Charging/Stereo Cable? - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III Accessories

Just a quick question.
Is there a cable that allows you to charge the Kaiser/Tilt and also take the audio from the mini usb and have it go to a 1/8 in mini female? This would allow me to have my phone charge while being able to plug an audio cable to my car radio and listen to music while charging. Is something like this even possible?

I picked up one of these. It allows you to charge and use a regular 3.5mm headphone at the same time.
I considered this OEM version but went for the cheaper one linked above.

Thanks for this.
I just ordered one too. I've got the standard one -- but alas watching videos my device is dead in no time without charger input.

Brett,
Thank you. That is exactly what I was looking for.

Charging/Stereo Cable
Thanks just what I was looking for....I'm surprised that I didn't have to pay extra for the charger....from AT&T!
Question: Does any USB cable work with the Tilt?

Stop off at your local verizon store and pick up the OEM HTC headphone/usb adaptor cable for the Verizon XV6800. The adaptor is universal for the current generation HTC devices with 11 pin port. Its listed online, and should be available in most stores. Price is $19.99 +tax, which really isnt that bad for an OEM part. Even has the spiffy little HTC logo embossed on the handset end of the adaptor.
Heres the direct link, copy/paste it, youll get an error page, just click accessories and enter your zip code and click enter, then re-paste this in your address bar and hit enter, and the page will come up. No clue why it doesnt just open on the first try without a zip code since its online.

Also, yes, any A to mini-A usb cable will connect your device to your pc.

Sorry I didn't see this sooner, but I got this one
It does ship from Hong Kong, so it takes a few weeks, but it's totally worth it.

Lets you charge, have a set of USB headphones or the classic headphone jack all at once.
I recommend this to everyone. $17 + around $6 shipping = Well spent $25.

When I had the mogul with sprint:, it came with that plug. When I sold it on ebay, I kept it.. They sent the wrong plug. It was supposed to just be the 2 usb plugs.

Connect Universal directly to 80GB Mobile Hard Drive?

Is there any way to connect the Universal Directly to a mobile hard drive?.
to be more precise, to this one:
http://www.lacie.com/products/product.htm?pid=10669
Not Directly NO. The Universal does not have the USB Host hardware required to attach this kind of thing.

interesting...
but anyways there could be a kind of "piece of hardware" bewtween HD and Universal that makes the USB host function.. or maybe I am a bit lost..

Universal has WIFI so youd be better off just mapping a network drive or something rather than using bluetooth which is very slow.

That would be a PC Its certainly possible that somebody could make a card for the SDIO slot that would support USB Hosting but I am not aware of one.
Better wait for cheaper 4 gigabytes sd cards
Hi jimcl,
You have the same idea as me! I was thinking of hooking up my external 60GB HDD to my Exec using just a normal camera USB cable. As you have thought, it didn't work. Wouldn't it be great if things just works the way we wanna them to be?
I assume that if it works, the battery on your Exec will dry up very quickly as the HDD draws its power from it.
Anyway, if you find anything that allows you to do that, please post it out here and share it with everyone!
Cheers!
Regards,
Johnnie
Wifi would be much better, and is already available, but they are not designed for mobile use, mains supply required.
SDIO to USB is, I think is in the pipeline, but prehaps a better solution would be SDIO to Wired Ethernet, more likely to find this for PDA's with no Wifi, and USB/Ethernet hard drives are available now. Although ethernet drives still require mains supply but USB ones would suck power to quick from the host
I think we will see host controllers as standard in future PDAs.
I know the 5Gb is not particulary good on the Toshiba device, but I doubt it will be long before the capacity increases.
I must admit, SD/MMC cards are a better way to go and I think 8gb is in the pipeline now and prices will drop over time.
of course I'll share the solution... in case I find it!
I more or less agree with all your comments... but sometimes we just want to work with the things we have, ... I already have a mobile hard drive. That's all.
Apart from 4GB SD cards - and future 8GB - maybe we could find a solution in the WIFI way, but anyways 8GB SD card sounds great - maybe not its price..
If your looking for a solution for home or car try the asus WL-HDD wireless access point / hard drive
I picked one up off ebay for 50ukp with a 60 gig drive in it,
Also lets you copy stuff from other usb devices to the hard drive (without a pc) or share other usb devices over the wireless (with new firmware from asus).
http://reviews.cnet.com/Asus_WL_HDD_2_5/4505-3382_7-31080278-2.html?tag=nav
Power wise it needs 5v @ 2 amps
Being linux based there is also some hacked firmware that will let you use other usb devices or turn it into a webserver and other things..
http://wl500g.info/
currently selling in the uk without drive for around 36ukp (scan)
RE
Yes, you can connect the Universal to the hard disk directly WITHOUT going through a router/access point using Wi-Drive, here:-
http://www.edslab.com/products.htm
Spoken to the developer 2 days back and was told that it'll be ready this coming August. It'll be released with a 30GB hard disk as this will be more affordable to the public. If you need higher capacity hard disk you'll need to install it yourself.

