So who have you or will preorder with?

It seems Best Digital offer the chepaest price and also HTC Direct. I am wondering if it is best to order through HTC Direct rather than someone I never heard of (Best Digital) in case you need a refund or return.
Also the shops in Tottenham Court Road in London may be a good place to buy and haggle for cash but I am guessing if a fault devleops in the phone, they won't exchange or give you hassle unlike dealing through reputable companies like Play.com, HTC Direct etc etc. I want to pay under £450 as over £500 is way too much for a phone.
I so want one now and HTC Direct says they will get stock in in under 2 weeks (31st Sept) whereas others say mid November. I have told myself after buying this phone I wont buy another phone again as this really seems to the best phone ever in what I want from a phone.
I just don't know who to preorder with or just wait and haggle in Tottenham Court Road.
Who are you pre-ordering with or have you already preordered?

BTW, it looks that they updated the delivery date to early november for the english version, up to end of november for the italian version...keep ready...

Never dealt with HTCdirect, and just in case you were wondering, they are NOT htc themselves, they are just a shop.
Expansys are usually ok, apart from the odd occasion where they buy dodgy grey import stock and sell them to get to the market early, and you end up with warranty issues.
Devicewire.co.uk are owned by brightpoint so they are usually pretty quick out of the gate with stock, and a good guide for the proper retail price and release date.
If you want to buy on TCR in London, then INKINO is your best bet. they are very good and knowledgeable and happy to help. There is another one around there that is owned by handtec (I think) and they can't get you out of the door fast enough once they've taken your money, and refuse to do anything to help if there's a problem. Best to avoid them like the plague....!

My preorder has been in with Clove.co.uk for weeks now (over a month). It was £590+ (inc. tax) when I placed the order and it has dropped to £523 inc. tax now ....I hope they charge me the lower price when they do finally ship!

They buy their stock from Brightpoint UK, so they nearly always say the day after devicewire/Brightpoint....Surprised they haven't updated their date to the 1st of November yet. These two companies are only a couple of miles apart in Bournemouth and Poole.

I'll probably be ordering with Expansys USA.

I ordered at expansys germany. I guess they will be the first to get HTCs new device..

Amazon.de has a very good price. The guys from a german o2-Shop said, that the HD will cost about min. 700,- Euros without a contract.

I don't know who are you guys going to preorder the Touch HD from but I just saw a broshure from one of the big mobile phone sellers here in Bulgaria and the HD was listed as avaliable and at a good price!!! 1299lv. Or 650 Euro! This is verry interesting and I'll check it monday when the shops open! Keep fingers crossed!

I get mine as a present, but know that official German retail is 660 euros. So Amazon incl. shipping is not too bad. I hope the HD lives up to its promises, since it marks my return to the WinMobile world, after exiting with Tytn I.

Play.com have changed the price of this handset a few times over the past 4 weeks - it was £549, then £499, then went back up to £519 last week.
£474.99 with the discount code is probably the best price for the time being.

It seems as the 8GB microSD card is not included in teh play.com deal...

hold on, they also don't mention the pouch (case), additional stylus and screen protector. Does anyone know if play.com just forgot to add these items to the list on their website, or do they actually remove it from the box prior to selling ???

I assume that all these items are part of the standard kit for the HD.
I've seen a couple of unboxing videos and they all seems to include these items.
I've placed an order with them - hopefully it'll arrive within the next couple of days so I can report back to you then.

I would assume you will get the standard box contents including 8GB card, Pouch, Stylus, Screen Protector, etc.

But why is the 8gig not included? All HTC Touch HD euro boxes include a memory card by default. The fact that the boxes are not factory sealed or shrinkwrapped means Play.com can remove the memory card and resell it and charge you seperately for it. If they are doing this, then that is totally dishonest.

Just out of curiosity can someone confirm whether the actual Touch HD box states that there is an 8GB micro SD card included in the box?
I'm guessing that maybe the staff at play.com are just going by what it says on the box

I placed my order on Friday. According to the online status it's been dispatched by Parcel Force. I expect delivery to be within 2-3 days.

I ordered my first one on the 2nd November and can see from the tracking number that delivery will likely be tomorrow...but I am going to refuse to accept that one from Parcel Force and they can send it back to Play.com, because they reduced their price and refused to refund me the difference.
So I re-ordered with the RAC voucher for £475 as opposed to the original £520 Hope to get the 2nd one I ordered maybe Thursday/Friday? I too will be disappointed if they have removed the memory card, that is bordering on stealing lol.

[INFO] UK/EU Keyboard Dock Availability and Tracking Thread

Just thought i'd get this thread started. No sites found so far.

It's on websites, it just comes back as not existing. So far seen it on the following sites:
Comet: http://www.comet.co.uk/p/Tablets/buy-ASUS-Eee-PAD-TRANSFORMER-BUNDLE-Tablet/717711 which says discontinued but isn't available through normal product selection I found it via google. The product code 717711 is however the code on their systems.
PC World: It's available to select but then says it's no longer available
Amazon: Released June 1st
Laskys: Showing as Temporarily out of stock
Will follow this and update if either Comet or PC World receive any next week as I get 10% off both through my work so only really checking them. I have a mate who's a sales manager at the local PC World store and is going to phone head office and find out what's happening so will let you know when I hear.

Ebuyer.com also have the bundle on their website, with the same ETA as amazon.co.uk: 1st of June
It shows up on amazon.fr with a "coming soon" message.
A lot of Swiss websites have it listed (digitec.ch claims a late June date ETA for the dock, while others have a late May date, around 27-31).
Just a suggestion: it would be nice to modify the first post in this thread to include links to all websites listing it along with the ETA currently announced on each of them.

