I have been searching for days on numerous forums and have so far been unable to find any reference to this problem. So after following forum etiquette, I am finally posting this thread.
My clock has been displaying the extra 0 in front of a single digit time.. ex: 09:04 instead of just 9:04. My wife's Mogul still displays the time correctly, so I have no clue as to how mine changed to do this. It is very annoying, and I would sure like to know how to fix this.
Anyone? Thanks
James
You need to go to Settings -> System -> Regional Settings -> Time -> Time Style. Time style should be set to h:mm:ss tt. This will fix yours to get rid of that extra 0
Thanks.. found it and all is now well in this time zone!!
but why would anyone want to use 12 hour time??
because they want to....

This is my first post here and Ive run into some trouble. Ive got a Tmobile MDA which I unlocked and flashed to Cingulars 2.17 rom (I am with Cingular). Ive overclocked and changed the popular registry tweaks and its running great.
Problem is with my ringtone. Ive set an mp3 as a ringtone and it got moved to the phones memory. Okay got that part, but after a couple calls it reverts back to the crappy default ringtone. My mp3 is still in the list but it isnt set to ring anymore. This has been happening since I got it.
Also I cant get it out of military time. I found only one post reffering to this and I couldnt fix it on my phone. I went to settings/ system/ regional/ time and there is no option for changing it. Only for 00:00:00 and 0:00:00 time format. Both show 24 hour clock only.
Seems like simple problems but I cant find the answer anywhere, please help!

Go back to the same drop-down list and tap on the down arrow on the list to scroll down until you see h:mm:ss tt or hh:mm:ss tt. The lower case 'h', 'm' and 's' indicate 12hr clock format. Upper case letters which you initially saw are for 24hr clock format.
Thanks Keitaro! I only saw the 2 options and didnt notice it scrolled. Awesome! Now if my ringtone stayed put Id be set....for now
I have loaded the super rom and now my clock is in military time. Does anyone know how to change it to standard time.
Thanks.
Read the manual?
Seriously... read it...
Settings -> Regional Settings -> Time tab -> Time style... change to whatever you want...
Thanks for your pampas response.
I just figured it out in another area of the forums via google. I had to choose the lower case h in the time format.
Hi
I would like to change the "timeout settings for today". Right nu I can choose 1 to 12 hours, but I rather want to choose 5-60 minutes. Is this possible? I start every program from the today screen, using SPB pocket plus. I have search but didnĀ“t find anything that could help me
Hans
I also want to change the time-out setting for today on my HTC Touch Pro in 5 minutes. It must be as easy as updating the correct registry item.
Nobody a solution yeat for the above 1 month old request ?

hack "Today Timeout"
Is this thread still active or should I begin a new thread on the subject?
Is there a way to hack "Today Timeout" to timeout in minutes instead of hours? Or better yet, to get the PDA to always return straight to the Today Screen when powered on?
The Today Timeout (Settings>Personal>Today>Items) in Windows Mobile 6 goes down only to 1 hour. At the very least, I would like to be able to set the Today Timeout to 10 minutes or less.
By the way, I realize that On my HTC Diamond, if I have a security password set, it will always revert to the Today screen. I however do not want to use a password.
There are other threads but they don't quite address my issue:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-253896.html (What is "Today timeout"??)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-325946.html (Is this a Today bug?)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=416659 (Change timeout settings for today)
Anyone know how to do a registry hack on this?
Is there a way to change this?

