SOME ONE PLEASE HELPPPPPP...

It's a hardware thing
As I understand it, WM5/6 drivers can't allow recording without it coming out the speaker. Even then it's not that great. I use LivePVR - I think they have a decent explanation on thier site.

it does exist.
but unforunatly i don't know the name anymore.
i used it in an ipaq h6340, working great but using alot of memory therefore not usable on the ipaq
Did you find software to record a call ?
Ralph
search for mp3 notes....
that was the only software that used to work for me (on my hima)
San
you used to be able to record calls by going into notes and then start recording while on a call, just tried it now and it just records as normal and not tha call, oh well.
DONT FORGET TO GET THE OTHER PERSONS PERMISSION BEFORE RECORDING THERE VOICE THOUGH, LOL
1) Resco Audio Recorder 32
2) PM Recorder(freeware)
built in feature, just hit notes when you are in call, and at the bottom is a tool bar with record on it.

Not correct, the Universal only records your voice when recording, not the person that you are talking to.
It records both sides on my exec. Just that the voice of other side is low compared to mine

Same is with my BA. The voice of the other person is faint, while, my voice is TOO loud !!
Why don't you guys do a search first?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=40100&highlight=
It is faint because it is not really trying to record the other person !! Your mic just happens to be so close to your speaker that it can just about hear it !!! in fact I guess proof of that would be, it working perfectly (both sides of the conversation) when in speaker phone mode !!
^^weird since I use my wired handsfree...

Call Recording - Time to beat commercial apps.

Guys, I have tried all the solutions for call recording be it Vito Audio Notes, Resco Audio Recorder, LivePVR but no one works fine. They aren't able to record the other party voice unless on speakerphone. So, I thought why not beat those commercial apps and develop a better free solution. Unfortunetly, I dont know much programming, But I know who can do this, yes its you xda-developers. So, gear up to be superior as ever.

Please follow my articles - in them, I've discussed this problem a lot. You will NOT be able to record the other party. Sorry, it's a hardware (or at least API) restriction.
You could use a pc mic next to your ear and record it to a pc. But you have to have a pc nearby.
Here is an imaginative workaround:
Is it possible to redirect from speaker phone to a bluetooth headset?
Something like this:
http://www.freewareppc.com/communication/bluetoothaudio.shtml
Or search "BT Toggle", I am sure there is something like that in modaco.com
Then modify the tool to "capture" + "redirect" to BT

The TeekSoft(?) folks behind many cool utilities have tried this VERY hard - without any success. That is, it's too impossible.
simply not true

I use pm recorder on my tytn...works flawlessly. However it does not record the other party when using a bluetooth headset and you do not have to have the phone on speaker mode to record the other party.

The lack of BT recording means it's still the mike that is picking up the voice of the other party and there's no direct access to it. That is, the results are inevitably far worse than direct access.
hmmm, i can't make PMRecorder work on my Kaiser, the recordings are empty, not even my voice is in them......

give a try to other recorders. (BTW, AFAIK the Kaiser isn't able to record the other party either, so, it's pretty much useless to even give it a try.)

Call recording - does Touch HD's hardware allow?

As title really.
I've done a search on the forum and it seems there is software available that will record calls, but this will only work if the hardware itself supports it. Does anyone know if the Touch HD will work with any software to support call recording?
The other work around I discovered doing a search on the forum was to put the phone into speakerphone mode and use call recording software, but this is obviously not ideal.
So, what's the best way to record calls on the Touch HD?
Thanks

You got it in one. Thats currently the only way.
Not quite
Resco Audio recorder works fine for me, once configured it collects all calls as mp3's in a folder of your choice (e.g. on sd).
it's not freeware though, but no speaker needed.
Not technically sure about the Blackstone, but I have both a Polaris and Raphael. I've seen comments about both of those phones being unable to record, yet I've never had a problem recording with VITO Audio Notes (without using the speakerphone trick). It's also a commercial product. If both of those phones can do it, I would suspect the Blackstone is probably also capable.

Thank you for helping my friend.
Excuse me if this sounds rude but that is a 20 page thread that I don't have time to look through unfortunately. Could you please point me to the page that has the relevant instructions?
Thanks

@speed_pour,
Please can you explaine the speakerphone trick, I also use vito audio notes! Today I see this trick, without using the speakerphone, for the second time also in this post, but I have no idea how it works!
I can only record both voices when I activate speakerphone in settings, if I don't, I only can record my own voice during a call????!!!!!
Thanks in advance!

Don't know what to tell you, I just made a call 5 minutes ago on that phone, and without turning on the speakerphone it's still got both voices on there. The other side's voice is much lower volume, but it can't be sound bleeding over because it also works when I'm using a bluetooth headset.

I can hear both sides of the call clearly.
And its still on the market place for 5 bucks.
As long as Android doesn't provide the necessary API's, you won't find a decent solution.
