Where to buy Jam Casing???

Hi all, i have managed to drop my jam and there are scratches all over the casing. Do you know a shop or someting where i can order the front and back of the jams case to change it?

White/Grey housing ?

Does anybody know where can i get white/grey housing for Uni ?
In Wiki here is one which i like ... i am boring of my black scratched and very used cover....
Can anybody helps ? Or anybode can send it to me ? (Czech republic, Europe)

Check out Ebay, especially the ones for Vodafone branded equivalent of Uni, I believe they have the lightest silver of the lot. Next one is HTC, then JasJar with O2 being black. I personally prefer black O2 cover with blue key lights to my dark silver JasJar with red keylights, so I changed the housing and the keys The complete housing sell for around $45 USD with hinge sold separately.

Vodafone V1640, even. Someone on here was selling his and posted pics, so you can see the color of the housing, if you find the thread, that is.

htc black herald casing question

i dont know if anyone has done this before but ahm, is it possible to change a tmobile wing housing to a htc herald black cased housing? do they have the same insides? i mean after all they are both affiliated with one another. thanks. oh btw i have a wing, and this is what i wanted to do if possible. i think the tmobile casing sucks. ;/

it should be possible, but the buttons on the front ARE slightly different.
Try it, tell us how it goes. Worse that can happen is you go back to old casing

HTC-branded Housing for the Universal

Hi dee ho folks, not long regged on the forum and i did search on the forum, google, ebay and the likes before i posted so here goes
Does anyone know where i can source an actual HTC-branded Housing for the Universal? I've been given an O2 XDA Exec FOC from uncle and as the screen's cracked i thought i'd be as well replacing the case as i'll be unlocking it as well
Prefer that to the i-mate JasJar housing - JasJar sounds too like a Star Wars character i prefer not to mention!
Anyone ideas? All i can find is the O2, T-Mobile, Vodafone & Orange housings

AFAIK there's no such thing as an HTC Universal, as HTC used to sell all their phones to other companies at that time. There was no real HTC brand yet. The closest to an HTC Universal would probably be an I-mate or Qtek one, as these companies used to to have the closest ties to HTC.

Replacement full casing/housing

I purchased one of these as the housing i had was getting very messy

DONT BUY THIS KIT !!!
The item was listed as new but clearly most of the parts were used.
The biggest problem I had was with the front face plate.
There is a few gold "connectors" that have to be melted in the plastic.
I had to break these out of my old case and used a soldering iron to put them into the new faceplate.
There was also the gold screw holes! these were a real pain.
Again they needed to be broken from the old case and then gently heated with the iron until they melted into their respective hole.
Maybe this is what I should have expected but it would have been nice if they said a little fiddling was required for fitting.
The keyboard was also not as the picture is. It was a chinese keyboard so I just used my own.
All in all it worked out well and my phone looks spanking new but its not really a worthwhile mod given the cost and hastle.

I was also planning to buy that housing but had a second thought about the keyboard. my original keyboard is all black and doesnt have the white numpad.

A few days ago I received the same housing from the same vendor and is all ok. Mounting screw is settled and the exterior is not damaged.
Before ordering I contacted him and sent a picture of my phone. When he confirmed that everything (including keyboard) is identical, I ordered. I got the body and I get happy.

Maybe its bad luck but eBay rules are pretty straight forward.
I was not sold what was listed in the pictured and it was not new (item had marks from use where case slides apart and also scratching.)
The keyboard was not the one in the picutes. I actually have a full black KB but wanted to go with the white panelled one in the pic.
What I got was a chinese all black KB. Useless to me.
Anyway, i got my phone rebuilt and its looks new and works great. It took a little more fiddling than I would have expected and the KB was wrong.
I left Neutral feedback for the vendor because I felt I got what I needed.