I hate to contradict you but nobody is selling the bundle in Europe as of now. They have it listed on their site but it's either not available for order or you can just pre-order (with an estimated availability date of 1st of June). The dock itself I've only seen in Switzerland, at digitec.ch, for 129 Swiss francs (~100 EUR, ~90 GBP).

That's what I meant, I know they don't ship the bundles out yet.
Thanks for the tip, Digitech seems to have a reasonable price. Downside is availability expected late June. Hopefully in those two months I've obtained one already!

laskys.com have both the tablet only and the bundle in stock, for those of you living in UK. They don't do international shipping unfortunately

Comet are now showing delivery in 10 days of the bundle?

Comet are selling the bundle again for delivery on the 16th of May.

Asus Finland confirmed on a email that transformer Scandinavian keyboard should be coming out May.
Verkkokauppa.com is saying that they will have 16GB transformer+scandi keyboard package in 3-5 weeks.

I have just ordered with Comet for delivery on the 16th of May and cancelled my Amazon preorder as they still cannot say when they will be able to supply my order. I asked them where I was in the preorder queue to get an idea of timescale and they said they couldn't even access that information - useless.
At least if I have an issue with the unit supplied from Comet I can take it back to my local store as opposed to having to send it away to Amazon and wait for weeks.

Good find on Comet, I'll go in the local store tomorrow and see if they've got an update on stock coming in to the store as my discounted vouchers can't be used online.

Went into Comet today and got my first hands on with the tablet only and has confirmed I definitely want one I managed to connect it to my SGSII WiFi and gave the guy the product code for the bundle so he checked on the system which said stock is coming into the distribution center on 10th so will be in store by 16th or 17th which is why delivery from the site is that date too.

Anyone who ordered dock from Asus got it yet or been informed when they will receive it

Good lookin out. However I was on an Australian forum...you'll have to Google search Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 forum to find it but there were a few members that found Australian retailers selling below $500.
For you prospective US buyers, Negri so far has had the lowest price I've found (their price include shipping) and is in the $570 range. Still pricey.
But really not much more than the 8.9 and you get so many more features on the 7.7.
I'm ordering this tab this weekend....can't wait finally to have it in my hands!!!

It was at my house in 3 days as they ship fast.
The part that Negri doesn't mention is it's the Hong Kong version and doesn't come with a US AC plug adapter.I already had one so no big deal for me.

Guess I should have clarified that I got the P6810 for that price. Just checked Negri and you are correct that the P6800 is about $100 more.

There are a few reputable sellers listing the 6800 on ebay now.

Also since it's the Asian version, I guess it comes with Chinese language as the default? A setting change I presume at set up. However do you know if the keyboard will be in Chinese as well?
They say they are sending directly from Nevada, so I am in Florida right now...will see how long it takes.
For those of us with the WiFi only, an option you have is to get a personal "MiFi" hotspot. I got mine as a pay as you go device from T-Mobile. I can connect at 4G LTE speeds most of the time with my old tablet. I just top off the MiFi when I know I will be on the road.

I had a US power adapter included with my purchase given to me by the cell dealer.
Also once the settings change has been made everything including the keyboard will switch to the selected language.

I payed with GOLD-Mastercard so im always able to get money back

Thanks! I actually mentioned that being the Asian version of the 7.7 it would require a U.S, AC plug adapter. Negri said they would include it in the box with the tablet.
I got confirmation of the order, and confirmation of the shipping with a FedEx tracking number. I should receive the tab on Thurs 1/26. This is within the time expected for the "free" shipping option I chose when I ordered from Negri.
I also ordered the OEM Samsung case for the 7.7. Thanks for the recommendation on that vendor (http://www.thecellguru.com/Products/62515) it wwas the best price as well. Also got an order confirmation and shipping tracking order from them as well.

I ordered my original SGT 7" from Simply Electronics. They were the cheapest place at the time. I think I paid around $630 last year. Anyway, I received it very fast by DHL.
My only problem/concern was that they don't tell you that the item is coming to you from Hong Kong. I had a problem with one that I bought from eBay first that I thought was coming from the U.K. It had a lot of Korean Apps. I think that it had been flashed as the package came from Slovakia.
So, when I got the one from S/E, and saw that it also had a lot of Korean Apps on it, I contacted them and they said that they try to send version that are for the correct country. They also offer a one year warranty. The only problem was that I had sent both of my tablets to Samsung Repair Centre in the U.K. to have them flash it to the correct English versions(I bricked the first one by flashing the wrong CSC).
So, just from my experience, I didn't have any problems and had I not already sent it back to the U.K. to have them officially flash them(Yes, I do know how now , I could have sent it back to Simply Electronics and they would have sent me a U.K. version. So, I think they are pretty legit from my experience. As they always say, YMMV.

I just pulled the trigger and bought a 64gb version like 20 minutes ago through their black friday no invite deal. They could have sold out since though. Good luck.

problem solved, i just signed out and than i was able to buy

same as you mate, its saying processing still and i bought it saturday night. 16gb.

I'm on shipment pending. Sadly I only got the 16gb as the 64gb was sold out....

I ordered in 17 Dec, still pending shipment since then !!!!

Same thing here bud, i ordered mine on Dec. 18 still pending shipment. Gosh i am dying for it to say "shipped"

I ordered mine early on the 17th and it has gone from pending shipment to processing.

I ordered mine in the evening on the 17 Dec and still says pending shipment.
