Repair IMEI ? - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam General

I'm sorry to all for posting the same thread about repairing IMEI. I do know that repair imei is illigal in some country. I just did not find the answer i looking for.
Thre reason I'm asking about this matter is,
yesterday I agreed to help my customer to upgrade ROM on his Hermes. the stupid thing is that i did not check it thoroughly. and now after upgraded, he says that the imei in sticker beneath battery does not match with shows *#06#. he says that rom upgrading proccess cause it. and now i can't argue with him cause i didn't know the imei match or do not match at first place. he ask me to buy it or replace it unless i can match the imei.
So, please is it do able on not ? I just want simple answer.
if any one here know the answer and do not everyone know about it please pm me.
please ?! thank you

unfortunatly, even if this was the case (and i doubt it, never heard of a hermes rom that changed someone's imei), changing it back is illegal and posting an answer to your question is forbidden in this forum.
make sure that your costumer knows what imei is and where to find it (usuael on the back of the phone there are 2 extra digits that *#60# doesn't show).

ok, I guess i'll never received simple answer yes or no. I'll try talk to my customer with an axe in my hand just to convinced him that rom upgrading does not altered the imei.
Thank you !!!

IMEI problems

Ok so before flaming about "man its illegal" or such, just listen my story.
I bought a HTC magic like 6 months ago from someone who bring the phone with him from england. As long as i live in Turkey, i asked him about "i wont buy it if it is not registered else it ll be shutted down in no time" He told me that i am right, thats why he registered the phone, and we checked the official IMEI registration check site "http://imei.tk.gov.tr/sorgu/imeisorgu.php" and it was written "registered IMEI".
Well after 5 months even a bit more, the system decided to drop the registration (seriously i dont understand why they do such thing), and now when i check it, it says "unregistered device".
I called the imei registration office, they told me that they found some documents are missing and had to sended again to them (which is quite lie probably) thats why they unregistered my imei. Well, if the documents are missing why the **** on earth they registered the phone once? Something is really fishy here. I really dont know what are they trying to do but there is only 1 thing coming to my mind that its just to cut off the second hand phones and make the people buy new phones to make the dealers win more money. This is a really sick idea with a very ****ty way to force it to the end user.
Now, i have no chance to find the seller to make him resend the papers to them for registering my phone ONCE again.
So, i decide to change my IMEI, and i wanna use the IMEI of the old nokia 6600 which is registered ofcourse.
So now please tell me is this wrong what i wanna do now? I bought a registered phone, one day they decided to unregister it by themselves, and now i got a blocked phone.
Thanks to Turkey's retarded laws and orders, all i wanna do is to use my nokia's imei on my sapphire 32b. This is not thief or such i think.
Now anyone can help about it? i digged a lot about imei change, i found imei change for many other models, but not for my phone. And as long as i see, changing imei means stolen phone in your countries, thats why no one wanna talk about it.
Well guys, in this earth there are some other possibilities about that imei stuff, mine is one of the exemple. Please stop thinking about "imei change = thief" idea if the subject is Turkey.
Thanks a lot.

Imei changed, is my phone for the bin?

Hi all,
I flashed my phone and didnt something stupid. Anyway to get to the point my imei has been changed, my edp folder whatever its called im guessing is long gone or damaged.
I don't get signal and spent hours looking online, nv gen etc but thats for american so doesnt work.
without the edp folder whatever its called is there a way to restore imei or is it for the bin?
Probably not worth sending to samsung as they will charge a fortune.
thanks

if that doesnt work, look for company offering j-tag repairs
send it to them. cost me £30 or under $60 to have it fixed (repaired efs and emi+serial etc fixed)
if you look for the offical distributors for "riff box, z3x box" etc they usually offer repairing services as well

We've done this because the phone still belongs to EE and we have been notified that it's been stolen or subject to fraud,
For more information and for the instance in which we may be able to re enable this phone, please visit ee.co.uk/phonedisabled , Unlock
Any idea to get rid of this problem, I have flash O2 firmware but same condition,

Visit the mentioned EE thread if you`re legit and straighten it out, supposedly it is reported as stolen or fraudulus somehow. No one will help you here and i suggest that you delete this thread or you will be reported. Discussing these things are illegal on XDA!
^^ as stated... the iemi will be barred
lol you bought a stolen phone, i bet you thought you got a great price huh?

