I'm just learning about all this...could someone please tell me how to be able to see animations? I've downloaded flash player from adobe but evidentally don't know how to use it. I've had my ppc for over a year but just been interested in learning other things although now it's starting to be aggravating...HELP!!

Ok, What I want to do.
I would like to develop a today screen that will go over the the original today screen.
A Media player (i know some are in development but i want one that looks like the picture at the bottom.)
SMS to add multiple contacts (looks like pocketcm but nicer and cleaner look to it).
these are just some of my ideas i would like to do and if i can talk to anyone that can help me develop these programs so i can go more in detail.
here are some pics that i pulled from the meizu m8 but i dont want it to look like that exactly just to give you a picture on what i want to do.
please i would really want to develop this and i am not any good in programing so if someone can please help me.

I cant speak for the others, but Melody .NET actually uses the meizu m8's media player bar. You can get it here:

when you say need, you mean want.. not a dveloper myself, but before, when people actually need a prog they say theyll pay, id guess yours is more want then...
and tbh who doesnt want an iphone media player...
if you use the netcf version of melody which thundershadow developed, im like the troubleshooter, and id be glad to help you out with it..

Hey guys..im just trying to help the scene here. I found the piranha Iphone flash theme online luckily. If you guys know how to code good, maybe you can convert the .swf to fla and edit the flash file so you can use touch on it and maybe even edit icons to launch programs on our pocket pc's ... Im trying to mess with it myself to see if i get somewhere.. It seems pretty neat also.. enjoy X-D

i didnt get your comment, but i guess this just gets bumped on..i sure dont know about flash so...maybe someone with knowledge to this type of scene could help..

Check this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=353100 and then find animated themes here http://wm5.mobi/wall/anim.html, I´m not sure if the fishy theme is there but there´s a lot more interesting than the iphone theme
Doesn't work
iFonz is pretty good. Use it with S2U2, S2P, S2V, CM-Keyboard and CM-Contacts and there you have WM looking as close to the iPhone as you're going to get.
pavgater01, reread the posts, they have NOTHING to do with watching movies... Its about skinning the Hermes to look and respond like an iphone...

No matter iPhone or iPhone 4, all have some drawbacks, one is that it doesn't support to play Flash SWF animation files. Can anybody give some simple solutions?

After some searching through the vast amount of information on these forums I'm still at a lose on how to create my own Theme's on my HTC Touch HD.
Do I need to change TouchFlo theme's or Manila themes? It is it a tad confusing to a noobie!
I've discovered things that edit previously made ones but dont really want to do this. I really need to be able to open the files in photoshop, preferably in JPG format in order to change them to my cool designs that I'm sure you'll all love!
I'm a Photoshop designer and think my skills at doing this would be appreciated once I've learnt how to save the files out. I've already got a few ideas on some of the icons/wallpapers/theme's I'm planning on using. If anyone can let me know how to rip the files from my phone that need chaning I'd appreciate it.
I've read that they all end _manila, but I cant seem to find them.
I love animated gifs. I get them in MMS, I go to 4chan and look at ppl do silly things, I watch radar in my browser sometimes. I miss being able to do these things. I could do them flawlessly on my touchpro 1 and touchpro 2, but on my moto droid NOPE!! so any developers out there that have some insight into this topic please help me, and everyone else who really wants this BASIC FUNCTIONALITY put into android.

Because the gif format is archaic, and Android is a forward-thinking platform .
well, if getting MMS attachments on your phone is archaic call me old fashioned then? I really hope this is supported. i don't see the point in leaving it out completely.
sorry for the double post. I found the bug page at google related to animated gif files. If you all could be so kind as to star this issue to get it bumped up higher I would appreciate it very much.

animated gifs are used for the hero builds' bootanimation, so android does support it, just not in its framework

The main feature I am looking to implement is a fully customized GUI centered around music and videos so on startup there would be no need to have and navigate to a music player app. I would prefer to develop what I can, if not everything, in python, my side goal of this project is to become much more familiar with python.
I would like to know if this is possible, and if there are any recent tutorials I could follow to get a basic understanding of what I can and can not do, most of what I could find through google search were around 3 years old and dealing with python 2 so I was hoping there was something more up to date I could follow, or at least someone could share their knowledge with me.

unfortunately no one will help you .. i requested the same thing and i got ignored .... i suggest you watch tutorials and try to solve your problem yourself
