Alpine update on WiKi

Has anyone tried this update and if so how did you install it?

Is this the recent PDA2 I-mate rom upgrade?

To be honest, I don't know.
I thought the i-mate rom was in a different format - not cabs. It didn't work on my 2i with tomtom either so I had to downgrade back to the original rom.
Does anyone out there know for sure?

I have a i-mate JasJar and some know issues as memory bug, wireless problem and other things:evil::evil:.
My question is: should i upgrade my JasJar with QTEK or XDA rom ?
If yes, is this possible or it will avoid the warranty ?

I got a Qtek 9000 and I don't have any problem with memory bug or wireless :?: What kind of problem do you have :?:
For your warranty, I'd say 'yes', your are going to lose it... except if you flash your original ROM back if you need to send your JasJar where you bought it :wink:

Wireless problem i mean that my bluetooth sometimes quit itself.

But in your case, you should maybe update only the Radio part :?:
I use a Logitech bluetooth headset everyday, I've never lost my connection to it...

Search more and you'll find 02.07.10 which brings stability against PowerOn->RadioReset bug and best EDGE performance so far

is this I-mate rom update, and if so how can i update that on Qtek 9100 cuz i tried and it said its not the rite device, is there something that I m doing wrong thanks

Imate JAMin downgrade WM6 to WM5

HI,
I had spent lot of time searching for WM6 ROM for my imate ,while doing that I came across Qtek ROM namedas WM6 . After installing i came to know that it was a WM5 rom named as WM6. But i didnt gave up and after searching XDA i got actual WM6 rom and I uploaded it. The Version details of WM6 are :
ROM version 4.0.0.0 WWE
ROM Date 2/15/07
Radio Cersion 02.47.21
Protocol Version 4.1.13.24
Ext ROM version 4.0.0.0.3 PDAViet
But now i want to downgrade back to Imate WM5 original ROM. Kindly help me getting that done.

i have a JaMin 2 and i wasn't able to downgrade to the original I-mate Rom but u can downgrade to the NoID WM5 which is better than I-mate Rom

Thanks for such a quick reply. Also i would like to know what are the steps to be folowed whiles downgrading. I mean do i run NoID ROM first and then execute Enterbootloader.exe and then Romupdate utility for my G4. Kindly excuse if u find my questions silly, since i have not much knowledge into all this and i am only being concerned about my Imate.

I have the same problem...I cannot hear anything or any body can not hear me...But the thing is that the speaker does play the ringtone when sombody is calling me so the speaker is ok...PLz help..

i also face the same problem, my rom is WM6 fantastic b4, but after few times hard reset and soft reset and leave it for overnight all back to normal again... sometimes still cannot hear the caller voice.. i just soft reset again..... still no permanent solution yet...
one of the senior member suggested to re flash the ROM... but i'm still not sure how to do it

please help me....my xda is crashed down! it is a crazy problem! if launched an emulator for c64 games and after ending this software nothing works--->softreset--->now i have only 2 icons in windows tasklist (today and coldinit) camara, comm manager dosent work, nothing works!
now i want to upgrade my neo to a newer version but what is the best version?
please please help me....you guys here are the only persons who can help me!

The newest official o2 ROM is the 2.15.447 from o2 homepage: o2 Online
And the really latest german ROM is the Qtek 2.20.739 ROM: Qtek [email protected]
P.S.:
The best way to get your device working again is to make a Hardreset!