Yes.
If you are asking how to change it, then the answer is: Start -> Settings -> System -> Regional Settings -> Time
Thank you very mutch
I've been trying to do this - I somehow managed it with my Diamond, but no luck with the HD yet - I'm trying to go the other way, from 24hr TO am/pm - but if UK English regional settings are selected, 24hr appears to be the only default option and there's no visibly simple way to switch it (unf... not that I've found at any rate)
Same problem
I want to switch to 24 hour clock. When I change it in the regional settings it does nothing for the touch flo 3d clock....
It should, are you using the stock ROM? Change it so you get a 24 hour clock in the title bar then soft reset and see if TouchFlo catches up.
in regional settings, goto tab: time,
time shoud be: HH:MM:ss
I'm sorry
I'm sorry,
What I meant to say, was that it changes to the 24 hour format but i thought 'HH' meant to have the leading zero for 00:00 - 09:00, instead i get 0:00 - 9:00.
Not a big deal...

In fact, the 2 "h" ("hh" or "HH") means to put a leading zero. The capital "H" instead means to use a 24 hour clock, rather than a 12 hour one (which is obtained through "h" or "hh").
So if you want a 2-digit, 24 hour clock, you should use "HH".
I had the same problem and this solved for me. Hope that it helps you too.

Anyone has any idea to switch to 12-hour clock with AM/PM for FLIP clock? I manage to do it for small clock (as well as everywhere else) but the flip clock just stays at 24-hour format even after changing Regional settings and NLS registry key.
I remember when I got the HD, the flip clock was in 12-hour format but after installing certain apps it converted to a 24-hour.
Ok a lot of fun can be discovered from changing registry entries and seeing what they can do. Here is a small guide:
If an entry has a 0 it means it is disabled or off. If it has a 1 it means it is enabled or on.
Remember and make a note of any change you make in case you need to put it back.
Search for common words in the entries and see what they relate to and if they can be changed Eg:
disable, enable, show, hide, lsk, sms, boost, cache, icon etc. Go through each one. Make any changes you want based on logic of the entry and reset maybe. Go to the app where you would expect to see the change and see if your tweak has worked. If not change the reg back again.
Report back here any discoveries or potential discoveries you come across and maybe we can give advice on what should be changed in the reg entry.
Be in the frame of mind you may need to do a hard reset as a last resort so back up PIM first.
I will make a list of new potential tweaks soon and maybe someone could advise on how we can change it. Any changes found will be added to the hints and tips thread.
Here are a few to get started. Please respond with ideas if you can help and submit your own findings too.
1. HKCU\Software\HTC\WebSnapShot
Enabled currently set to 0.
Which app would use this if we enabled it?
2. HKLM\Drivers\BuitIn\GSensor
EnableShaking currently set to 0.
Sounds useful somewhere.
3. HKLM\Services\MyPhoneService
IsEnabled currently set to 1.
If we disable this if we don't use MyPhone will this free up some services/resources/memory?
4. HKLM\Software\HTC\Camera\Common
DisableCapAnimation currently set to 1.
I presume this means some sort of caputre animation when taking a photo (like the iphone when the iris closes). I tried setting this to 0 to enable it but saw no animation when I took the photo. Maybe something else needs to be done.
5. HKLM\Software\HTC\HTCMessaging
DisableCacheWhenLengthierMessage currently set to 1.
This mean cache is off with long sms messages. If we turned on cache would this be good?
6. HKLM\Software\HTC\HTCMessaging
ManilaEntry currently set to 0.
I set this to 1 but could not find any change. Maybe I am looking in the wrong place.
7. HKLM\Software\HTC\HTCSettings_Improvement
HavePersonalSecurity currently set to 0.
I have set this to 1 and a new option suddenly appears in the Manila Settings tab below About Phone option. It is ABPS, ISP, network location service (Personal Info Center). However tapping on it does not open it up. Hmmmm...
8. HKLM\Software\Tegic\T9
Prediction is currently set to 0.
I thought T9 prediction is already part of it? What could this do if we turned it on?
9. HKLM\Services\Windows Live\Plugins\Mail
Max Mail Headers currently set to 50.
Dy defualt Hotmai only downloads the last 50 messages. I tried changing this entry to 75 but no luck. Anyone else?
Anyone want to get involved? I think it could be a good challenge and we may discover a gem of a tweak.
