Anyone want to buy my Kaiser? - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III Accessories

I have an unlocked unbranded HTC Kaiser I got back in October. It has Duttys V3 rom loaded right now. It has a small "dent" in the screen, it doesnt affect functionality and I have no idea how it got there. There is only one small scratch on the exterior case, on the side and hard to notice. Make me an offer, Im pretty easy and cheap

lol $200! for the dented screen kaiser! =P

8525 factory screen protector

when i bought the 8525, it came with a screen protector which was already on the screen. i did not want to take it off because it was really nice and it obviously protects it. My question is, if its on for a long time, will it come off? i know that the Treo 650 came with one also, and my friend is unable to take it off now, i don't want that to happen to my device...
Hmm thats weird did you buy a refurbished unit or something?
I only ask because to my knowledge they do not come with a screen protector.
hmm that is weird. i just got a brand new one last week and the screen protector was still wrapped up brand new...its really cheap so i left it in the box...probably want to make sure you didnt get an opened box or anything like that
well I bought it a week used 8525...but I just wanna make sure I can take it off after the screen protector after it wears out(scratches and such)...because my friends treo 650 screen protector wouldn't come off
I've had mine about a month now, and mine came with the protector as well. It works okay, but I have no idea about it coming off. However, I have a new phone on the way because the camera doesn't work. Wonder if it will have one as well.

well since u are getting a new one, take the protector off and let me know if the screen is alright...
I bought some of the palm screen protectors and they stay on just fine, it is a b*tch to put them on though, you have to be patient and try to slide them into place otherwise it seems to never align correctly, and don't worry about what size to buy you just need to cut them down to size anyway.
I almost bought the cheap ones online but I knew staples would take them back if they sucked and some dude on ebay wouldn't.
The pack cost me $15 for 13 pieces. Make sure you cut out a custom template in thicker stock paper (I just used the paper that came in the packaging from palm) so you don't have to ruin any of the protectors through trial and error.
I've used them on other things such as mp3 player, other phones and such before and have never had any problems taking them off.
Good luck!

get an invisible shield from http://www.shieldzone.com/, its not cheap vinyl, kinda rubbery feeling. LIFETIME GUARANTEED not to scratch. I've had them on all my phones for 2 years now and hasn't gotten scratched yet. you can watch this crazy video of one on a mac and someone grinding drywall screws on it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jrMVyp8tcQw

I second this post. I have shieldzone protectors on both my 8125 and my 8525. They are awesome and easy to apply or take off if you wish to, I have never had reason to remove since I put them on. They also make skins for the entire device, though I don't know how they will work. I just stuck with the screen protector. They have a cool video of an iPod with a full skin stuck in a box with a bunch of sharp objects and shook around for awhile with no damage.
I have never had an issue with them and have had one on my 8125 for over a year and on my 8525 for a few months.

Has anyone ever tried these screen protectors?

Ran a search but for some reason it doesn't seem anyone has ever tried these...

screen protector
you dont have a screen protector on your phone?? it shouldve came with your phone unless you got it else where. better get these
well i screwed up the one that came wit it by trying to get it perfectly on the screen, so after ripping it out over and over again i kept gettin dust on it, so i threw it away and for now i put that original one back that has the pictures on it and shows you how to tilt ur phone? u know the one that comes on it when its brand new wit "warnings" and stuff...
either way...i am about to purchase either the "Expert Shield" or the pocket solution ones and i am tryin to get some feedback on the pocket solution ones first before purchasing. as for now, i have my phone on "baby mode" and am leaving it at home
geez...no one?
Expert Shield all the way. Don't even second guess it.
Expert Shield rocks. I have used them for my Tilt and a couple of cameras. You just have be careful putting them on. It is really easy to get dust under it if your not careful. Look on eBay and you can find them for really cheap shipped from either Hong Kong or Canada. Usually around $10 - $12 shipped. They are more expensive here.

+5 to that. i'm using them now on my tilt.
they're thick, yet flexible, have yet to show any wear from the stylus, & they haven't appeared to affect the touch sensitivity either.
It's been said by someone here that the Expert Shield protectors are just as good as the Martin Fields. He ruined one of his Martin Fields and I told him to try out ES and he said it was great.
They're a lot cheaper also.
ScreenPatronus
I recommend Screen Patronus

+5 to that. I've used InvisibleSHIELD but removed it and used ScreenPatronus instead.
PSP Screen protector
I'm using a Hiro PSP Screen protector (cut into size) covers 99.9% of the screen almost same thickness as with martin fields, but at a fraction of the price
It also doesn't affect screen sensitivity.

