Is there a basic large PHONE pad available ?

Just wondering if there is a very basic phone pad skin available for the M3100...
Just a single line for the number, maybe 2 if the number is too long so the digits don't get too small...
Large buttons for numbers, no video buttons etc just numbers, no need for the TALK/END sort of stuff as the hardware green/red buttons work fine..
Just looking for something that people with wide fingers can use without a stylus....
If there isn't one, what do I need to do to create one ??

Hi, Thanks for that.... Managed to get the skin to work that is included with the eten dialer... I also downloaded the eten_ans etc .zip and put it in the windows dir on the phone after extracting it.. can't seem to find how to enable it (am I thick or something... Don't answer that !!)
The only thing I didn't do was use active sync... I copied the extracted file to my memory card then copied them over from that as the PC I'm at, at the moment doesn't run activesync 4 or higher (horrible win98 se machine..
Any comments much appreciated

I jast ran the cab file from my storage card and it installed perfectly. I did have diffulculty installing additional skins though.

ok i downloaded the buzzdev.net qvga dialer
but how does one install it. Do i just run the cab via activesync or run it on the vario2 or what sorry about the stupid questions
also i download the splash screen stuff from there too how do i make that appear instead of the default tmobile one when starting up

Just stick it onto your device, tap it to load it, install and then when prompted reboot (just hit OK and it'll do it) - the PIN entry screen remains the same, but the main dialer screen changes.
It looks very nice, and I'd use it all the time - except there's no way to use the T9 dialing feature which the regular dialer offers (where you can just type the name of the person you wish to call and it shows all valid entries from the list, so e.g. if I wanted to call my Mum - whose entry is Mum, ironically - I'd type 6-8-6 and then hit Dial). It's quite sad to see that this feature is missing, probably for a good reason as it does cause a fair bit of slowdown on my phone - more than on my old Alpine! - but I still use it all the time and I'm going to have to uninstall the skin because I really neeeeeeeeed that feature. :/

ok if I wanted to get the original tmobile dialer back then all I would have to do is uninstall it then? cool
how would I install the splash screen then?

I installed it OK, the large buttons are awesome, however I have had the following problems:
1) DTMF (Tones) don't work properley when accessing voice mail etc (UK T-mobile) or any other press x application
2) Jog Dialer not active
3) No Smart dialling
Am I doing anything wrong?
Have had to pull it off becasue of the DTMF problem, I've installed it, removed it, rebooted, changed the options etc, nothing seems to fix it.

Fixed it!!
Though I am now using the Eten dialler with smart dial support and one of Paulya's Dark Blue Glass skins.
Editing the registry and setting the value to 0, then soft reboot and dtmf tones are working.
Setting it to 0 wasn't the obvious choice, and previously I hadn't soft rebooted.

Worked it out. For anyone with a similar problem, use the registry editor to locate the following key:
HKLM,"Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL","EnableDTMFSupport",0x0 0010001,1
Change the value from 1 to a 0 and Bob's yer Uncle (for non-British readers that means everything will be cushty - see Only Fools and Horses for a contextual translation)
Did this and I was able to manipulate my voicemail messages as normal.

wow really nice app. Some words are in Russian though.

I like the one handed operation,but I cant figure out the whole interface. Being able to access all the contacts' numbers is priceless.I had to reset my device just to get out of the program. The scrolling isnt as smooth as the competition......

Minimizing program bind to the reject button. You can bind exit from the program to any hardware button: PrimeContact.cfg: ContactList.key.close. Do not pay attention to the Russian comments

You can choose smooth scrolling parameters: PrimeContact.cfg: ContactList.scroll.speed, ContactList.scroll.deceleration_percent

You can use font generator (charset = 161 (GREEK)). The next step is to put them in a fonts folder of used skin
font_gen_eng.zip

For me it works. I put the font_generator.exe and fonts.bat to the fonts folder of blue skin and I edit the font.bat to generate only the 4 fonts that the skin needs. After I transfer the files to device and all now are in greek!

I have the same problem. I tried and on my qtek 8500 without touchscreen and works pretty good. But need some config with the buttons.
And here is the greek language, just erase the doc extention:

Very useful application.
The only drawback is that it takes too long to load. Will this be improved in further releases?

Another thing I have noticed is that even though I have created ANSI fonts using fonts.bat and put them all in the corresponding FONTS folder, I still do not get the accented letters in Spanish. For example:
Where it should say "Fotógrafo" y get "Fotygrafo", instead of ""Mecánico" it shows "Mec6nico", etc.

