Okay-- maybe I'm just imagining this-- but it seems like I've had it on a phone before--
Is there a plugin for the today screen that allows you type and send the message right from there? Not linking you to the phones messaging program-- but with an input box and everything right there on the today screen?
Like I said-- I think I've had this on a phone-- but I don't know anymore for sure-- or what it would have been-- I appreciate the help--
Thanks--
I think this is quite neat.
Maybe it starts up as a small bar on today screen that says "Messaging" just like the regular messaging today plugin, but expands when you tap it to show bigger input boxes... how come I haven't seen anything like this?

I installed and love phoneAlarm. The one problem I have with it is that you can't navigate to it's messages/missed calls/voicemail/emails icons with the d-pad. I like having it show me what I've missed, but I don't want to have to get out the stylus everytime i want to view one of the missed items. Is there a workaround for this or possibly a different app that will do what I want?
Also, is there a way to put phoneAlarm above the date on the today screen? If not, is there a different (1-line if possible) plugin that will show the date/time?
Thanks!

You could always use the left soft button. When you get a message or missed call it turns into the notification button. You could also send your request in to the guy who write phone alarm. the link to the beta forum is

So I like to chat on AIM with co-workers, friends usually MSN and make a few calls with Skype. I don't much like the AIM GUI as the scroll bar on the right is too small. I don't like using the live messenger either. So, I came across Fring and found it was pretty sweet.
BUT.
The box where you type your chats is at the bottom of the window. BELOW THE KEYBOARD. I can't even see what the other person typed unless I hide the keyboard. I find I'm continually hitting that keyboard button. Anyone else find a work around to this? I tried the settings to see if I could move it to the top but no luck.
during my one month hd2 usage i havent found any annoying issues with it, however there is one issue that i would like to have - when sms/reminder is arriving it would be great to have it on screen straight away like in other phones - is it possible somehow?
Ah yes, +1, that small icon at the top is not enough :S
settings - menu - all settings - sounds and notifications - notifications tab - scroll down events to 'message:new message' - tick display message on screen

..but still - the notification cames from wm itself not from built in manila notification
ahh I see what you mean, but I dont see the issue. The message also appears in teh message tab of manila, with an unread count, so whats the problem?

maybe i am old fashioned, but on my old iphone, se w910i each message that comes in popup as preview on the home screen - this is the problem
Give it a try, send yourself a message, then jump to the home page. Its not a problem at all, and doesn't look out of place against the manila skin.
*update* oh right, i just re-read what the OP wants and this is slightly different, this just shows the message, it doesn't access it (so you can't reply directly)
I have tried searching, and haven't had a whole lot of luck.
Had my TP2 for about a week, and have updated it to WM 6.5.
1. How do I disable the SMS Text sent notification? I have installed Advanced Config, and have also tried changing it in the registry, with no luck...any ideas?
2. When on the home screen, the bottom bar with Home/Messages/Mail/Music etc, how do I get the Messages or Mail to go straight to the inbox, and not show just the one text or one email on the initial page? Am I clear on explaining that?
3. When I click on Phone on the bottom left, is there a way to make searching for contacts easier/faster? When I pull up the Contacts, is there a way to already have the search bar there, instead of having to hit the Magnifying Glass every time?
4. How do I get my phone to use the on screen keyboard when I flip it landscape? When I turn it, the screen stays up and down, unless I open the keyboard, which is the only time I have gotten the phones screen to rotate with the phones position.
If anyone has any answers I would appreciate it!
Thanks
Matt
wrong forum dude. touch 2 is not touch pro 2.
maybe that's why i couldnt find anything!
thanks for the heads up!
Alright, hopefully someone can help. I have ran this question elsewhere, with no luck. I am running a WVGA HTC Imagio with WM6.5 and a NRG custom rom with sense 2.5. I just recently installed and then removed the newest HTC Messaging Client. Couldn't send or recieve MMS messages. Thats all fixed now, but, whenever I get a text or MMS message, the notification bubble shows in my top bar, but nowhere else, not even my unread notification on Sense. It does show up in the standard lock screen (HTC's) however.
No, it doesn't show up in Titanium either, just shows 'no new texts'.
It also doesn't show up when I use ThrottleLauncher, iPhoneToday, Infinity, Androkkid, or Home2.
So, it shows up in the lock screen and on the top bar, but no where else. Any ideas?
also, why is my tag or whatever showing that 'OP' thing?
Alright, got a little more information. I checked HKCU/System/State/Mesages/SMS/Unread and the 'count' register. When I send a test text, it doesn't change, it stays at 0. BUT when I change it manually to '1', then it registers in all my systems (TL, iPT, Sense 2.5, etc).
But when I remove the '1', its back to where no notifications other than in the top bar and lock screen are given. I do get the usual message notifications via sound and vibrate as well.
So, does anyone have any idea on why it works for the lock screen and top bar, but not in sense or any other UI?
Hi Jerry,
I hope someone can answer this as I have exactly the same problem.
The "OP" means "opening poster"!
Thanks, and no luck yet. I hope someone can figure this out, becouse I am stumped!
And don't know what "Opening Poster" means, but guess its good!
If you happen to get yours fixed, remember to swing by this way!
