sms input using touch screen - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam General

i was wondering if there was anything out there so i could use a touch qwerty keyboard to input text messages(so you dont have to slide out the keyboard on the 8525)
i am using something called phone pad, but that just gives you a pad like a normal cell phone. it doesnt matter if it supports landscape mode, but it would be nice. anything has got to be bigger than that little popup keyboard.

recognize event of slide keyboard (htc wizard)

any idea? how to get event of slide keyboard was opened?
mean: wizard changes screen orientation where we slide out/in the hardware keyboard. how to get with this event? in coding.
I dont want to recognize just a screen orientation, what I can do now, I want to recognize where is the hardware kayboard.

On-screen keyboard

I use PIE with PIEPlus 2.2 for browsing, and every time I click into a text box on a web page the on screen keyboard pops up - this is very annoying as I use full screen mode and this causes the screen to come out of full screen mode while the keyboard pops up. Also I'm in landscape mode with the hardware keyboard slid out, so the on-screen keyboard is not needed.
I'm sure this problem never happened before, I'm just wondering if anyone knows of a setting or whatever I might have changed?
Use nullkeyboard

Also, if you start typing on the hardware keyboard while te software keyboard is on the screen, it'll disappear and only reappears when you tap te "keyboard button" instead of appearing every time you select a text box.

[Q] Keyboard

I read in the manual that you can change the layout of the keyboard. the only option I see is qwerty....how to do I make it show the cell phone keyboard?
Arrow
When you have the keyboard open, there is an icon underneath it, with an arrow pointing upwards. If you get your stylus out and press the arrow (not the keyboard icon), you will get a few options (Phone Keypad, Compact QWERTY and Full QWERTY). I use full QWERTY but I do admit that the Phone Keypad is quite easy to use.
Hope that helps

[Q] Best Keyboard for your A500

What keyboard do you use on your Iconia? And why?
I'm looking for a good keyboard, so tell me what you use.
I use SwiftKey X Tablet.. why?
I love the split keyboard where each thumb has the ability to reach each key if you're holding the tablet on landscape; like you're holding a steering wheel. With the default keyboard, your thumb normally cannot reach the center of the keyboard where letters TYGHVBN are.
Any other keyboards out there have special features out there that are designed for tablets? I want to know.
I use thumb keyboard on my A500. It was free on the amazon app store

The Logitech K400 is a wireless kb with trackpad that uses a small USB dongle. Instant response and the trackpad works.
For touch, I like the Swype keyboard. Zero complaints. For a tactile keyboard, I use an HP wireless USB mouse/keyboard combo that sat unused for years until I got my A500.
Try "any soft keyboard". Its a little obscure, but I turned off the word prediction and added a number row to the top. If you pinch out it will split the keyboard and if you pinch in it will put it back to normal.
+ 1 for Swype.... I use for tablet and phone
Hackers Keyboard for touch screen, and I just use my old folding Palm Bluetooth keyboard for longer typing. The Palm keyboard works perfectly, folds small, saw no reason to get something newer.