I second this, i got my a couple days ago. I love it, its more of a hard plastic type protector, alot better than those expensive sticky films you can buy.

I bought an Expert Shield and am VERY happpy with it. You're dead on about the dust thing and I'll add fingerprints to that list.
I did discover is that you can remove it and wash the sticky side off with warm water and a clean finger. Then pat dry lightly with lint free cloth for eye glasses. It will it go right back on just like new!!!! I did this three times in a row for fingerprints and dust that was bugging me.
Great product!!!
i would strongly recommend http://www.zagg.com/ Invisible sheild

I'm using them, and they are ok for the money. There are better ones out there like the others are stating. But for 5 bucks, not a bad buy at all.
Also try Boxwave's ClearTouch, It's a bit pricey but man... after 2 month with this thing stick on my screen, it didn't even get a single scratch on it, hard as a rock! Also perfect fit. It's also washable and after wash it with soap and put it back on to your screen it looks like brand new... Well worth the money.
Link here.
Someone here linked them before I bought them and they are garbage. They are a pain in the ass to put on the first one I put on didnt cover enough of the screen and anything off of your fingers stays on there and its very hard to clean you have to use water. Mircofiber cloth wasnt good enough. Within two weeks it bubbled up and I had to trash the 1st one. The 2nd one that came in the pack was too big and it was also did not fit well. Oh yea
I dont recommend them.
Lifetime Shield
Invisible Shield. Thats the one.
Lifetime shield
The invisible shield does have a different feel to it, but its nothing thats a show stopper. The company is good for its work, they have already replaced one due to the lack of a camera opening for my tytn 2.

Zagg Invisibleshield and Telstra HD2

Does anyone know if the Invisibleshield that Zagg sells for the HD2 fits the Telstra model? I know with the Touch Pro 2, they had different shields for different versions of the phone based on carrier.

PS, i have the invisibleSHIELD and love it Glad i went for full body and not just front.
Hi!
Does InvisibleShield works well with your HD2? You get the same sensitivity from the screen?
im very happy with mine. Fits lovely and gives the phone a soft non slip feel on your fingers, but at the same time the screen isn't sticky. Finger slides well (i use swype) and it isnt peeling anywhere at the edges, despite being a front pocket phone with no other case. Feels solid after 5 or 6 weeks, and not a mark on it.
Sensitivity seems not to be affected, i still put the BSB tweak on whenever i flash, and its fine.
If you get one, dont be shy with the fluid when u are mounting, get the sticky side good and moist and it lets you move it around loads, but as soon as it sticks, its held tight. I did my first panel not wet enough and it was a bit awkward, but the rest were real easy to mount.
Everyone comments on the feel in your hand.
as said above, i'm glad i got the whole body kit not just the screen.
(Sound like i sell em dont i, lol)

Screen Protector Recommendations?

My T-Mobile HD2 is in the mail - expect to get it Thursday. Sold my Fuze on ebay immediately after visiting the T-Mobile store. Have used Clarivues, Boxwaves but anyone have any experience with either on this phone - especially cutout and fit for the entire glass surface? Also anyone get either a Bodyguardz or InvisibleShield?
Zagg InvisibleShield is good.

I bought the crystal Boxwave screen protector and I like it. Even though on the website it says the screen is for the TMO version of the HD2, I have a feeling they're just shipping out the original HD2 screen protector; the screen protector is off by 1-2mm at the top. I don't mind though, the gap is negligible.
I have the full body invisishield on my HD2 and I use the stock rubber case that comes with the phone, and I really like it.
Things I've noticed:
The glass is a lot easier to clean as compared to the plastic cover.
The glass is easier (not lots, but noticeable) to slide your finger across.
There is a little more glare (once again, not a lot)
The awesome metal feel is gone (it would be gone if you had any cover, so really not an issue)
BUT! I had my iPhone 3G covered since day one and it is almost scratch free. You wouldn't know that it is almost 2 years old and lived in a pocket, so yeah. If you want to preserve your device and sell it in a couple of years as nearly perfect condition, I'd go for the full invisishield. If you want to have an awesome device that you'll probably just give to a little brother in a year, don't get the cover.
my 2 cents
p.s. just to make sure, I'm happy with my invisishield!
Im really happy with the INVISIBLEshield. had it on since 2nd week jan and really chuffed. Feels nice, seems to help with the screen sensitivity, but not enough to slow it down, and even though i dont use any case (full body zagg kit) there isn't even a faint scratch on it anywhere.
One corner has peeled away less than 1 millimeter where it slides into my pocket, BUT i mounted that corner badly anyway. (First panel applied)
Everywhere else its so snug it could be directly applied.
I have the screen sleeve provided by T-Mobile retailers... and the Body Glove transparent hard case w/ the kick stand on it.
But really, any screen protector will work out if put on correctly.
Thanks for the replies.
I contacted Martin Fields this afternoon and they were the most responsive. Actually measured their screen protectors and it is 1.5 or 2 mm too short for the Tmobile version - Based on measurements I took with micrometer they'll modify their specs and issue a full screen protector for the TMobile. Have used Clarivues (a little thick) and Boxwaves which I prefer - will see if they respond.
Honestly, in my experience the tmobile screen protectors sold at the stores have been awesome.
I have ghost armor (same if not better than invisible shield) on my blackberry, and they are good but still finger prints galore.
The tmobile ones sold in store are anti-smear. I clean my screen like after the whole day. It makes it a little bit fuzzy, and i mean a little like after you don't see your fingerprints after one use you'll love it and not even care.

