ROM Kernel 18538
Radio 1.51
is ok.
BTW, what is your x01ht's bootloader ?
it seemed 0182(mostly seen in White x01ht) cannot flash radio
Just flash till u r satisfied, there r no right or wrong rom or radio. Some rom have the features u want while some u don't, some r stable, while some r fast. So just flash around with so many of roms around.
Radio... anything but 1.54!
Yup . u need to flashed a few radio roms to find the one suited to your needs.
i've flashed 1.54.00.10 , 1.48.00.10 , 1.47.00.10 and 1.47.30.10 . my current radio is 1.47.30.10 as it gives good battery life and a bit better reception then 1.47.00.10. although 1.54.00.10 gives a much better reception it really drained the batteries. btw i'm on DiGi , got no change to test 3G yet....not for now.

Giving it to my bro .. and i wanted it to go back to how it came from Cingular i have Faria v5.0 with radio version 2.19.11 .. so can i just download the rom from the HTC and downgrade .. I know how to change the radio.. just need help with the rom !!!
or is there a better rom to put on this 8125
Just download the ROM from HTC and install it. It will overwrite everything back to 2.25, including the radio.

Well, "Is there a better ROM" is a loaded question. To get the phone back to approved Cingular status just go to either HTCamerica.net or cingular.com (which will eventually take you to HTC's site) and download the latest rom from them (though I think the carrier name on their site is now AT&T, at least it is for 8525's)
Is there any reason you don't want to give him the Faria Rom? If I were you I would just Hard Reset the device and give it to him with the current rom and radio that you have. They are more stable and less bogged down with bloatware than the stock Cingular Roms.
Yea i think im going to not going to downgrade.. is there a better rom from the one i have u recommend !!! i want to miss with the phone before i give it him... to see i like another rom ..

Faria's roms are top notch, you shouldn't need to find anything better. On the other hand there are other talented cookers on these forums that may have something more along the lines of your desires. Of course user interpretation of ROM quality is 100% subjective. Different people need/want different things, and prioritize the things they need differently. The only thing I can say is try the roms that appeal to you and then make your decision on your own criteria.
PLZZ Any One help me
My Cruise camera not work .. When i open it i see just Black
plzz any one help me or give me Rom or Redio Rom that fix this problem
If your just seeing black its most likely the radio.
We need to know what rom you are using to suggest a radio.
You will either than a 1.59 radio or a 1.58 radio.
Just search the forums there are plenty around, cant just expect everyone to do everything for you

My Dear .. Thanks for ur reply
I use c_shekhar_Pola_1.60.21014aCS_Build21014_Public
and Radio : Polaris_Radio_1.58.21.23
...
I hope So u can help me
Well according to the thread the radio is included in that ROM which strikes me as odd that the camera isnt working.
I would try flashing another rom, preferably one that uses a 1.59 radio.
No One Can help me ...
Oh My God
OK, was the camera working fine after you flashed c_shekhar_Pola_1.60.21014aCS_Build21014_Public ROM/Radio?
- if it was, and stopped working after a time, you camera is likely to be faulty, you might try flashing a ROM/Radio again just in case.
- if it wasn't, then the ROM/Radio combination don't work with your device, try another ROM/Radio(read the recommended one) combination.
like Drakh said, it best to restore original ROM (radio rom included) te test if it's a firmware problem.
In my case I had to return my device for warranty cause it was a hardware defect. (something with loose connection toward the cpu.)
They swapped the device.
install pcarvalho eXtreme ROM it includes radio & now its the best rom exist.
me got no problem.... its a Hardware problem
??
Or 3lite VI it comes with radio 1.65 inside...
Edit...: here is a download link:

Did you used the update from the HTC site? i remember when first bought the device and updated from there i had the same problem as u

You R not alone with these problems, I hardly returned back to original radio version and oridinal rom.
I change roms and radios many times and bluetooth with camera are lost forever.
1. I know exactly that is software problem, because camera stoped working after original upgrade direct from HTC
2. And bluetooth stopped after first radio change.
I have a feeling, there is no difference between Nokia and HTC about their quality. Only operational system makes difference
Just back to Rom ship because i got same problem and resolved now.
HelP..............................
Well I am in a dilemma weather to flash the 2.08.50.08 RADIO or not..!!!
I have 2.04.50.22_2 RADIO..!!!
So can you people who have flashed & checked out various RADIO's help me out..???
In short which is the BEST RADIO for HD2 now..???
i just bought my hd2 few days ago... with a 2 year warranty... but i so wanna change the rom with a cooked one and to change the radio...
regarding your question... i have the same dilema... I suppose that the newer the better... but still... different radio versions appear to different operators... so... isn't it possible that they are tweaked for them this resulting in bad quality with another operator?... just asking...
I wonder if it is worth to flas radio as well.
no, u dont really need to flash the radio too. maybe its cool to show some friends the RAM power the HD2 really has, but thats all.
i flashed the latest radio after i flashed a cooked rom... the handy was working, but telephone function was bugged, so i flashed latest radio.. and it worked well + 576mb ram
so only flash it if u have problems with your current radio..
u dont need 576mb ram, the 448mb are more than enough, u will never use every byte xD

thank you for the reply mate. I'm not going to then.
i have radio that came with that hotfix on htc page. can that ruin my guarantee?
i wonder if i it will help flashing a new radio with my battery life... now i unplug it at 0700 in the morning and at 0900, 1000 in the evening ițm bellow 5%... bummer... with data connection always on...
Don't fix what doesn't need fixing.
Or do it if you feel like it, but only if you are SURE it's not something over your head.
what is your avarage battery life?
Well just started usin the phone yesterday..!!!
LoLz..!!!
generally you need to update your radio if your going to use a newer cooked rom that needs it, if you don't upgrade your radio and you install a new rom, then odd's are good that you will not be able to boot your phone until you update the radio as well, if you like your phone the way it is dont worry, if you want to play with roms, make sure you can find a copy of your suppliers original rom so that you can always go back to that if you need to return it with a warranty issue, the manufacturers rom's generally flash the bootloader, the radio and the rom in one swoop, so you can go completely back to the way your phone was new, I just recently did this myself by flashing the telstra rom back onto the device from the microsdhc card... worked like a charm

i've read lots of articles on this site. i suppose i'll need to instal another rom on my phone. i read a lot but i get little confused. i think first i have to instal HardSPL (forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=653614) second i have to flash a radio and i can instal a rom. and on this page (forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=591784) it says i don't need to flash a radio. which means that i just install hardspl and instal this rom... am i right?
can you guys help me what am i suppose to do... and which version of hardspl, radio and rom works well for me?
sory to ask lots of questions but i don't know enough about wm phones ( thanks for guides...
Hi, basic steps are
1. Backup your important data like contacts etc..
2. Its very IMPORTANT that you Flash HardSPL first before flashing any ROM (No worries,it only needs to be done once for you to enjoy subsequent custom ROMs). Version 2.08.HSPL is ok.
3. Browse the threads for a suitable "TMobile HD2 compatible ROM" or visit this link for comfirmed ROMs.
4. Perform a Hard reset after successfully flashing any of the ROMs
5. Enjoy!
i suggest u clear your schedule, get coffee, tea, drink(s) and visit This Link . It contains info and links to all the guides you can possibly need to push you and your device to a higher level. i wouldn't recommend trying android till you are very comfortable with flashing ROMs.
you dont need to worry about the radio just yet, because since you have a tmous phone, it already has a radio that will work with all tmous compatible roms anyway.
Well I'm gonna just say right now I'm not an expert or anything since I'm relatively new too. I'm just trying to help, I would however advise wait for a more experienced person to answer.
First, if you want to flash a ROM follow this guide for the TMOUS HD2's. It goes over how to do it, which ROMs are compatible and all that.
Yes, you do have to get HSPL (except I think there are methods when you don't, though that might just be for the international phones...). But to get HSPL you should probably use this. I don't know if it is the only thing that does it but it, from what I understand, is the most well known. It also keeps you from "bricking" your phone.
From what I understand the only time you have to flash a radio is if the ROM needs it, and the chefs will say if it needs a certain one or list ones that it works with on their ROM page. I think most of them support the radio that comes stock, though don't take my word for it. I would wait for someone else to confirm or re-explain this paragraph because I'm not completely for sure.
As for which ROM is right for you...well only you can answer that. They all are different and different ones have advantages over the others. You just gotta explore a little and see what looks nice. This is the list of ROMs that support the T-Mobile HD2 so stick to it. I don't know how up-to-date it is (meaning I don't know if there are any new ones or not) but stick to those, you can "brick" your phone otherwise.
I would however advise if you're new to WM phones to try out themes first. They are a lot safer and I don't think there is any chance of ruining your phone (the only reason I flashed mine is because I've done it with a different phone before and felt comfortable doing it). Don't do anything you are uncomfortable doing and understand all the risks that go into anything you do to your phone before you do them.
Sorry for the long post, just hope this helps a little.
Edit:
I just got double ninja'd

That's d spirit...You'll be amazed @ what the search function on XDA coughs up...Everything'll go well once u stick to d guides and TMobile compatibie ROMs & Radios.
i picked up this rom (forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=652649) but there is two options. 1) com5(c5) 2)com2(c2). i don't know what it means... and if want to install one of these roms do i have to flash a radio after installing hspl?
and what is the stock rom?
thanks again...
It looks like COM5 and COM2 are just different versions. COM5 offers more options it looks like though, but I'm not sure. Someone else can probably answer that a lot better than me. I am also unable to answer the radio question. Sorry.
As for stock ROM though, that is the ROM that came already on your HD2 when you got it.

I see u picked out Kumar's ROM...Click Here for a thread on the definitions and differences between COMs...And No, you won't need to flash a radio after installing HSPL or a custom ROM (Unless you are having problems connecting to your network in which case, u need 2 be careful 2 flash a radio known to work with Tmobile HD2).
Stock ROM is the original/default ROM which TMobile shipped with your device. Follow this guide and you can grab the stock ROM from here. The Stock ROM has to be re-flashed to your device if u ever have to return it to Tmobile as flashing a custom ROM voids your warranty. Grab useful links and watch video tutorials here.
Hope dis helps ya.

Hi
I want to install Android on T Mobile Htc Hd2 having ROM 2.13.531.1 and Radio 2.10.50.26
So should i install Android build directly into the SDcard and it will work or i have to change Radio , ROM etc before installing Android .
Android booting off ur sd card should run with ur current WinMo ROM & if it doesn't then u can always flash another (there r really light builds out there), hweva u should upgrade ur radio to 2.15.50.(can't remember d last digits)....better compatibility issues.
Yeah if you want to run Android off SD just update your radio to 2.15.50.14. I remembered the last digits haha.
You need HSPL on your device to do that. Just look for 'HSPL4' (use search) and just download it from the thread and then boot to bootloader and flash it. Then flash the radio.

Well, there's always d risk of bricking your device and honestly i hold my breath most times while flashing (despite having flashed a lot of builds, only had 2 change radio once)....So u must understand d risk involved but i tell u, d dev guys put in a ton of work 2 give us dis options & i'm sure they might ave bricked say 1 or 2 devices during testing...but all's good
