Bluetooth Gamepad Blues... - Mogul, XV6800 General

I've purchased the BGP100 bluetooth gamepad. I have the latest software for my phone, I have a mogul. The software installs, my phone even finds the remote, but the software tells me that the remote isn't supported. I read through the manuals that came with the installation program, and the closest match I see would be the 6700.
It is supposed to work for WM5 phones. Anyone have any ideas?

Microsfot Wireless Bluetooth intelli explorer mouse & JA

can this be done?
my magician detect the intelli mouse, but can do nothing with it...
cant also use the "stowaway think outside mouse" drivers since they detect only the Stowaway mouse... also couldnt use the IFrog Bluetooth keyboard drivers, even though they support HID detection...
can someone know how to connect between these two?
any news on that... i´m trying to use intellimouse explorer, too... no luck...
someone out there to patch the Thinkoutside drivers ?
I saw somebody saying that the widdcom BT stack supported the mouse...
I dont know if its true, but to find out id have to intstall a new OS (im on 2005) and hack around with BT stacks...
Id rather just hear from somebody running the 2.02/2.06 sin merged rom with the widdcom stack to see if it works. But i guess there isnt anybody with that combination and a BT mouse too.
Magician only...
i ment it to work on the magician.
do you have a magician?
I have a german magician,
neither ms bt mous nor ms bt keyb works!
maybe we should state out that bluetooth firstly only specifies the way how information is being transferred: via radio in a certain frequency - nothing else!
It does NOT determine the way how the transferred information is being interpreted. Lets say when you connect your monitor to the vga connector it is already clear what signals are transferred and how they are read out to compose the picture on the screen.
In other cases (e.g. tracking the mouse movements) we must specify before any exchange of data how is will be interpreted. This is done in so called protocols also known as 'profiles' when you speak of protocols in connection with bluetooth devices.
This means that a bt mouse will be detected (this is standardized) but your device will not know how to interpret the data which is being sent from your mouse unless it supports the matching profile (should be 'HID' - Human Interface Device protocol in this case).
The hardware support of the bt hardware itself plus the additional profiles is called a 'stack'. On Magician you will find the original Microsoft BT stack which lacks of many profiles. It has turned out that other stacks like the one from Toshiba or Widcomm also work (more or less) on Magician. Maybe these ones support your hardware. Let me advise you that there are still many issues with alien stacks so dont install these unless your absolutely sure what youre doing!
Hope that i could make things a little bit clearer for you.

Quappo
Great!
Could we pin this post within the board so it stays on top or - maybe the better solution - could we publish it in the wiki? I guess that's the best newbie explanation of bluetooth I ever read... 8)
Great post, quapo! 8)
Still no HID driver for PPC
Great Answer!!!! ;-)
OK, i knew all that.
still no answer...:-(

Anyone tried teh ir range for use as a TV remote control?

I know most PDAs only have a small IR range. Has anybody tried the wizzard with one of the many pocket pc remote control software? What was your range like?
I tried noviiremote deluxe and right when i opened up the app it told me that the wizards device is incompatible with the program. so i guess wait for an update on that app, but they're many more remote control apps. give some of them a shot and see for yourself maybe?

No other remote app will work - none of them supports the TI CPU. You may want to check out http://pocketpcmag.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=17874 for more info.
THat's annoying. On my old SE P800, the tv remote worked srom as far away as I could get, come 8 meters!
There is also something else why remote control software won’t work.
IR-DA hardware is not compatible to work as a remote control transmitter because it is mend to be for data communication between two IR-DA devices.
But if your PDA can do it anyway then there is extra hardware build in to do this.
The HP2210 can do this and it worked wonderful.
I’ve been in several waiting room where televisions where shouting all the time. And with the 2210 I could switch them off or lower there volume

controll my universal with another ppc?

So I have a Universal and a Wizard. I prefer the Universal to use as MP3 player cause it has a normal headphone jack so i can use my Sony headphones rather than the crappy headphones that comes with the wizard. The only thing is that the universal lack of hardware buttons and its hard to reach them while in my pocket cause the universal is abit big. I've done some research before to find a "media remote control" for my universal like on the psp or minidisc. Since I coudnt fint it i bounced into that credit card sized mini bluetooth keyboard! Since the keyboard is that expensive and i dont need a BT keyboard... made me come on the idea of using the wizards keyboard and/or hardware buttons to controll my universal via BT. So my question is, is there such app to do this? I've been searching on google but only fond VNC and TSC like apps, and I couldnt find anything either on this forum. I hope someone can help me out [:
im not sure about ppc but if you pair the universal and a se k700i you can control the universal with it using the remote control app that comes with it
Get something like this:
http://www.usglobalsat.com/item.asp?itemid=98
You can control your Uni's media player and can use your custom SONY headset.
Also, there is other similar product which I like better (look for the R35):

bluetooth keyboard (hp foldable bt kb) on htc touch dual (niki)

i'm a real fan of my bt foldable bt keyboard by hewlett packard. use it often and with satisfaction on my hp hx4700 WITH WIFI... was hoping i could get my touch dual to work as a modem for my hx4700 but haven't succeeded so far. no problem since i can do the same in large mail messages and such on the touch. just make sure to carry both. problem is that i can't get the bt keyboard connected. the hp drivers don't allow installation and seem to be hp signed. anybody have a suggestion? is the hp a 3rd party branded bt keyboard so that i can use independent drivers? the td doesn't seem to recognise the keyboard when it is mdae discoverable. like to keep both and have great memories of working over a nokia umts connection on the large hx4700 display albeit only wm5. gave me the opportunity to drive communication cost for my (former - no relation) employer to the fullest by doing terminal server sessions for troubleshooting whilst on vacation. without a modem or a decent keyboard i can not do this anymore with just the hx4700. wardriving or unapproved use of open networks is illegal in most of europe nowadays. in the Netherland not yet and it really suits me to roam in on somebodies open connection, but i'm affraid i have to go find other means of communications and the td has been the wrong choice from this point of view.
did you try bluemouse already? should work with every bluetooth-hid. also keyboards.
Too bad. looks good, but installer flashes by with some text stating "skipping...". too fast too read. whenever i pair the bt keyboard i get a serial port as interface but no bluemouse to be found anywhere in the menu;s or folders. seems bluemouse thinks it shouldn't be installed on this wm6. however it shows the license agreement at start and the read me when done.
further investigation learns that the installer finishes when using the cab download and installing both modules separately. reading the docs shows that the hid device should export input device service. the bt keyboard at hand only exports serial port... anybody got suggestions?
