Hello all. I'm new to this...
I just bought a K-jam on ebay, charged it, turned it on and... nothing.
I am stuck on the boot screen that shows IMATE with the various versions:
ipl 1.01
spl 1.06
gsm 01.01.10
os 1.1.9.3
The device hangs there and I can't do anything: can't power off, etc... The only thing i can do is soft reset but that doesn't help...
Anyone has an idea? Sure enough the seller does not respond to my emails anymore...
Did you try doing a hard reset? press the com manager button (Top left on the side) and the voice command button (top right on the side) while having them pressed do a soft reset. Keep the two buttons pressed and the device should say something to the effect of "press send to restore to factory settings", hope that will fix your problem.
Might sound stupid, but my device freezes at boot-up somtimes as well.. ..However, when I tap the screen during bootup it doesn't!
In my case I think it's due to the amount of programs on my device
HEEEEYYYY come to think of it my device did that before I upgraded to xelecin's custom rom LOL I remember I had to stay looking at it to tap the screen as soon as it would turn off. Since it stopped doing it, I never really looked into why it was doing it.
I am having O2 XDA IIs mini and facing a problem that whenever i soft reset my phone it displays band of three colour Red Green and Blue on the screen and it do not boot.
when I press jointly communication button + recording button on the right side of the mobile and reset button holding other two it boots in a proper way
After booting the buttons on the mobile like up down send stop buttons stops working but when i press the messaging button and internet explorer button (Hardware Buttons) one by one the all the button starts working properly
please help me rectify the problem
I would suggest reflashing an official ROM back on there first and see if that fixes the problem. If you haven't ever falshed a new ROM on it you might also want to check and see if maybe theres some dirt or something keeping the camera button depressed. That would cause you to boot directly into the bootloader (the 3 colored screen), but since you get it to boot with the second method you try and it doesn't boot directly in to camera mode that probably isn't the cause.
It is stuck at the white HTC splash screen when you first start up the phone....after that its just a black screen, ive tried both hard and soft resets. I heard theres a way to flash it from the bootloader but i dont know how....So guys help me out....I really wanna fix this thing

Hi there;
To get into the bootloader mode, switch phone off and then hold the red/green answer buttons, and then power up the phone, hold this down until you get the 3 different colours on the screen.
*By the way, if anyone more experienced wishes to correct me, feel free*
*Damn Doublepost*
To enter the bootloader:
Hold down the camera button and reset device with the stylus. Keep holding the camera button until you see 'tricolor' bootloader screen.
An alternative way to enter bootloader:
Switch the device off by long pressing O/I (power) button. hold down the camera button while pressing the O/I button about 1 second. Keep holding the camera button until you see 'tricolor' bootloader screen.
Alternative(universal?) bootloader(3)
As almost all htc smartphones with onboard camera, when you push and hold the camera(photo) button, and plug in usb adapter. Even a "stupid" usb power adapter will work.
To hard reset:
Hold down send/reject buttons (green/red at the front) and reset with the stylus; release the stylus but keep holding the buttons till you get 'this will erase all your personal data' message, then press 'action' (big front button) to hard reset.
Good LUck

After the flash finished, the device rebooted, the Vodafone screen was on the display and then it was black...
Hardreset = no change
Flashing back to Onyx = no change
remove battery = no change
bootloader is reachable and flashing works but the problem with booting is still there

solved. i went to button asignment menu and but the backlight button to none.
Glad to hear that
okay so my screen has broken, it is not cracked and i do not know what is wrong with it. When i do turn the phone on the backlight turns on but remains black and the actual screen does not when i do manage to unlock the phone even thou i can not see what i am doing i can still touch the touch screen to press buttons as i can feel the vibrating of pressing buttons.
What i really want to know is does anyone know what is wrong with the phone and why its doing this?
Thanks
My phone just developed this exact problem. At first the screen was offsetting the graphics half way up the screen, and hard resetting fixed the problem briefly. Now the screen stays black, but responds to touch and the backlight works.
Did you ever find out the cause, or a solution?
I have a tmous hd2, running a stock winmo and darkstone's new superRAM build.
I just found that a hard reset (hold vol. up + vol down and hit the reset button) fixes my problem.
Thanks xda wiki!
Well, today my screen failed again, in the same manner. Now a hard reset does not fix the problem. I am beginning to think it is a hardware issue. If I fix the problem or find another thread that addresses the issue I will post it here.
