I've faced a problem with connectivity icon animation.. I've changed original M650 Orange WM5 PLK ROM to artemis touchflo WM6 (ENG)..... and it was working fine but I prefered to have an WM6 in polish language. I've found polish T-Mobile (era) WM6 ROM and it was correctly uploaded to my M650. I found a bug in this ROM (maybe it is only my problem) that connectivity icon is not changing to disconnected g.e: when GPRS/Egde was used small arrows were animated and than I have disconnected from GPRS manually but animation of arrows was still in progress. The same for ActiveSync icon - when pda was disconnected from PC, AS icon remains on PDA screen. I've tried to change some registry of icon animation and EDGE/GPRS but it doesn't work. I've uploaded ROM once again but bug is still there. Do you have an idea how to change that?

Hi,
Just got my Magician (Orange SPV M500) and unlocked it so I can use my Vodafone sim (using the software from this site). My problem is that if I leave my phone on for a while, for no apperent reason the Bluetooth turns itself off (disconnects - the Bluetooth icon in the bottom right of the screen is crossed out). I try and re-connect by clicking the Bluetooth icon, but there is no response. I've tried going into Settings>Connections>Bluetooth but there is no response when I click on that icon either. To rectify I have to do a soft reset. Anyone had similar problems before and known how to fix? Hard resetting doesn't solve the problem
Cheers
Try a bluetooth patch. There is one available for instance on the Extended Rom backup of QtekS100_WWE_11.11.129. Just try it.
I'm a bit of a novice at all of this. Can you explain how to do this? Is it safe or could I permanently **** up my phone?
It is just a patch wich originally shipped with the official roms. You can download extended rom copies on the ftp of xda-developers in the magician folder. Take the QtekS100_WWE_1.11.129 and in the zipped folder will be a BT patch.
Hi there...
Does anybody here knows why in a new version of HTC devices, the GPRS icon comes out upleft of the provider icon and in the I-mate K-jam doesn´t? How do you guys knows you are connected in a real data transmission? I´ve seen from a friend of mine that even getting an icon right beside the provider signal it still get another one for Wifi connection or something!
My K-jam just have only the default icon for connection not the upleft one like HTC devices!
Any idea folks?
Thanks in advance!
Eduardo
Allegedly, Orange have officially launched HSDPA, and branded it Orange 3G+.

According to the fieldtest application, this does seem to be the case, although I've never actually managed download rates greater than around 300kb per second, the same as 'normal' 3G.
Has anybody managed to get correct HSDPA download rates on Orange, and if so, do we need some kind of SIM update or account setting changed?
Andy.
Hi Andy,
Funny you should mention this...Yesterday, I upgraded my M3100 with the wm6 lsvn version which as the radio 1.34.0010 and spl 1.10.oli version included. That night, after putting in my orange 3G settings that were in place before, I was shocked to see the 'H' symbol appear on the top!! I browsed around using the full opera web browser and some internet explorer ones, while connected to Windows Live! and everything appears much slicker. I am also from London, but also the H symbol never appeared on the original Orange software that was on the phone...
I guess Orange may have some restriction in place on their devices to prevent them using HSDPA yet *shrugs* But i'm convinced it was working for me with the custom 'cooked' WM6 rom! Is there any tool I could use to test this?
I'm innterested in an Orange cooked WM6 from for my M3100 - where can I get it?

I've since managed to find some active HSDPA in London, with my standard M3100, no new ROM's etc. Wasn't fantastic, but managed a download at about 450kbps so seems to be working.
I think that WM5 and/or the Radio ROM installed as standard with it doesn't show the 'H' icon, even though in theory it *is* HSPDA enabled.
This thread explains how to tell if definitely on HSDPA:

The fieldtest application is explained in the wiki I believe.

hi,
Orange FR provider,
Why I never could have any notification from provider when I get a recorded message ? the little icon (magnetic band) never appears, I have to use notification by sms, and this is boring me.
Every notification (flash led, audio and txt) are "ON" in windows parameters.
got this problem with either french original HTC rom (WM6.0) or actual Dr-Jo french cooked rom (WM6.1).
my radio rom is stock, 1.58.21.23, have good reception strength signal, even if with 4 bars in HSDPA mode, dslspeedtest report only 340 Kb/s.
do you think upgrading new rom radio would be benefit for this case ?
wich one would you advise ?
thx for your help.
