so i've been having a problem recently where sometimes when i try ending a call no matter how many times i hit the end key, it won't hang up.
i thought this was just something wrong with the rom so i flashed it to the original rom and tried out blackdiamond touch.
then i started missing phonecalls and texts, so i flashed the original rom, flashed the radio rom and upgraded it to TNT professional.
i'm STILL having the problem of missing calls/texts, inability to hang up, and just a general difficult time whenever using the phone (calls dropping, losing service out of nowhere and cant get service until i restart, etc).
does anybody have any ideas? because outside of flashing the rom as well as the radio rom, i'm clueless. much thanks!

Hello all, I bought a Titan off eBay to replace my trusty Apache (I'm with Verizon), and have flashed some self-cooked ROMs to it. I'm not too familiar with the ins and outs of flashing, but I've followed a few tutorials and it seems pretty straightforward with PPCKitchen. But the problem is, neither the ringer or camera work in any of the roms I've tried! I've even used several already-made ROMs.
I know both worked when I got the phone, so it must be something that I ****ed up. When I do a test call to my phone, I don't hear any ring (tried setting it to vibrate, doesn't vibrate either) but it does vibrate afterward letting me know I have a missed call. When I load up the camera application, all I get is a black screen instead of live camera feed. When I try to take a photo, I get the error "Unable to capture photo. Unable to get frame data from camera device."
Have I bricked my phone functions somehow or can this be fixed? Big thanks to anyone who can help a confused guy out
Ok well after a long ordeal and needing to get a new MicroSD card (Kingston cards dont work for flashing for whatever reason) getting the latest radio fixed everything.
Also I may have posted in the wrong sub-board (probably should have gone in the Titan upgrading etc. board) and I apologize for that.

I flashed a rom and did not have the camera working either... sooo, I flashed another rom and my phone resets over and over and over (oh my god, and over and over!)..... I flashed the first cooked rom again and still my phone just keeps rebooting....... any ideas? I'm wondering if going back to the WM 6.1 would help........

Are your OS ROM and Radio ROM compatible with each other? Maybe the flash screwed up (try again)? Perhaps the ROM you used was for the wrong device?
Since I HSPL and started flashing my phone will get muted automatically after making 1 call ie on my second call the other party will not be able to hear me whereas I am still able to hear the other party. However when I received calls there is no such problem ie.the other party is able to hear me and the phone is performing normally. It only happens when I make the 2nd call onwards.
After soft resets or reflash to other roms or stock rom 1.66.707.1 the same thing recur.
I have to overcome it when I make the 2nd and subsequent calls by pressing the mute icon twice. I do not have this problem with the original rom 148. when I bought the phone
Any assistance from anyone to overcome this problem will be very much appreciated

My original stock rom 148. with the original radio the phone had no problem.
I started having this problem with radio rom 2.06.51.07
I shall take your advise and maybe flash the radio to radio rom 2.07.50.27_2 and then see as to whether the problem still remain or is overcome..Thank You for your advise
After flashing to radio 2.07.50.27.2 it is still the same situation ie the same problem with the phone as mentioneded above

Recently I flashed to Miri V3.2 Build 5.2.23529 with radio 2.07.50.27_2 and the same proble existed.
I had hard reset and still had the same problem.
Any idea anyone to overcome this problem would be much appreciated....thanks
Not Rom issue
Recently I flashed Miri V7 and after flashing no issue.
However upon restoring through spb rom upgrade rstore( unticking overwriting files) the same issue recurs again. other than this issue which is personal only to me Miri rom V7 is smooth fast and snappy.
Found the solution to muting problem
Initially I thought is the radio problem
Then I thought it is the software programs problem
Next I thought it is due to the custom rom.
Finally I found the problem is due to "activating the auto recording phone" in resco audio recorder V4.62.
Deactivate it and the MUTE problem is gone

I was using multiple ROMs with RADIOs 2.05 and 2.08 and everywhere was this problem - when I calling to someone and press End Call (HW or SW button), phone doesn't end calling, only button get grayed, but it is still ringing.
Please, do you know what could help? Thank you.

the only time I get this is when it connects to my in car bluetooth it never disconnects the call properly any rom!

i get that issue sometimes as well.. i found it worked ok after i made sure the in car bluetooth was automatically allowed to connect to anything it needs.. followed by a soft reset.. should only be the once though
Ok this is interesting. I had never had this problem but now I have flashed to Flashmores latest and the ROM is great and fast (and yes I did hard reset after flashing) but now I have this problem.
When I'm in a call none of the touch keys work. Cant access the keypad or anything. Really annoying.
I have to use the hard key to kill the call.
Any thoughts?
Oh and I dont have a bluetooth headset!

It's independent on Bluetooth and same problem is with hardware- and software- keys (buttons).
I have the same problem...Which ROM versions do you have? mine problems started after flashing ROMs from TMOUS...so versions 1.7 to 2.10...I will revert back to older ROMs...
I think this problem was also in stock ROM about 1.42..

