Windows Live Messenger on WM6

Hi to all!
I want to know if there is a way to use the Pocket MSN on WM6. It's really annoying for me [and for other members I'm sure] to sync my phone contacts and WLiveMessenger!!!

1- uninstall WLM
2- download WMXL_Optional_Applications - link at wiki: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=XDA_Live_Extras
3- install Pocket MSN

Just for the record, when you are installing Windows Live, you can tell it not to sync your contacts.

I found sync easy. delete all from msn. add to your existing contacts 2nd email and I M address. then in ur pda contacts list use the right menu and say add to contacts. then the whole lot syncs and links from pc outlook to pda contacts to msn/hotmail account and state add to messenger. soooo easy.

I've installed Windows Live but when I choose not to Sync the contact I can not login. Please help.

Activesync 4.5 problem !!!

I dont want to make snycronize my mobile when I contact my ppc to my pc, what shoul I do ? Bcs everytime after sync. I couldnt see my msn contacts when I am online from ppc.I can be online from messanger but I see all contacts offline even they are online! I can fix it when I switch with the other account but when I contact my pps to my pc, it happens again !!! Also I am using my business contacts at my pc outlook and I dont want all these contact to my ppc, so pls help me, how can I cancel sync. when I connected my ppc to my coputer ??? thanks !!!

problem with the contacts

I have outlook 2007 and vista and htc touch diamond i cant get my contacts on outlook when i connect the phone with usb, and i dont know how can import them from the phone to outlook.
can anyone help pls???

When you first plug in the phone it brings up the Windows Mobile Centre on your PC, and asks if you want to set up the phone or just leave it as a 'guest' partnership. If you selected the latter you will not be able to sync without changing the settings of the sync option.
This can easily be done in either the Mobile Device Centre on the PC or on Activesync on your phone, but you need to say you wish to sync the phone, and then also say you wish to sync the contacts.

Auto new contacts into the adress book :confused:

Hi,
I've installed Jeyo Mobile on my computer in order to manage my SMS.
I've seen there that the tools has also others possibilities : adress book, call missed,...
That's how I've found the "problems". I find new contacts in my address book that I don't have added.
In fact, I have new contacts with only the adress mail, no name and sometimes the call numbers...
When I try to analyse where it comes from, I think that it's th synchronisation between the HTC and Hotmail.
Has someone experienced the same thing?
Do you know if it it is possible to disable this option? And how ?!?

Yes, when u log in on msn u have a option that says - ADD MY CONTACTS TO THE PHONEBOOK - u must have ticked it. Solution is - go to windows live and disable ur account and log as a new account - when it ask u if u want to add them to ur phone book just UNtick that option.
If u've also syncronized from outlook then they'd also be added.
Note that if u delete windows live contacts from the phonebook u'll be deleting them from windows live itself! Do this and when u log msn u'll have 0 contacts - happened to me - live and learn hope i was of any help

Is it possible to use BB Connect for email, ActiveSync for Contacts

I use BB Connect to get email from company server and for calendar. I do not want to use BB Connect for managing my Contacts (not sure even if I can use it). So I would like to use activesync or similar solution to synchronize contacts with my PC and use for changes. However, once I connect phone to PC it wants to synchronize mail as well. Once I unselect Mail on synchr. options it says it will need to delete all email on my phone.... So I do not proceed further and as a result can not synchronise contacts...
Is there any solution to get my contact on the phone?
