I don`t know it this counts but I`m using WM6 5.2.1938 (Build 18538.0.7.0.PV.HAT)Touch & Office 6.1 NetCF 3.5 ROM
and Radio ROM 1.15.00.
I found on the net bluesoleil bluetooth stack - so I decided to change it from original one witch comes with ROM (I`ve heard that this stack is better than MS stack). I installed cab as normal program. After soft reset I lost any bluetooth settings. So I remove this stack using Remove Programs (not without problems - some files stayed) - but it didn`t help - for example I didn`t have Bluetooth settings in HTC Comm Manager - "The file 'NULL' cannot be opened.".
So I found on this forum Broadcom stack build 3900.
I have done the 3900 upgrade (using this time restartradio - according to wiki) and after this the BT fails to start due to insufficient driver memory available (there is 60mb of available program memory). I`ve no access to Advanced tab and BlueTooth Manager. Soft reset the device as instructed - same thing.
Bluetooth in Settings always shows "Bluetooth is OFF".
In Remove Programs there is no Broadcom stack, Bluesoleil was.
So, my request is - What should I do to restore standart settings comes with ROM? How to remove broadcom stack? Any ideas?
Best regards,
Watcher01
One and very easy: do a PROPER hard reset and you have everything back working and then restore your backup from before the installation of BT stack.
BTW: where did you find BlueSoleil stack for PPC? Never heard of BlueSoleil writing stacks for Windows Mobile.
Find the Helmi MS_enable cab and install it; you'll get the ms stack back.
@jakubd: The bluesoleil stack for mobile isnt working on BA; will install, but you get the Null error.

Hard reset is not an option - I`ve installed to many programs to do it again -
so I`m looking for easy way to restore default stack without hardresetting

I can`t find this cab. I`m looking for it on this forum and in google - nothing found till now. Also I want to remove Broadcom cause it`s using about 3 MB precious main storage, but I don`t know which files and where do I have to remove (there is no information in Remove Programs)

Thanks for the direction. I was wondering, is there a chance to uninstall the same if it does not appeal?
not sure when i wanted to remove it i did a hardreset
and restored an activesync backup that i had taken before i
put on the new bluetooth stack
OK i have install Pocket Bluetooth Tools Version 1.1.0.0 on my SPV M500, but when i pair a device, the menu just flashes up and then disapears and nothing. If i go in to activeSync i also do not have the option like the website shows
Help is needed or do i need to use another version
Thanks
Brian
You will need to unstall the latest version and install the following version:
BTHTools1012.exe
This one works for me!

The latest version gives a lot of stability problems on my MDA Compact. After 2 of 3 on/off-switches of bluetooth I have to reset my MDA. After installing the previous version I have no problem anymore.
By the way: there is a way to use the latest version of Pocket Bluetooth: when you pair your device and get the "flashing" screen from Pocket Bluetooth, go to the Today screen before you finish the pairing!
There you will find the Pocket Bluetooth screen. Select the COM-port and finish. Then go back to the bluetooth manager en finish the pairing.
I hope you understand my explanation. It worked for me.
But as said before: the latest version is not stabile, choose the previous.
thanks for your help, will try that

why should one use Pockte BT tools with Magician?
Thought the BT Stack is good enough these days (well: final Himalaya versions were good enough also)

I'm using it because I had problems getting active sync to work.
With BT Tools it works after 10 sec
You can use any task manager like MortButtons to switch to the BTTools before finishing the pairing.
thanks

thank you - this has worked for me after hours of research!!
Is it possible to uninstall it without hard-resetting the device ? Because i can't use my GPRS connection while it is installed. I'd also want to give a try to toshiba or widcomm drivers if they could work on MDA Compact.
BTW, is there any BT scanner proggy with logging funcionality ? (it should scan every ~ 30 secs for devices in range and make log of their MAC, type, name etc)
Thanks
bluesoleil nicely uninstalls with standard "settings\system\remove programs".
and about gprs... it should work as usually if you manually remove network card (btnic) that bluesoleil installs (delete some registry keys).
strange, but for me gprs works excelent even with this btnic.
Any ideas on the Toshiba stack? I installed it, but now not even my normal BT works after a hard reset
unistall
I think that you mean the unistall error, which occurs when you try to unistall the stack, i did that yesterday and all you need to do, is rename the BTMUSB.dll to something else, than uninstall and rename it to its original name, that should do the trick
uninstalling bluesoleil
Please help me removing bluesoleil in my add/remove prog folder...
am so clueless about this. thanks.
Bluesoleil drivers for HTC Magician and "Bluetooth Switch" utility.
You can install BlueSoleil drivers to use PAN-profile, FTP-profile and ActiveSync via bluetooth on you QTEK S100, S110, I-mate JAM and so on...
PAN-profile allows:
1) share folders from WindowsXP PC to PDA, and you can browse them using Resco Explorer.
2) stream audio and video (for example from Webcamera or TV-Tuner) from Windows XP PC to PDA (Using TCPMP on PDA and Windows Media Encoder on Windows XP)
3) use Remote Desktop to see WindowsXP screen on PDA screen and control you PC .
4) play multiplayer games (Snails, for example )
5) skype
6) and more...
See details and installation instructions in readme.txt (from attached zip-archive).
Requirements: HTC Magician with ROM Version 12 or 13.
After Install, use "Bluetooth Switch" utility (Start->Programs->Bluetooth Switch) to switch between Microsoft drivers and Bluesoleil Drivers.
You can install drivers BCHS_FOR_POCKET_PC_OZONE.ARMV4.CAB and switch between these drivers and Bluesoleil Drivers (using "Bluetooth Switch" utility)!
Whats new in release:
1) more simple install/uninstall process.
2) now you can choose installation directory (in main memory)
3) "Bluetooth Switch" utility has improved (in many cases soft reset not required).
4) No evaluation period!
WARNING!
Before install new release, you must uninstall previous release (see my post in this thread, how to do it)
Sorry bat I've no understand if I must install BCHS_FOR_POCKET_PC_OZONE.ARMV4.CAB before install bluesoleil or it's not necessary... In the first option where I can found this file? Thanks in advance..

