Caller ID Telus p4000 - Mogul, XV6800 General

Hey Guys,
I have a weird question, i have a p4000 from telus in canada and i DONT have caller ID. Telus charges a ridiculous fee for it.
However when i go the caller id screen i can see the numbers of my calls for like 1/2 a second then it goes blank. This is enough that i can get my last call anyways.
Is there any way to completely unlock this via software that anyone knows??

My Telus bill is about $180/mo. (For my HTC Titan & my wife's RAZR V3c.)
...
*sob*

i think mine is 100 or so for the p4000 and the touch.

I agree on the price gouging. I stripped everything off my P4000 plan months ago. No data, no CID, no voicemail, everything except a 20$/month calling plan. I didn't do this because I don't need the features, quite the contrary. But it's my way of protesting the horrible monopoly we're stuck with in Canada. ****em, they're not getting access to my wallet until they match Sprint's unlimited data, unlimited text and 500 minutes for 30$ a month. [/END RANT]
Now, what do you mean by the "caller id screen"? Maybe there is way to hack it but I'm not sure what you're referring to.

I'm referring to the screen you get when you are at the phone screen and you press the button named: Call History
I couldn't find a shot of it in its default state but here is what it looks like if you have the contact photos addon:

Video Chat (same as the TyTn II)

I have the HTC Apache (XV6700) with WM6, and my friend has the HTC Hermes (8525) with WM6 too. His phone screen has an option for video call, but it doesn't work. Is there any info on this? I don't have that option on my WM6 version.
I'm assuming AT&T has a video chat feature (or maybe will have one soon). I saw on a review site for the TyTn II (here is a link http://smartmobilegadgets.wordpress.com/2007/07/31/htc-tytn-ii-the-ultimate-mobile-companion/) The phone has a camera in the front that acts as a video chat.
Is there any way to get this working on our phones?
Here is a pic from the link above.

Even if you could get it working would you really want to? Lets think about this for a minute...your camera is on the back of the phone..so you would have to choose whether you wanted to see the person on the other end or turn the phone around so they can see you. Kinda defeats the purpose of "video chat" doesn't it? Additionally they are a 3g device that can handle data and a phone call at same time. The apache is not..it handles data OR a phone call.
Some people are just clueless. You have a phone designed for a CDMA network. NO CARRIER in US offers true video calling right now. (cingular's video share is useless if you ask me). What makes you think it would work ?!

GUIDE: Get Just a data plan on g1 and keep bill less than 50 bucks. or no data plan

Im in a little bit of a pinch. I never use voice and I use sip with 3g when I do.
So I thought of a solution.
I heard the sidekick could have just internet so...
To get your bill under 50 bucks you must have that.
I figured out how to have just a dataplan...
First go to t-mobile.com
And login

}
Stroll till you see this.
Then click the Not your phone link
Choose check sidekick.
Scroll down untill you see the green "t-mobile sidekickā„¢" Click it.
Now it will go back to my t-mobile. scroll all the way down until the links at the bottom and click Plans & Services.
Click Change plan
Now scroll a little untill you see.
check the button and scroll all the way down and click change plan.
Now click manage.
press not my phone again
check t-mobile.
and scroll down untill you see your g1.
press the select button.
And congrats you are now paying less than 50 bucks for your g1 the sidekick plan will stay on even after you say its a g1 again ...
Also to get no data plan chose some cheepy phone and in services click no data plan ...
Any particular reason you dont select THIS plan: http://www.t-mobile.com/shop/plans/....aspx?tp=tb1&rateplan=T-Mobile-Total-Internet ??
Its even cheaper.
But if your on a sidekick plan then won't they cut off the data. People were complaining that they had the sidekick plan or the web2go or one of the other data plans and it worked until not to long ago. Now the G1 data will only work under the G1/Android data plan or am I looking at something wrong. I can't see the pics so I might be missing something.
No I meant choose like a cheap ghetto phone that can have just voice to do that.
Anyway I don't know what phone has that total internet so...
idk

[Q] T-Mobile My Account

This could go for any phone, but since I have the Nexus 4 I thought I should post it in here.
I just received an update for T-Mobile My Account, the one on the Play store that gives you the information in your notification window, and after the update it was showing me the "Tutorial" Screen and I noticed that it was showing "XX/Unlimited" for minutes and texts.
(See here

On my phone however it only shows up "Unlimited" ... I'm curious if I can get the actual count to show up on mine, and how? I am on a monthly pre-paid plan, so I'm not sure if that is why. Since I am unlimited, it's not life or death, just something I'd like to be able to get the stats on.
If anyone has a Nexus 4 and was able to do this and can tell me that would be awesome, or if anyone knows of a setting within the app itself?
Thanks in advance everyone.

there should be a data tracking in the settings menu that let you know how much data you have used
From my experience the app will not show stats for anything that is unlimited as there is no point in keeping track of it. Mine shows minutes used, as I only have 100, unlimited texts with no number given, and how much data I've used as the cap it at 5 GB. Verizons app does the same thing, as I have true unlimited data it never shows how much I have used but as my minutes and texts are limited I get a count on them.
OK that's cool ... I had seen the pictures and was wondering, no biggie!
Thanks all!

LG H918 V20 has no video calling available

When I got my v20 I had the option to video call. But I've noticed lately that the video call button has been grey for a while now and I don't have the option anymore. I'm on VoLTE with wifi calling enabled. I'm also rooted stock with custom TWRP recovery. Anyone know what dependencies that video calling relies on

Thank you
Just wiped to a custom ROM and still no video calling....what is going on?...
My icon on the dialer is also greyed out (rooted stock rom T-Mobile), goin into my contacts allows me to video call people. Unfortunately going into the contacts is how I've always VC friends..so Im unsure what the greyed icon actually does.
Can you verify goin to a particular contact and hitting video still works like me?

Ok now that Im playing around with mine, my daughter who is sittin right next me on a J7 is greyed on my end and my wife who is here too on a S7e is green. Here is whats puzzling...My daughter can still VC me like normal and I can accept, but I cant VC her.
Can you have a party maybe initiate a VC to you?
Extra info: a few times the greyed icon still let me call to my daughter's J7
Even more info: I can regular call my daughter and switch to a VC midcall, even tho she is greyed out.

RCS Android Messages on Unlocked OP6t

Anyone have RCS on Android Messages on their unlocked OP6T? I have yet to see it on mine. I have Straight Talk through ATT. My parents have Moto G5 plus on the same service and they both have RCS for Android Messages. It's still telling me it's unavailable for my device.

Funny thing is the day that I posted this, I ended up getting a bug fix update and now I have the RCS chat features. My friend didn't have them though the other day, so I don't know if it's a slow roll or something. I still have yet to get gmail dark mode.

Did you receive an update to the phone? Or an update to the app?
I'm on T-Mobile, but converted the phone to international. I don't have it on mine either.
It's working fine on my phone. Carrier is Deutsche Telekom in Germany. Though I've got nobody to chat with via RCS. [emoji23] I'm wondeing if this is going to change anytime soon.
It says "State: Connected" on the screenshot.
