How many Touch's do we own?

I thought it would be interesting to see how many people in here actually own a HTC Touch. I know there are a lot of people who simply read and get all their info with out posting much. I just got Mine in the mail yesterday. I had an iMate Jam for 2 years. The touch is a great upgrade!

I pre-ordered it so i had it the first day it was available in the Netherlands, must say: it really pleases me!!! have it one week tomorrow...

Ordered one, but it will still last some days until it will be released in my country.
Can't await to get my first PPC-phone, which will replace my perfect phone Excalibur (until Touch came out) - AND it is even smaller than the Excalibur!!!

Got my Touch a few days ago.. since they arent selling it in my country yet (norway) i had to order it from london.. cost alot, but worth it.

13. I had mine for 3 weeks, and it works pretty good. I had a Hermes but it is now lying in my drawer. :l

19. I love mine. Size does matter....Full WM6 Pro on a device like this? Even if it did not have Touchflo, I would have bought it. THe fact that it does makes it the perfect setup. I hardly use a stylus anymore....using spb fullscreen keyboard mainly.

Im liking it mainly for the slim nature of the phone

Availability in the Middle East

The Xperia X1 is now available in most parts of the Middle East.
To my knowledge, I have only seen the silver one being sold. The Black one is expected to come within the coming weeks.
It is sold with the usual pacakaging. The memory card supplied is about 128MB and contains the Arabic software support. It also contains a pamphlet with instructions enable/disable the arabic language.The Physical Keyboard is strictly in English.
It is being sold for a price of 275 Kuwaiti Dinars= 3800 Saudi Arabian Riyals =3700 UAE Dirhams.

My opinion, it's a beautiful device. Silver is marvelous. Ive waited so long to get it, I was a bit dissappointed that black wasnt available. I have opted to wait for the Black one. However, i imagine many will be content with silver. The device is much smaller than the pictures! It was shocking how much so. However, I will adopt patience and wait for the black one. X)

I bought mine about 3 weeks ago (silver) and i like it very much. Mind you i like the HTC customization on their phones a lot better than the X1 but you can always flash custom ROMs or install TF3d on it anyway.
Its an amazing looking phone.

Hero or wait for pulse ?

Hi everyone.
Im about to take the plunge with my first android based phone. I have just returned the compact 5 / Diamond 2 to tmobile as I wasnt impressed with it. Ive had windows mobile before but just couldnt get on with it on the diamond 2 and the phone did not ring anywhere near loud enough unlike the hero that I have had a play with.
So phoned tmobile today to order the g2 / hero and tmobile tell me there will be a 3rd android phone as in the pulse. Also instead of using my upgrade, I could put my contract sim in the pulse and buy it outright for 174 pound.
Bar a larger screen, hardware looks identical. I am aware the hero is a high end device, but when you look at the specs of the pulse which is supposed to be a low to midrange handset, there only looks to be the camera resolution thats different.
Any news on the tmobile firmware update as yet please as well?
Any satnav software that comes with any recommendations, and hopefully free.
Your thoughts and advice please ???

Get the G2/Hero.
The new firmware should be available for it in a few days. T-Mobile have set themselves a deadline of 28th September to have it avaialble. I know this from official posts on the UK T-Mobile official forum.
Free SatNav? You could try AndNav2 but it's still very much a work in progress. CoPilot Live 8 is reasonably priced and a good product.

toshiba tg01 for swap with hero

i have a toshiba tg01 for swap for htc hero.
the tg01 is essentially a hd2 in a different skin, great phone, just not for me anymore
phone is immaculate, zero scratches and complete box with all original bits and bobs

I got mine changed by Orange, the three replacement tg01's they sent *all* had the same problem - low / no mic volume.
Eventually talked to someone who offered a replacement choice of three different phones, one was Hero, smiles all round.

after 2 months with the dodgy tg01 and 4 weeks of replacements i sold my tg for £50 and my dad got me a hero on his upgrade. after rooting and booting it its the best phone ive had since the htc diamond
im on t-mob now as well so no more ****ty call centers in abu dhabi talking to an indian called trevor!

Where to buy NEW 2010 X2 Silver in USA ?

Okay, anybody know (for sure not guess work please) WHERE I could buy a New Xperia X2i SILVER that was made 10W28 or newer?
All the X2 s floating around in the U.S., even from reputable sellers, are made LAST year 2009 week 48 (!), that is November!!! The newest I found and bought was 10W03 (third week in January 2010) and I saw several, all of them have VERY dark LCDs. Meaning not bright white but rather a brownish tone to it.
So I am looking to find at least 1. So far not luck and I almost believe SE did not produce any after January 2010. What is your phones manufacture date? But SILVER only please. The black ones are still being produced, I know!

The one you got, is it SILVER, and what is it manufacture date (sticker inside phone battery compartment -10Wxx or 09Wxx-)?
As for those people, I hope you did not pay that price, looks to me like price gaugers!!! The price in the U.S. is perhaps at a pricey retailer 4(!)39 =439 but certainly NOT over 500$$$$ ! Such suckers!

don't beleive what you see on a site for more tech specs www.sonyericsson.com

Yeah, that is what I mean, most all suppliers in the U.S.A. have just 09W48, which is 2009 week 48.... OLD !!!
The latest one I found so far is 10W03, 2010 week 3, but all those have VERY dark screens. They have all kind of BROWNISH Color Tone.
So that is why I posted this, it would be VERY interesting WHERE to get a newer production phone and if those LCDs are dark too.
About this capacitve screen, no way. Same goes for Bluetooth version, most say its 2.1 I think even SE says it. BUT IT IS ONLY 2.0 !!! Suckers!

I use it as a second phone, it's ok. it lives up to my expectations. my primary phone is an HTC HD2 that is a phone for heavy use...

Okay, just for info: anybody got a SILVER X2 with EN newer than 10W05 ?
This is Week 5 in 2010 ! Some say this phone has been discontinued and I never found any newer than 10W05 in the U.S. of A.

I almost got a silver but decided on the black - looks cool sexy. You sure you want a silver X2..well the shell looks gorgeous, but Michael - it simply sucks in the inside. I've become a software engineer instead of a salesperson since getting X2 last month...it sucks..trust me...it sucks..I am neck deep buried with lots of work to do and at the same time - most of the time; fiddling sw patches on my X2 instead of doing real business..might as well use a Moleskin notebook as a pda..the ranting goes on...
