help: remove htc home clock link - Touch Dual, MDA Touch Plus General

Hi,
does anyone know how to remove (or change) the link for the digitial clock when I click on it? I have big fingers and often hit it accidentally when I try to access the sms tab. Removing the link will help.
Thanks.

Me two. Can anyone help?
Agree. Me too. This is so boring. How could we block this clock when we touch it?
Please can anyone help?
Maybe the soft SSMAPa could fix this issue.

Yes it can, I changed the action to startup tomtom, but that is also annoying because you keep hitting it accidentaly...
SSMapA
yes, people, use ssmapa, you can change click link location to any other one.
Thank you.
Works like a charm...
No action when clicking on TF3D clock
Use SSMaPa app and link 'Time click' to PrgDoNothing.exe

Changing quick links

Hi Everyone
Just got my HD2 and was experimenting with the home screen - and added a quick link to test it (Excel).
Now I'm having trouble removing it.. Any ideas as to how this is done?
As wonderful as Excel is i don't want it, let alone two links to it (an attempt to remove the first icon) on the front of my gorgeous new phone..
Thanks

You can remove quicklinks from the menu (bottom right softkey)
Haha.. Thanks!
I searched through the forum and did it via the registry in the end, which didn't really work anyway because you can only change the link not delete it entirely.
So many things to learn over 6.1........

whyis it doing this

What programs have you installed? Did you do any tweaking? Did you flash a new ROM? If you could give more information about your phone and when the problem first occurred it would be easier for the experts on the forum to diagnose the situation.
Did you try doing a soft reset yet?
flashed to 1.48wwe and have duttys task manager and the official sim contacts upgrade but that was put on after the ROM upgrade. the additional icons are just plain blue & white with the names underneath, but even when i delete the additional shortcuts they re appear!
Get this from the cabs link in my signature...
Touch X Permanently Delete Reappearing HTC Icons.cab
Install that and then use file explorer (or similar app) and go to \Windows\Start Menu\Programs. You will see the shortcuts in there - just delete them and they won't come back.
Hope this helps