so i ordered the proper one from there site also and i looked at the picture and i found my mini USB cable
and of course when i opened the ordered adapter i found that they sent me also the wrong one the second big one not the mini USB
and i searched the internet for other site to purchase the proper adapter i didn't find anything
so is there any thing i can do about this??
and can i do like this man said: (at the bottom of the page)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=406771&page=3
shorten the 4 & 5 pin in the Motorola adapter will this work for me ??!!!!
please help me and thank you in advance
guys good news
i sent an e-mail to the customer service and they replied as follows
Hello,
We do not make a specific adapter to fit the HTC Tytn, BUT:
I have read that the mini-usb connection (our TA108 adapter) works on the HTC phones even though it does not look like the right shape. I believe you may already have the TA108 mini-usb adapter. I cannot guarantee this or swear that I know it is safe, but have heard that it works fine. You can see this brief on ithttp://www.wmexperts.com/articles/psa_htcs_extusb_works_ with_reg.html)

Hi,
I don't use such accessories, but I don't quite understand how they dare selling something "compatible with the Tytn II" and then say "we do not deliver a specific adaptor and won't guarantee you it is safe" ? Sounds odd to me or not?
yes its true the said that its compatible then after purchasing they said we can't guarantee its safe
very weired thing and how can the technical support don't know something like that

Erm... the proper connector fr the TyTN II IS the mini USB, so it's normal you don't get/find another one. HTC chargers have mini USB connectors too. Only headsets/stuff with audio that need the additional pins use the special connector. But it is made to be USB-compatible.

[Q] Motorola Mini USB to HDMI ? will defy support this ??

I'm unable to post the outside link so pls search this on google
"motorola 1080P HDMI CABLE (15FT)"
Saw this on motorola shop
can defy support this?????
pls Reply ASAP
It's not possible to use the Mini-USB as TV-out on your Defy. So the answer is no.
aww...is there any possible mod for cm7 and miui so that tis could work on defy?

as said before... no!
it`s not mini-usb it is micro-USB and it`s not possible to use it as TV out. Anyone who want`s TV out should have proper output jack. Devices that support that kind of cable have micro-USB and micro-HDMI port`s so it`s not the same port!!!!
To see what I`m talking about just look at the second picture od Atrix:

There are 2 kind` od jacks, micro-USB for data transfer and charging, and micro-HDMI for video output.
you're wrong. tv output through the usb port is possible, just look at the galaxy s2. but the defy doesnt support it. its chipset would, but its hardware-disabled... -.-

so you mean if we "unlock" the bootloader, then we can write custom drivers for this to make it work? like in the sgs2 using an mhl adapter? or even using 3.5mm to output AV like some nokias do?
OH man, if yes, i would be on the top of this world.
tv out is the thing that most important to me on the phone... I've had an N8 before my Defy, and I had used the tv function alot!
i was searching alot on the Internet for a tv-out solution for the deft, but came out with nothing...
I'm only using Defy beacuse I got it for free...
Try the green cirkel ico "Media Share" if you can, can test it myzelf because y dont have the wifi stick for my led-tv ,y read thats the way whit this phoon it can do so. Y now what you mis on the Defy, same here on my Nokia C7, **** symbian but some nice gadgets like tv from the headpfoon plug, special when gaming, super big screen here on 47" tv en nice to via usb on tv use it like a hard disk.

Are you using stock firmware or custom one?
It doesn't work because you bought a micro B to usb A cable but you need a micro A (with 4 right angles) to usb A like this :
.
I know that because I bought the same type of cable than yours and it's not working .
@mavasilisk: stock firmware
@Starman: i am not sure it would fit. cable that was in package when i bought tablet was with this type of connector that i have now.
Yes and that is for connecting the device to a computer.
What you need is called an OTG cable and that looks exactly as starman said.
The Nokia ca-157 looks similar to the cable you bought but is has the right "end".
Well, today i have tested this nokia ca157cabel. Doesn't work.
Sent using Tapatalk 2
Then either your usbport is broken, or the device you want to connect tells that it needs more then 100mA.
When i connect my tablet with my computer, file transfering works i both way, computer recognize it normaly. Is there any other way to se if usb is broken???
Sent from my A70S using Tapatalk 2
No, then your stick needs more ( or at least tells the archos ) more then 100mA.
Did you try a powered Hub?