This is really cool. The description in the first post didn't say too much what it is about. I thought I would give it a try. It really does rotate the screen when you rotate the phone - in any program. Fantastic.

Please read the readme.txt and you will find the answers.
You can add shortcut in startup.
To exclude app use #window parameter.
To rotate TF3D home screen make no sense, because it is designed for portrait mode.

i wouldnt mind, but actually what i thought was wrong.
i wanted to exclude commmanager, dialer screen and the screen you get when someone is calling you.
so i tried with:

that didnt work, so any help would be appreciated...

This problem has nothing to do with our tool.
If you have this kind of problem, you will have it by using another rotation (manually) tool too.

i dont understand the readme how to make a working shortcut and not ask to unload...can someone please make a version i can copy and paste to...?
and it would also be nice if this worked in touchflo 3d.

I really like this one as mentioned before...
Onlt the rotation comes with a lag. It just take 2 or 3 seconds the rotate the screen. Is there any possibility this can be done faster or is this just antoher wm thing?

This theme was made for my Touch Diamond so some shortcuts/buttons may not function correctly depending on your phone.
This can be fixed by click-holding and correcting the target yourself.
Requirements:
- Wisbar Advance Desktop 2
- Mortscript (located at the bottom)
Instructions:
Make sure you have Wisbar Advance Desktop installed first.
Install the Simplicity.zip contents inside \Program Files\Lakeridge\Wisbar Advance Desktop\Theme folder.
followed by Simplicity Plugin.cab and Mortscript.cab.
Open WAD2 Settings, and scan for new themes.
Simple
Known Issues:
The Notifier for SMS does not clear when reading sms in the Messages Tab.
This is a scripting problem with the program and not the skin itself and thus i cannot do much about.
Feel free to tweak or edit as you wish

Great theme, i noticed you have an issue about the sms not hiding when count=0. did you hide the notifications in author mode?? just tap and hold on the screen and then click page, then hide notifications! you may have already done this but if you havnt its a possiblilty this is whats causing the problem

sorry i left it on show on purpose. What i meant by not hiding the notifier is that, for example i recieve an text message. The notifier will display a number "1" beside the icon on the top. I can view the message in the messaging tab/dock, but the status of the message will still be shown as unread, and the notifier number "1" will stay.

The only thing i can think of is linking the actually messaging notification to the messages this way works within my theme, but then again its still an issue, for example you cud click the notification and the number goes back to '0' but click the messaging tab and the number remains '1'
Is there no script that would allow you to 1, open messages and 2 set the messaging notification back to zero once messages have been read?!

No. Diamond config is for TF3D themes. This is not TF3D. It is Wisbar Advance Desktop. As the topic says. The difference is they are two separate programs!

in this is ok but i can´t see my sms on the screen.

I'm probably missing something out, but I can't get this theme to work.
I've got Wisbar Advance Desktop
I installed Mortscript
I copy the cab for the theme to my device and installed it
When to the Wisbar config, and selected the theme (not much seemed to happen)
The background of the default home screen changed to black for a second, and then went back to the default
I tried a soft reset, but still no theme....what am I doing wrong?

Seems right to me. You sure you are running Wisbar Advance Desktop 2?

problem showing sms
Nice theme! I have a problem. Sms messages will not show in sms tab... any clue?

hi. great theme. works perfect...nearly. i also got the prob with the sms. no symbol for new messages is on screen. old sms aren´t there, next...previous doesn´t work, too. but i do my best!
ps. i changed the regional settings du english (united states). don´t know if those settings have any influence on it.

Using a Reg editor please check if you have this Regkey installed (The cab should've installed but just in case)
HKLM\Software\ThrottleLauncher\Messaging
Also please make sure you have MortScript installed.
Could you please tell me if any errors are shown when you try to view messages?

WisBar Advance Desktop, v 2.1.5.1
I unticked touchflo from the today settings...would that make any difference?

Yes, it's installed and the folders are there.
No errors shown. Nothing happens when in that tab.. everything else works great.

hi. thanks for the reply. mortscript is installed. the reg keys are there. in "ThrottleLauncher" is the key "MessagingCom" in "Messaging" is another folder called "SMS".

ok my problem is when i tab the message icon i ressive a message box and have a error message the sortcut is invalid.
so i can see my sms

@m00moo - Might wanna inform everyone they need Message2reg for the SMS to work.
Secondly for those that have a blank theme... Click and HOLD then choose Wallpaper and pick one. The likely hood is you have the default black wallpaper and it makes this theme look almost blank with it.
