I have a D810 (Trinity whatever name you want to give it)
I also have a bluetooth headset in my Motorbike helmet.
So I get off the bike i head into the office, put all my crap down and start my days work.
The Phone rings (Or I ring someone on it) And I get...
SILENCE!
why?
Because all of teh sound is going to the helmet.
so I could sling the helmet on (In the middle of the office) or I could pul up the Start menue, select today, hit the comm manager and turn off bluetooth (Or put the comm manager on the start menu)
Has any one who makes skins for the dialer considered putting the comm manager Blutooth toggle button on the dialer so someone can just say nope, no blutooth for this call?
Hi Falcon-Lord,
Not sure which rom you have installed, but when your in a call - if you hit the right soft key you should see something along the lines of "Turn Hands-free On" or if it is connected an option "Turn Hands-free off".
Correct me if im wrong but it should be like the 4th option after hitting the right softkey during a call. (Option list is even there if your not in a call but in the dialer screen).
Or you could download my Bluetooth toggle which adds a menu item that turns on and off bluetooth.

Thanks for this convenient item. I think it will be very useful!
Cool, thanks guys, context menu toggle looks like the go.
Will remember the soft button as an option as well.

Say i turn the phone on, enable bluetooth, sync the head phones, start a conversation...
when i finish a conversation through the headphones - i close the ppc.
then, if i want to use it again i have to turn the phone on, goto bluetooth settings / bluetooth manager and press "bluetooth ON"
i want my b.t to stay on all the time.
so whenever i fire it - it will connect.
(i already changed the reg so instead of the voice dialer - pressing the multi-function button will just connect the headphones so ill hear music, talk, hear everything ect....)
any 1?
Hey you guys…
I’ve got a question…
Is there an app whcich will toggle Bluetooth on when you enter the telephone function of the wizard?(ei. Press the green button) and that toggles Bluetooth on when there is an incoming call?
Then again turns blutooth off when you end the call and telephone app. :?:
Tomtom also toggles Bluetooth on when you launch the app, and it would be nice that you don’t have to manually toggle Bluetooth on when you get an ioncomming call in your car, or when you want to make a call in your car.
This way you can save battery life, because Bluetooth isn’t permanently on, and it turns on when you need it…
Is there such an app, or is this impossible….
Anybody? :?:
Maybe phonealarm can do it. It can definatly switch different profiles like home, car etc. and within the profile you can launch programs, turn on/off bluetooth/hifi
http://www.pocketmax.net/phoneAlarm.htm
[edit] I should add that WM5 support is still in beta at the moment [/edit]
Okay, but I don't think that you cange a profile when you enter a car, because I just put the phone on a charger, and use a Jabra headset, so no professional carkit.
It would be nice if there's an app that switches bluetooth dependent on another app, not on a profile...
But I'll look into phonealarm...
Thanks, anybody else got an idea?

One reason I didn't keep phone alarm is because it didn't quite do what I was looking for. It was closer than everything else I've found, but seemed to slow my whole experience with my phone down.
Maybe someone like vijay555 might make something that'll do that.
I have got into the habbit of useing my BT headset when getting into the car and turning it off when I get out. I plug my phone into the car to keep it topped up, so using extra power isn't a problem.
I had a |Plantronics bluetooth headset which connected as soon as it was turned on. I now have an iTech S35 Bluetooth stereo headset. This won't automatically connect. I have to go through all the menus to select as wireless stereo and handsfree - a total of 9 taps!
Not sure if this is the fault of my device or the headset.
Anyone know how to get them to connect automatically?
happens to me too although i have different make of headsets... dunno the cause either what i do is delete the partnerships and reestablish them. I do this everytime I get the iffy behavior. so it's no big deal.
I have the same problem with my jabra BT620s headset. It connects it self as a Bluetooth handsfree and can use voice dialing, but It doesn't connect automatically as a wireless headset. I have to go to Wireless Manager and set it there...
Any way to make it automatically... or at least with a use of a simple click?
hmmm... known issue on the BT620s, however the fact that the iTech clip is also affected is new to me. Quite frankly, I'd never asked.
There are several headsets that don't have the issue, but its about 50/50.
I've been having a similar problem with Lubix NC1s (btw, had the problem on my MDA too).
Until I know a permanent fix, I've used iLauncher to place a Bluetooth icon on the System Tray, so at least I can get to the device profile in 2 clicks.