Powered hub is something that i was planing to do next. Usb stick is not so important because there are always sd-cards, but i want to buy one of those keyboard with leather case from e-bay and i am not sure if that will work.
Sent using Tapatalk 2
Try the hub, if that works, then it is the powerconsumption of the stick and the keyboard is working.
Or try UrukDroid, as this raises the output and is able to use most sticks.

ok, i have UrukDroid & i have nokia cable ca157 and it is still does not working.
problem is that every powered hub that i find is HUUUGE and have 5-10 usb ports, and i don't need that much.
EDIT
i did it. i made my own "usb powered hub". ok it is far from it but actualy it works.
in micro usb i connected pins 5 and 4
only thing diferent, is that i put external power on vcc. and.....it works.
nokia ca157 DOESN'T works so don't use it. waste of money

Tearing HU apart for Boards

So mediatek 8127 trash.. Not rootable. Wouldn't keep the screen on unless I had otg hooked up. I tried everything. Anyways... I bought orange pi h3 and billion things for it; ATmega328P Nano V3 Controller Board for 3.2" OBD cluster project and tft 7". I bought a driver thinking that's all it was, but I just i'll have two 7" screens now. I bought;
----AUDIO---
900W DC-DC Boost Converter 8-60V to 10-120V 15A Step Up
TPA3116 D2 120W+120W Dual-channel
ATMEGA16U2 Board For Arduino Mega 2560 R3
LM1036 Tone Board Preamp Board Volume Treble Bass Amplifier Z2S8
(Havent bought yet) TDA7498 BTL 100W+100W High-power Digital Amplifier Board AMP With Radiator
--OBD2 cluster lcd k line gauges--
FTDI Basic Breakout 5V/3.3V Adjustable- Micro USB
3.5" tft (even thought I can't touch it.....)
k type thermocouple
--display--
It will be displaying mainly 1280x600? The tft that came with my dismantled board. I bought another driver and it has a 800
--Other stuff--
GPS- No just the anntena
It has wifi already
I have a BT board if it doesn't.. No clue.
Fm transmitter I have too.
Sooo I really don't know anything about rasp pi og pi arduino, but I do know 100$ double dins are trash. I am able to pull the fm transmitter and bt board off but that's it. I took 3 old laptops apart just to find one 40 pin monitor adapter..... but a "driver board"...... idk!
I guess I would really appreciate a smack in the head followed by a "none of that even works together"..
Ohh.. and I got 4 P1675 Punch 6.75" 3-Way Full-Range 440W speakers.. I think that's what i'm most excited about. All I was ever able to do with this double din I dismantled was sit in my room running it from a trickle charger trying everything to wipe it and get something worthwhile. So two questions.... Is there a pin diagram out there somewhere? Are they standard? All I know is it has an HP laptop kernel. 400mb mali something ur' other.. Mtk8127a. The board says "YLD-ANDROID-CORE-PCBV00". mediatek mt6323LGA 1644-AGTH. 70 pins only around the edges. NO markings for what.... Ohhh and the cover over the board says YLD-CORE-AD1616_MOO.
Second question With voltage boosters and amplifiers what else audio wise do I need concerning the board/module aspect.. Best method of transferring music that's playing from orange pi to, two TPA3116 D2 120W+120W Dual-channel's and the possible bridgable mono TDA7498 amp for my sub.... run wires... But from where? Point of origin... I feel like i'm missing a driver/board for audio or something. I've been looking into all of this for months, so sorry for not having a better idea, it's just like a candy store of 2$ 5000gig 8 channel yada yada out there. It's endless.....
Orange pi can flow with raspberry pi b+ for sure and most below i'd imagine and arduino touch screens and sensors couldn't care less. Does that sound right?
Thanks for any advice. Hopes this isn't in the wrong area. It is all being made into a headunit....
Ehhhh after looking into orange pi... The specs are there, but the support is like zero.... Glad it's so cheap to change my mind. I want nougat or oreo/rooted/cmXX/aosp anything flippin rooted. and not Kit Kat..... Seriously............ MHL one of my rooted phones into the mini hdmi or something like that..... Idk, but I just found out my options are pretty much if not only that of Kali linux. Super cool most of the time, but I don't forsee me sniffing packets from the prius at the red light...
