Bootloader unlock does not work .... but !

Hi
Just got my Qtek 9000 today.
As far as I've read, you can NOT unlock the Bootloader like on the wizard in order to make a ROM Upgrade , right ?
You can however change the ROM ? by using this following method ?

Yes, its esentially doing the upgrade but manually

Orbit ROM

Is it possible that some "smart" person who owns an Orbit (UK model) extracts its ROM and makes is possible to load it to another Orbit in Bootloader mode?
Or can someone tell me how to clear the CID in Bootloader mode, so I can flash my Orbit with a Dopod or p3300 rom.
FYI: My Orbit can only boot on Bootloader mode because I was stupud to flas it with the PDAMobiz rom.....

U can make your Artemis(orbit) superCID only with IMEICHECK.co.uk for 20GBP. But u can flash there tmouk rom i guess even if its still cid locked. this rom is in one of threads arte-unlock,upgrade. BTW ibet u tryied pdamobiz customized. Im I right? this one ****ing rom has some big troubles, try lite or powermap version

Υes i agree... Try Lite or PowerMap Version... The customized is not working at least at most of us... For the T-mobile ROM search this thread

I know about Imei-check solution, but it can only be done when your Orbit/Artemis functional. Mine isn't. Is stops/hangs at het splashscreen.
My only hope is when either Imei-ckeck or some other programmers software can do its job in the Bootloader menu.
Or O2 UK / Germany has to release a Rom specific for the Orbit so that you do'nt get the message "bad vendor-id"

BTW I messed my Orbit up with the Powermap rom...

try tmouk rom. it might work even w/o ur pda beeing SuperCID. Better try first. It works directly from bootloader

Thanks for the advice, tried it, but after 3% it says "invalid vendor -id".
I've heard that there's a dopod test-rom out there that does'nt verify the vendor id. Who knows where to download it???
Or can I use a "cracked" ROMUpdateUtility.exe?? Is it already out there??

So I guess only one thing U can do is to send it to Imeicheck, they'll use jtag. or try 2 wait untill there will any free solution

I am just waiting for my German Orbit to arrive and I would like to switch to English ROM as soon as possible. I cannot find any more the FTP site with all the rom stored in, can you give me an hint on where to find such English ROMS for the Orbit?

Help me I'm stupid! Orbit boot problem after bad flashing

hi I've tested a new powermap.exe dopod rom but after reboot my O2 still freez on boot screen (I can see only O2 boot screen with radio and rom version), so I can't connect my Orbit in windows mode, only in IPL boot (via usb) but I've this error when lounch any rom:
INVALID MODEL ID ,with any original rom
INVALID UPDATE TOLL ,with any modified for imeicheck upgrade
yes, I've unlock my Orbit via imeicheck but now I must have the original Germa rom for repair it...please anyone konw the solution of my problem or have any original German O2 rom?
help me please!

If you had unlocked your Device with IEMI Check, and everything was fine, and you sure that your device is now CID unlocked, than try T-Mobile original ROM (should help) IF not? So ... Welcome Here

That's strange... I thought that you should be able to flash any ROM after unlocking, not just the original German one. Maybe something went wrong during unlocking? I suggest that you send an email to those guys from imei-check, maybe they can offer you a solution.

you only can get it back to life with an O2-XDA-German-ROM (which odes not exist right now).
The other option is to send the device to repair (service centre).
The unlocker can NOT work in case your device has a malfunction (it is described in DETAIL that the unlocker requires a working ActiveSync connection on the our web site where you purchase the unlock).

do you know where is the TM shipped rom? I have O2 Orbit and originary was GERMAN rom...

It is posible only if your Device is CID unlocked ... If not ... only service or imei-check...

I apologize for you. My orbit was originary German and locked, so I'm unlocked it with imeicheck utility, so I was installed a HTC wwe ship rom. And yesterday I has a problem with powermap rom. Now I've solved with TMobile rom, I don't know if working because my Orbit was CID unlocked (I belive no, because if now i try to install htc wwe ship rom I've wrond ID error message..) Do you have try to install via bootloader mode? enter in bootloader, so double click on tmobile rom.

2 jokkk3r im using dopod shipped, im quite happy. its +-new dev. it'll take some time till here will be some roms or at least tools for cooking them.but most im waiting for is extrom unlocker like is for universal,thar U can use it like a storage

Hello you! i have the mobile Dopod M700 and it was not in WIN. My Hardreset tried (several times), the report found it was OK but not in WIN is the only boot screen (DOS) with the parameters:
IPL 1.29.001
SPL 1.29.000
GSM 02.69.90
OS January 29, 2000
My trial is still in bootloader mode to be; Currently I have not done any additional action other (not UPROM or remove anything)
I hope you have had the original ROM for the M700 to ask yourself (I currently have ROM: RUU_Artemis_DOPODASIA_WWE_LOVE_1.28.717.1_INFINEON gsm4.1.13.30_02.69.90_Cmp_Ship_R! But I see My machine is 1:29; 1:28 so this is their not dare Up) or would you show me how to CID Unlock the machine in Bootloader mode (not to be in WIN and without ActiveSync)
Not know much about My PPC; so please save your guide what I should do now?

only one way: i go to htc.com and sign up members then download the file directly from ROM htc.com original M700 and uprom for mobile.
If you can not do I'll send you the original ROM file there!
After the original rom is now up; you have to unlock CID then relaxing ROM upgrade!

i need ur help...i got I-mate Jam...and i recently updated it to Cotulla wm6.1 Professional,i m facing a problem of automatic shutdown and no radio.....i hav searched alot at this forum and also at google bt didnt get the suitable radio...anyways i live in Pakistan and want to get a proper radio.....and yes i saw on youtube a man is using Manila 2d at his I-mate Jam....can u ppls plz tell me how to get that????

I ve get the radio rom by an Update bevor with the original latest software from my provider.

and where i can get this radio....i saw imate jam on xda wiki....i downloaded
OS 1.13.01 / ExtROM 1.13.129 / Radio 1.12
this from there.....and followed the instructions bt i m not able to install on jam in windows 7....and i dont know the acutall radio that work with me......
if u can help me out at this i will be very thankful to U

"Was muß ich bei Vista/Windows7 32/64 beachten". Its in German ,but easy to understand. Of course of your own risk !
You can change the Driver when switch the device in Bootloader Mode and connect to PC.
Camera+Power+reset. Then Step by Step change the driver from "Windows7" to Driver which is in "active sync" dowloaded.
I flashed with this a Magician, a Wizard and a Blu Angel without Problems. But carefull ! Follow all Steps !

if you open it and remove your USB settings to touch them are starting to install programs ... not give their restart and still finish as I have stated above screen USB / Serials

To change the USB Driver , Magician must be in Bootloader Mode (Camera+Power+reset ) Then you make the procedur like in the manual i gave you and change the USB Driver from Win7 to Driver from active sync .
Use MaupgradeNoID.exe for Update.