This is using iLauncher from SBSH:
Under Settings>Shortcuts you can select "* Shell Tray Tab *" as your tab, then "Add" Bluetooth from "Cpl Applets".
One click opens Bluetooth Settings, then click on Devices.
Ah Ha! Done it, Thank you.
I often wondered how you got shortcuts on the bottom tray!
thanks
With the iTech you have to press the MFB buttton (the flashy one) once it is turned on to connect it. Bloody stupid I know. I don't turn it on to watch the light flash, I turn it on to connect it to my device.
Hi-I tried this with a trinity and itech and a single press of the button just activates voice dial then disconnects. Any ideas?
Sorry just re-read, I have an R35, thought you did too. You could try the Bluetooth audio routing program from below, there's a program & a separate today screen plugin version:

Not sure if it'll work or what the quality may be like but its worth a stab.
instructions with Bluetooth X5
For those that have a Tytn and Blueant X5 (with the latest firmware)
- turn on bluetooth on tytn and the X5
- quick-press volume up and down buttons -> Done (you might have to have your bluetooth in discoverable mode -> not sure)
BTW - Blueant X5 are fantastic - I have had it for over a year; and now about 5 of my work colleagues bought them too.

I have an iTech S38 and it works the same with the MFB button. If it does not work for you (ie when you press it you just get voice command) then I think it's a rom issue, not the headset itself. Ie, the bluetooth stack is not recognising the request to connect from the headset.
Try A2DPToggle

Can also be made to work with one button press using mortscript.

Heyup all,
Not from a programming background, but am IT competent to feel free to throw anything my way in response to this:
I've got a pair of bluetooth speakers. Normally I run my THD with bluetooth off to save battery. When I want to connect to the speakers I launch comm manager, turn bluetooth on, then launch bluetooth settings, press and hold on my speaker icon and set "use as wireless stereo". Then I quit those two and launch my music player (kinoma freeplayer).
Basically I'm lazy and would like to know if it's possible in winmob to write some kind of script that will do all the above for me from one icon?
Hi, I'm not a script writer but I suspect you might be able to do this in AEB+ which has some advanced features I have not used. I think you should be able to set up a sequence of events and assign this to a button press combination.
One of the biggest things I'm missing, compared to my regular mobile phone, is a clear status indicator whether the phone call I'm about to make or pick up will be routed through my headset or not. The bluetooth icon in the top taskbar is shown no matter if a headset is connected, it just denotes "bluetooth is active"; e.g. my headset is off now and the icon is still there.
If I go to the dialer screen, I can type a number and press "dial", but I do not know if the connection with the headset is active. So I'm often going like "where are you" putting the headset and phone against my ear trying to figure out where the audio is going. There must be a way to show that information on the startscreen and dialerscreen.
I am not exactly sure what you mean. But on my set, whenever I connect a headset (bluetooth or wired) an icon appears on the taskbar, even when I use the dialer. There I know that I am using headset. The icon goes off when the headset is disconnected.
Simple: I do not have that icon. If you also have the same phone; how does that icon look? Maybe I'm overlooking it.
I did ask HTC about such an icon and they said that is wasn't available. So I'm curious how your icon looks.

The icon is the same as in the manual. If you do not have the manual, download from www.htc.com. If you do not have the icon, then there's something wrong.

How can HTC advise against something published in their manual and website.

I checked the guide and found two headset icons; stereoheadset (p40) and wired headset (p41). But my simple mono bluetooth headset is not stereo and not wired... So then there is no icon? How does your icon look?
My test is simple: go to the phone screen or today screen and check all icons. Then turn on the headset and see if something changes.

As I said, my icon looks exactly like in the manual. If I hook a wired headset, the wired headset icon appears at the taskbar. Likewise for the bluetooth headset (mine is manual) - the bluetooth headset icon appears.. simple as that. I've been using this for 5 months now, and the headset icons were there since day one.

Hm. Ok, I rebound the headset to the phone, and I indeed get now an icon in the dialer screen now. Appearantly something was not 100% right there.
I still do not get an icon on the today screen, so I don't know if the headset is connected until I actually need it (which usually is too late). However, I now also found an icon on the S2U2 lock screen, so that is an acceptable replacement for the missing one on the today screen. The lock screen is shown a lot during normal handling and also during pick-up.
Thanks for persisting