I bought the InvisibleShield last night. Chose the cheap shipping, so I don't expect it in for a week or so.
In the meantime, I intend to try out the Saran Wrap® option that so many iPhone users have sworn by
I just ordered my full body protector from bestskinsever.com for $8 shipped. I have used it on my iphone, use it on my ipod touch, and laptop and I love it!

I second that notion.
T-Mobile retail stores are always known for providing reliable products... at least from my location. My manager prides himself on that, so we do what we can to always have quality as opposed to quantity, especially when it comes to device accessories.
I put a skinomi skin on and love it, no bubbles, streaks, blemishes... lifetime guarantee as well. Fits perfect on my T-Mobile HD2
I bought the one from a Tmo store, I think it's the HTC branded one. It's real nice, although my screen protector does have scratches on it already from being in my pocket, but I'd rather have that than scratches on my actual screen.

Any reviews on Best Skin Ever for TMO HD2 ?

I'd like to know if somebody uses/used Best Skin Ever on US T-Mobile HD2 ?
Any reviews ? Pros and Cons ?
Anybody used BSE (full body) on different devices ?
Particularly interested in long term peeling off problem. Like after 1-2-3 months corners start peeling off and device looks ugly after that.
I'm thinking about buying one. Had bad experience with HTC HD + InvisibleShield mainly because of peeling off problem.
Personally for me I just went with a gel skin and thats it. The screen is scratch resistant so there is no real need for a screen protector. My friend used an invisisheild and had screen response issues.
I had origionally gone with BSE for my G1 because of the price...needless to say, it started peeling up after only about a week and the "orange peel" effect was horrible. (Thats what I get for trying to save a buck)
I have since switched all of my devices to phantomskinz...you get 2 complete kits and free shipping. I have never had any issues whatsoever with them.
Even my 1st gen iPhone purchased on launch day still has the first skin that I put on with no signs of letting go.
...if you look around on coupon sites like www.retailmenot.com, you can often find some deals to get an extra couple bucks off as well.
And yes...I do have a phantomskinz full protection kit on my TmoUS HD2...the screen prtector works great against smudges and does not affect the touch sensitivity or the "swipability" of the screen.

It is listed under the Tmobile section and fits perfectly...It was not added to their catalog until about a week after the launch of the phone, so I am quite certain that it was made specifically for our device.
All of the flaps, folds, and holes line up exactly.

lol...we have a zagg kiosk in one of our local malls...I stopped there for the heck of it while my wife was in a shoe store and some guy who was paying to have his HD2 wrapped felt mine and said it felt much better than his. He was asking the guy behind the counter if he had to pay if he was not satisfied. The girl that was working there asked me to step away if I did not need their services.
I use clear coat on my HD2. It covers most of the device, and I have had no problems with it. Just have to make sure to install it properly.
Who makes the best skin???
Who makes the best skin?
Skinomi?
ZAGG?
BodyGuardz?
PhantomSkinz?
I use "Clear Protector" and have for 5-6 years without any issues...Tj

My 2 cents
I've used the anti-glare screen protectors from boxwave and never had a problem. I have not used any of the full body protectors... I like the silicon gel covers and install a screen protector because I tend to bang my HD2 into things when I have it in my hand and I also carry it in my pocket. I like the exta cushion of protection that gel cases provide. The HD2 is just too d**n big...
I have BSE on my 2 year old's ipod touch and has been on there since I bought it a year ago and it hasn't peeled or scratched. It looks perfect and feels perfect. I also have it on my HD2 and same feeling about it. I like a lot. I put it in and out of my jean pockets or purse without a case and no peeling. It has been on there since I got the phone on March 24th.