For those problems, I advice you to do these steps in order whenever you want to flash a ROM (stock,shipped,cooked ROM). If you want the stable ROM for daily usage... just flash the shipped ROM
-Choose Clear Storage in you current ROM.
-Take out your SD card and Format it by (FAT32)
-Connect your Device to PC and do a MTTY... You can read this for more details (do it in careful way)
-Then Flash the Shipped ROM 1.66 I suggest the 1.66.405.2 WWE.
-Do not hard reset after flash... I mean let your device through the "Customization" first then just skip all setting and Reset the device. While the device is getting reboot... Do a hard reset
-Setting up all things.

i had this problem yesterday and have fixed it
ceratin roms are only compatible with certain radios
for example yesterday i installed SONE 2.5 and i couldnt make calls, it would freeze
i looked at the ROM requirements and i was using a radio not supported by the ROM
simply change the radio respectively to the ROM
This problem, which I'm describing, is something other. RADIO patch is okay (I think), but phone is "slow" during phonecall and phonecall cannot be hanged out..
I've flashed my HD2 and it just crashes when it receives or makes a call, you cannot hear the other person at all, its just silent... I need to pull the battery out or use the reset button to reset it.
I flashed using the Energy ROM 23138 and also tried 21916 but both crash.
Could it be something to do with the radio? I can send and receive SMS's fine... I tried flashing using the 2.07.50 radio but all it seemed to do was hard reset the ROM.
The phone was a Telstra branded phone bought out right, I'm not with Telstra, I'm with 3 if this makes a difference..
Any help is appreciated, its very frustrating having a phone that can't be used as a phone.
Just thought I'd update;
It was the radio, I found that in the software info the radio was still the wrong version even after I tried updating it..
Flashed it a 2nd time and it worked, no more crashes and all is fixed.
I have been searching all over for answers, but have not found any solid solutions. There was another case similar to mine, HERE but I really don't think things are quite the same. I am new to flashing with HD2, but am very seasoned with the Samsung Vibrant.
I had the phone app crashing and robot voice for a while. I have done all of the supposed fixes but nothing has worked yet. I bought my HD2 second hand, (like the big screen and more RAM better than on my TMO vibrant), but when I got it it was in great condition, completely stock. So I wanted to put android on it because MinMo is (for my concerns) unusable. SO, here is what I have done.
Started with a TMO(US) HD2 Stock
-Flashed New Radio from 2.14.50.02 to 2.15.50.14
-Flashed HD2O WM 6.5 ROM (Phone Worked fine, but decided WinMo sucks)
-Flashed MagLDR
-Flashed CWM
-FLashed BOYPPC SHIFT PDA sense&HOneycomb (FAST!)
But then whenever I tried to make phone calls I get the robot voice and three seconds later, crash. (the process phone in com.android.phone is not responding...)
-The first fix I tried was HERE for the Low volume fix. No Dice...
-Then I Tried this Volume Fix HERE, but did not fix problem.
-I tried disabling the contact sync, seen in another thread, and still nothing.
-Went into Rom Manager, Flashed Clockwork recovery, then used it to "fix Permissions"
-During the permission fixing, I received a normal clear phone call with no FC.
-Then after call it said that it was done with permissions, and asked me to restart.
-After the reboot it would just constantly Force Close every five seconds, and it was not showing any network signal.
So Then I:
-Flashed a new Radio. -2.06.50.04 -TMO US
-Still Not working
-Went back to the MAGLDR and did an AD Hardreset, and tried flashing HYPERDROID.
-Still nothing.
-Reset again and Reflashed BOYPPC SHIFT, (liked it better, I know, a lot of flashes...)
-Now getting network signal, and able to get into the phone program, but as soon as I try to make a call, same problems occur with Robovoice and FC.
Sorry so thorough, but I always feel like more info is better than too little!
I had looked at another thread that said something about wearing out the radio from flashing, but on my vibrant I have flashed over 30 ROMs and 10 or more Kernals, and it still works good, so, I dunno. Kinda stuck.
Got my finger ready for the thanks button for ANY help offered.
Also noticed that now, no sounds are playing at all. Speaker driver error? It worked ok the first time I loaded this rom.
Just installed CMYLXGO's Desire Rom Yesterday and the phone works.
Now running CMY's gingersense streak, which is also a Sense ROM, and it works too. Is there any reason that anyone can think of as to why my phone will only work with sense themes?
i'm having a very similar issue.... i've tried a few roms and i get the same thing. calls go out for a few sec then force close. ppl tell me they can't call me sometimes because of this. i even task 29'd and reflashed everything. radio, magldr, cwm and now hyperdroids latest... still get force close and an unusable phone....

The above is the recommended radio that was a good start. Now the next thing to go under settings --> sound --> Feedback. I forget which one it is that causes the phone to crash/give robot voice but that is most likely what is causing the issue for you guys. I believe non sense builds also have these options if I recall correctly. I use sense builds myself. Also be sure to restart phone after you uncheck the settings under feedback. Phone should work after that and no robot voice.
I dont have robot voice and i'm running that radio. hyperdroid was running fine until recently and i have this problem. i can't get calls it causes the phone app to crash and sometimes calls crash a little bit in.... i've task 29'd and redone a clean install with old known working hyperdroid WITH NOTHING INSTALLED still does it, tried new hyperdroid; same thing...

you can try cyanogenmod and miui by starting over again but remember to do task29 to be sure that you dont leave any traces of previous installations !