There's some bugs ? There's some incompability (with gprs for example??) ?

Yes. When we switch stack to Microsoft, switcher move shortcut from Startup folder to Windows folder and vice versa.
& also bug , when i`ve used pan, then i can`t use gprs, so it needs add registry fixing gprs in this case, i think.

This is Bluesoleil drivers bug and cannot be fixed simply.
I just repack original CAB file and write switch utility.
You can add registry fixing gprs, but in this case you cannot Map Drives from WindowsXP PC using Resco Exolorer.
I have tried it be4 u updated the shortcut... and I had to hard-reset my JAM..
I'll give it another try tomorrow.
any way, my questions is... after the installation.. will I be able to send files from the file explorer.. not from the program it self??
I believe Resco FE is not meant to work with this stack, or Am I wrong?
thanks for your effort
I have read the whole thread about the Bluesoil BT stack. Some say it works, its better and others disagree. So what's really the story about this stack?

Bluesoleil drivers support PAN-profile, but not support A2DP profile.
You can use both drivers using Bluetooth Switch utility.

Ah yesh! The PAN (Personal Area network). What does this do exactly? What are the benefits.
After I read http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Blueangel_WM6_WizzardUpgrade4
It says The WM6 does not work on PH20A2 (Harrier) (Audiovox PPC-6600 / PPC-6601 / XV6600)/ CDMA device! <-- that is my mistake
My mistake steps:
1. upgrade 2003 2nd edition to WM6 (I see 4 color strip with "NO GSM" at the bottom, stuck in there. The PPC will stop if I remove the battery for a few seconds and put battery back)
2. use mytt <-- may not hurt (I see 4 color strip with "NO GSM" at the bottom, stuck in there. The PPC will stop if I remove the battery for a few seconds and put battery back)
3. Do hard reset, format the PPC (stuck in white screen, then do soft reset. The PPC will ""NOT"" stop if I remove the battery for a few seconds and put battery back)
reflash
Have you tried re-flashing with the original ROM?

What do you mean reflash?
Does it mean that Reinstall the WM6, or install other OS like WM5?
However,Without activesync how can I do that?
OR reflash mean formart?
I try to fomart my ppc, but stuck in the white screen
You got to revert back to WM 2003 SE with your original OS.

I tried to upgrade my win2003 2nd edition in ppc 6600 to WM6, but it seems that WM6 won't work with ppc 6600. Then,
1. I download the WM5 rom from http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Helmi
2. Try to reflash the PPC
3. I see that the PPC response
4. Try to do the reset after finished upload rom
5. Four color strip screen & "NO gps" and "5.02... WWE"
6. Try to restart again, and wait, result is the same
7. Try to go to bootloader mode, use mtty, do "set 14 0", "task 28", "task 0", PPC still keep the same. I have tried all reset, hard reset, etc
8. *** Try to reflash the PPC again, I find out that there is no current ROM when the ROM upload program try to read my current PPC condition.
Btw, I post the question to the FAQ too

You did very stupid thing, you have flashed GSM based rom to a CDMA device, the only thing you can do is to use WM2003SE, flash your device with its original or any CDMA (Harrier) based WM2003SE rom
Quick Howto:
Put your device in bootloader mode, put it on the cradle, start the upgrade including radio (the same version can be flashed on top of the previous one), this will fix your device, if it does not then after successful WM2003SE upgrade do the MTTY "set 14 0", "task 28", "task 0".
Keep me posted if you have problem
P.S.
WM5 and WM6 does not work on Harrier (CDMA Blueangel) device, i hope my instructions to help you to have at least usable device

So far, I can use the phone without any problem. Previously, I tried to upgrade my phone because I want to use bluetooth headset to listen music. That can only be done in WM5 or later. Now I reinstall my CDMA version of WM2003. I find out that the bluetooth does not work due to expire of lincese key. Does anyone have any suggestion how I can over come it? I just want my phone back to exact a few day ago. Thanks
thanks
