Hi there...
Does anybody here knows why in a new version of HTC devices, the GPRS icon comes out upleft of the provider icon and in the I-mate K-jam doesn´t? How do you guys knows you are connected in a real data transmission? I´ve seen from a friend of mine that even getting an icon right beside the provider signal it still get another one for Wifi connection or something!
My K-jam just have only the default icon for connection not the upleft one like HTC devices!
Any idea folks?
Thanks in advance!
Eduardo
Guys,
I had the t-mobile rom when I first got the Vario 2 and in the roaming box (to the left of the reception bars in the task bar) it use to display 3G.
But I've since upgraded to the latest Qtek Rom: 1.35.255.2 11/14/06 and now it always displays just the letter U.
I'm using a t-mobile sim card by the way. Not that I use the internet or even the wifi for that matter but would just be nice to know what is what.
Thanks in advance for any help you lot can provide.
PS: pof, I'll try doing it directly from the main site tomorrow

Hi,
I have a problem with my Tytn. When I press the WIFI Icon on the Comm Manager appears the Windows ball but the Icon is ticked, and I'm not able to switch on the WIFI module.
Has anyone had the same problem? Really is very annoying because this unit has less than month.
Things that i did without success were: Hard reset, Install WM 6.
I really don't know if can be a registry problem. I noticed that problem after install Hubdog software.
Thanks if somebody can help me.
Next step will be send the unit to the Service Technical Assistance.

If you have the Touch or Kaiser Comm Manager please use a registry editor for the TyTN and check the following key:
\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\CommManager\WLAN\DeviceName
mine is:
{98C5250D-C29A-4985-AE5F-AFE5367E5006}\TIACXWLN1
turning WLAN on/off in the Comm Manager is working for me.
Thanks for your comments.
Finally, I was not able to revieve the Wifi module and I sent my unit to the Technical Service.
I will upgrade with news if I hear something new and unknow.
Regards

I have the same problem with the Wlan... I can't activate it...
As you ask, I check this Key, and I have the same ...
If someone has a solution...Thank you !
I upgraded my Jasjam with the original HTC Asia ROM (Doopod).
I too cannot switch on my WiFi anymore. Before the upgrade this was working perfectly.

Fellas, read the links I posted above.....there is a method there to determine which problem you have and some research on a possible solution...
Hi Folks,
I pretty much a noobie with my O2 xda orbit but managed to upgrade it to wm6 with the official O2 ROM. It seems a little faster since the upgrade, but I have noticed a small issue.
When I am connected to WiFi, if I want to disconnect I have to use the comm manager. Before the upgrade I used to use the "turn off wifi" option I get when I click G up on the start bar. Since the upgrade I do not get "the turn off wifi" option, just the "turn on option".
Seems strange to me, has anyone else noticed this? If so has it been flagged to O2? Please let me know.
Many Thanks
Levi
I posted the same issue, seems to be a flaw in WM6.
It does not work in any version of WM6 so has been removed.
thanks for the info, i got a reply from o2 and they confirmits a wm6 issue and maybe resolved in the next upgrade. no date though
Hi guys!
I am writing this post hoping that someone can help me. Here it goes:
I bought a Cingular 8125 from someone in ROMANIA ( i also live down there ), at that moment wi-fi was working fine as in............ it was searching for wireless networks and showing them in Network Cards. The same day i flashed to wm6 ( downgrade, unlock upgrade etc. ) when i started wi-fi in wm6 and ............. nothing, no wireles networks in range, the wi-fi icon in the top of today screen did not show any attempt to connect or communicate for that matter. I downgraded to wm5 again (after trying different wm6 roms - none worked for wi-fi) and still nothing. I came to belive that there are some kind of settings in connection that y must take care of for my cingular to pick up nearby wi-fi hot spots. I am eagerly awaiting an answer from anyeone who has any idea about this.
Thank's in advance guys!!!
