When I got my v20 I had the option to video call. But I've noticed lately that the video call button has been grey for a while now and I don't have the option anymore. I'm on VoLTE with wifi calling enabled. I'm also rooted stock with custom TWRP recovery. Anyone know what dependencies that video calling relies on

Thank you
Just wiped to a custom ROM and still no video calling....what is going on?...
My icon on the dialer is also greyed out (rooted stock rom T-Mobile), goin into my contacts allows me to video call people. Unfortunately going into the contacts is how I've always VC friends..so Im unsure what the greyed icon actually does.
Can you verify goin to a particular contact and hitting video still works like me?

Ok now that Im playing around with mine, my daughter who is sittin right next me on a J7 is greyed on my end and my wife who is here too on a S7e is green. Here is whats puzzling...My daughter can still VC me like normal and I can accept, but I cant VC her.
Can you have a party maybe initiate a VC to you?
Extra info: a few times the greyed icon still let me call to my daughter's J7
Even more info: I can regular call my daughter and switch to a VC midcall, even tho she is greyed out.

I have the HTC Apache (XV6700) with WM6, and my friend has the HTC Hermes (8525) with WM6 too. His phone screen has an option for video call, but it doesn't work. Is there any info on this? I don't have that option on my WM6 version.
I'm assuming AT&T has a video chat feature (or maybe will have one soon). I saw on a review site for the TyTn II (here is a link http://smartmobilegadgets.wordpress.com/2007/07/31/htc-tytn-ii-the-ultimate-mobile-companion/) The phone has a camera in the front that acts as a video chat.
Is there any way to get this working on our phones?
Here is a pic from the link above.

Even if you could get it working would you really want to? Lets think about this for a minute...your camera is on the back of the phone..so you would have to choose whether you wanted to see the person on the other end or turn the phone around so they can see you. Kinda defeats the purpose of "video chat" doesn't it? Additionally they are a 3g device that can handle data and a phone call at same time. The apache is not..it handles data OR a phone call.
Some people are just clueless. You have a phone designed for a CDMA network. NO CARRIER in US offers true video calling right now. (cingular's video share is useless if you ask me). What makes you think it would work ?!
Check out the Orb Lock Screen here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=487066
Here's what an incoming call would look like when you are using the Orb interface.
Of course, this is only a concept, and I need the help of some developers to make this happen, but anyways, look on at the pretty pictures:
So, your browsing the web when you get a phone call:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
That's what you'll see when the call first comes in. The upper right orb for the phone turns orange and then alternates with the following icon shown next:
That icon shows the picture of the person who's calling so that you can quickly tell who it is. If you want more options or to see their number, you can touch and drag the orb out to the center and it will come up with more options like ignore, txt back, etc.
So, those two phone icons keep on alternating until you pick up or your voicemail picks up.
If you decide to answer, you just click the phone icon there and your talk screen will show up:
The upper right orb for the phone stays illuminated orange to signify that you're currently in the phone section.
When you click End, you will be taken back to your previous screen, in this case the web browser, and your work isn't interrupted.
If you didn't want to pick up, you could just ignore the flashing and keep on working, or you could drag the phone orb to the center of the screen to get an option to ignore.
This is, of course, still a concept, so I need anyone that knows how to develop WinMo apps to help me if they can. It would be great to make this interface a reality since it would be easier to use than the current WinMo interface, and it could even be better than PointUI.
A video showing this phone answering system will be posted when I have some more time.
So please, if you can develop, or if you know someone, show them this page!
And remember to check out the Lock Screen also, if you havent: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=487066
Thanks, everyone,
Andrew
nice concept, i like it much! wish some1 manage to develop it.
I have been having issues with the Phantom Voicemail issue on all the Cyanogen Mod roms.
I have tried changing the voicemail phone number through the My Carrier options, that did nothing. Tried clearing out the Dialer Storage, that did nothing.
I have spent roughly 3 hours trying to find a fix. Does anyone know of anything?
I use Google Voice, so the dual notification icons get annoying, not to mention the fact that this one doesn't disappear, and reappears if I reboot my phone, or go in and out of service.
If there is a file that I can remove to have it stop, and allow me to just use Google Voice, that would work great too, as of now, I just want the darn thing gone.
You have to download an app and black list it. There's a post around here somewhere. I'm on my phone so I can't find it. But look for Sprint's VVM. There's a link to the app in the OP.

The two apps I can think of are RedList, and SPC (Super Private Conversation). SPC is the bigger of the two apps (I think around 2-3mb?), but I don't think the free version of RedList lets you disable the notification icon (I could be wrong? Someone feel free to correct me).
Is there anything other then an application that can block the notification message?
Removing a file or changing a file perhaps?
No clue, though I'd wager it has to be done on the code level.
I don't think I've ever actually ran into this bug. I gather it notifies you of voicemails despite not actually having any? Odd.
It looks like this, with my phone number edited out.

No matter what the time it is, this was on first boot up. Then it "notified me" again, at 11:17 PM.
It's a known bug on Cyanogenmod...

no one? I forgot to tell. I have a samsung exynos note3. SM-N900
Its look like u have installed to many strange apps. Try remove the suspicious one by one. If u use specific ROM, ask at the ROM dev thread.

I can suggest to try to keep this thread up for a few days, if no one responding with the same experience then it will probably not a a kind of bug but some kind of mishandle about how u maintain ur phone.
I have an LG g6, its unlocked from sprint, I dont live at USA.
The problem relies onto the use of data when using whatsapp, is the only app with this problem .
When I try to send audio, images or videos through whatsapp (ONLY ON DATA, WIFI WORKS PERFECTLY), it never sends them. Another weird fact is that I can still recieve messages, and even images from other people, without they knowing I have recieved them, still my g6 wont send the image.
This problem only happens on whatsapp aplication, I can use other apps ON DATA, like facebook messenger without problems.
I have verified my network APN, uninstalled whatsapp, cleared cache, clear data, checked on application permissions (and activated all), and factory format my celphone, with no results.
Also as the phone is unlocked I tried to use other carrier sim, with the same results, data works everywhere but in whastapp.
Im desperate! Does anybody know anything that my help?
Also, I have the bluetooth deffect, I have to pair my bluetooth device everytime for it not to bug and sound glitchy on my car.