As has been suggested , take it to the provider concerned.

[Q] Imei Problem i9500!

First of all,i didn't ask to change my imei because i know it is illegal in some country.I just want to know whether imei is embedded into hardware and how can i retrieve that imei back.
here is my story.
i've been flashing this device(S4 i-9500) hundred of time and never get this imei problem and i didn't backup my efs folder until i realised how important it is.So i've this imei problem for 3 month now.i stopped searching because can't find a thing that work for me after 7 days and night trying to solve this problem.I have the original imei on my back of the phone and it is the same one before this device have generic 0499 imei. QPST tool didn't work for me because it is for qualcom chipset and i can't find tools for exynos chipset until now.
it's so funny because my device is bricked and unbootable so many times and i can solve that easily but can't solve this problem until now. i've buy new device because i need to use it for my work, I'll love to see my S4 is working again rather than use it just for playing games on it.
if anyone have information and ever solve this problem and it is illegal please use private message.
All information is useful for android development community.
Thank you.
Search the forums, as this has been discussed, at least, for the I9505. The information in general should apply to the I9500. However, we are in a gray area here, and it may be best to send the phone to Samsung to fix.

yes,i know there is in i9505,unfortunately it doesn't apply to exynos chipset..The tools is only for qualcom chipset and it doesn't work on exynos.
Guess my last resort is to send to samsung..and i don't know how much they will charge, because i don't have warranty anymore.
if can,i want to do it myself because i've not enough money for now to send to service center.

Null imei + baseband unknown.

Hi everyone ! I have been running cm12 5.0.1 for some weeks on my I9500 and now after i flashed stock firmware 4.4.2 i have no network signal, i can't make calls or receive and my imei is null. Any ideas ?
Just tell me 'the easy way' for that, i googled it and i found a lot of things but i can't use "EFS PRO" because it doesn't recognize my phone, i mean the phone is connected and it still says 'connect phone to continue'. -> I TRIED ADB off/on, 2 different cables, usb ports. ( Beside efs pro the phone is recognized without problem.)
Same issue as this?

you must search for a jtag service in your location
as antaresone says in their tool thread AntaresOne's IMEI backup/restore tool "if you lose IMEI and don't have a backup, you're lost"
But why does that happens ? I mean to Shivam Bhalla didn't do anything to his phone, and i flahed stock firmware, why would this happen?
I didn't backup imei before that, can i do something anymore ?
The solution is really simple, but I don't know if anyone is willing to help you anymore considering your last thread. You insulted some of the highest respected members here.
Eh, so what i may do now? I just want to know if i could do it by myself or it requires some special tools ? And is that expensive if i would take it to a service?
Wow no one is willing to help me for real, idk how i insulted them, it was just my suspicious personality about that CM, just soory if i insulted you, u may help me now 3,
Come on im just a retarded guy who wants to repair his phone.

Have you tried flashing Lollipop modem?
I didn't try anything yet. Anything to do before flashing a lolipop modem ? I have 4.4.2 kitkat.
I flashed this, it flashed in 00:02 seconds, the phone boot-up and nothing changed, same null imei and a lot of other problem .
I9500_UBUBMG9_MODEM.tar.md5 - can't attach, it says invalid file, it has around 15 MB

In this one post you...
1. Threw out a worthless apology and in the same sentence demanded help.
2. Played the disabled card.
I'm going to say, "you're screwed". If you don't understand how you insulted AntaresOne - a bigger crime than calling me "Mr. Impatient" - no amount of explaining will change that.

So what may i do to get help now ?
Send your S4 to the service center and pay for the repairs. Then keep that cost in mind as the consequence of insulting people who are trying to help you.
