original shipped rom?
Does it works?
shouldn't be a problem. just make sure you follow the required steps (uspl,...). also, installing a WM6 ROM means erasing the existing one. you will lose all installed applications, your configuration and all data on your device's memory (storage card will not be erased).
also, you might want to consider one of the cooked ROMs since many of those offer better speed, stability and funcionality...

Qs about ROM, quick answer needed please!!

Could i use magician rom in my charmer?
I want to install the WM5 rom because i have there are lots of resources for magician but not charmer.
No you can't. The Drivers are wrong and to bootsequenze is not in the same order.
You can flash the official WM5 ROM from T-Mobile:
