voice messages - Mogul, XV6800 General

I have the HTC home on my mogul and there is no place that the voice messages are placed. Right below the clock is the emails, text messages, and a big red question mark with a zero next to it???? shouldnt there be a place that lets me know how many voice messages i have? and if so how do i fix it?

Dismiss text message instead of Reply

Anyone have the same complaint about when they get a text message your only option is to reply and then cancel if you want to get the notification to clear?
Also, if I have a missed call AND a voicemail, the notification at the bottom takes me to the voicemail before showing me how many missed calls I have.
Anyone know of any fixes to these? I have read wiki and tried to search, but no luck.
Thanks.
I get "Delete, Call Sender, Save as read, Dismiss".
What options do you get?
V
Using the Left Softkey I get Reply only, Right softkey comes up with the menu VJ lists, including the dismiss option.
Do you mean email messages?

Incoming Text Messages are not in the inbox??

Please pardon this posting (if this is an already known issue - it's 3.00AM and I've been combing the Herald threads for known issues but didn't see this on there)...
I got a new Wing today and after placing the SIM card in it, the phone works like one would expect until you try to send a text message. That never gets sent . What's more aggravating is the behavior on incoming text messages. The keys light up when I get a new text message and the counter on the home screen adds to the number of unread messages however, when I click on the link to attempt to view the messages, the inbox is blank. 0 messages in it. I have checked all the folders to no avail. Even a hard reset on the device doesn't seem to fix the issue. Am I missing something here? If so what??
FYI I called T-Mo support and their Tier 3 guy was stumped.
Here's the wierd thing while I was going through testing to validate that this was an actual issue, I did get the "incoming text message" bubble notification and from there, I clicked on Menu (from the home page) and was able to view the text messages - so they're somewhere in my phone, just not in the inbox - anyone have any idea where I can look?
*bump*
I'm having this problem now. Ever find the fix?

Couple questions about the Treo Pro...

Couple things i'm sure someone can help me with but first one is:
When I receive a txt msg and say im consistently chatting with someone. If i dont exit and reopen the message the amount of unread msg's starts adding up even though I'm in the conversation with them on the window. So eventually after like 20 txts between the person, I have to exit and reopen the message to show all the messages have been read. Its so friggin annoying!!! Any solutions?
Another thing I just cant figure out but if I have call waiting and I'm in a call, how the hell do I switch to the other line on this phone???? I cant figure it out.
1. Use your d-pad to scroll up in the SMS app to clear unread messages...
2. You just push the green talk button to flash to the other line.
Sweet... I cooked my phone with Cfays 6.5.1 ROM and its fixed in that... When you get like 5 txt msgs, u read it once and they're all marked as read.... so happy.

[Q] SMS Issues with phone numbers

Hi, I'm not sure is this has been answered or not but when i open a new sms and add the contact it will send the message fine. But when i go back to that same thread and try to send another message it wont send. I did notice that when I add the contact for a new message there is just their normal number no problem but once i leave that message and come back there is a "+" in front of the number and not allowing it to send. I'm not using any SMS apps or anything. So far this has only happened with 2 of my contacts. Ive gone into the contacts within my phone and gmail and there are no "+" in front of the numbers. Anyone know how to fix this??? Droid X
I have the same problem with one contact i just went arount the stock testing and set up a google voice for texting. one plus is i no longer need a unlimited texting plan just the 5.00 250 message plan.

[Q] Google Voice Issue - Unable to call from GV number

Has anyone been able to successfully make outgoing calls through Google voice on their Sony Ericsson Arc?
I've done some searches on Google and this forum and it appears others are experiencing the same issue but there isn't a workaround yet.
Thanks in advanced!
Yes, I have been able to make calls with the Voice Search function. It works very well, similar to Vlingo.
Simply say CALL 'contact name'. If the 'contact name' has multiple phone numbers(work, home, cell, etc) it brings up a pop up box and you select the one you want and it dials.
Or you can simply say CALL 'contact name' HOME and it will find the home number and dial it direct.
Now for my question in the Google Voice search. It has to do with sending an SMS message. I am using the stock SMS app. If you say TEXT "contact name" MESSAGE "how are you?" it will send a text message to your contact with the message "how are you?"
Your contact gets the message but a copy of what you sent is not in SMS for that contact. I tested this a couple of three ways. My contact gets my message just fine and I can get their response in SMS like a normal message but I can not see what I sent them. The only exception to this is if you are already in SMS and in the text box and using a keyboard (such as Swype) that has a microphone button, if you speak your message while in the text box it will save a copy of what you sent in the SMS.
Otherwise if you are outside of the SMS program and use the Voice Search to send a text message your contact gets the message but you do not get a copy of the text that was actually sent.
Anyone else try this yet?
Using voice control to start a call is not the same as using Google Voice to make a call - Google Voice is Google's VOIP service which can be integrated into Android handsets.
