Needa know before i flash my dopod c800/htc p4350
Dunno, but I haven't had any problems either installing it into the stock wing rom nor using it with the touch-it rom which has it built in.
I Did it last night with no problem.
I was afraid too, but finally decided to give it a try, and worked just fine. My Only complain is That I lost Voice Command.

Same here. Installed it, reset. can't find it anywhere. It is not listed under the programs when assigning a button, nowhere.

Alot of your problems can be resolved by searching thru the forums people.... there is alot of information available, you just need to dedicate the time looking for it.
Geez, keep looking but stuck, and no voice command, the best I can get is installing V1.6 Cab, but nothing with the one on this thread.

I was at work (im a carpenter, we are in the endphase of building a giant shopping mall) and we are currently working 20-30 hrs overtime every week.... and I was annoyed by working in a erea with bad, actually no aircondition...hot and "heavy air" that makes your head dizzy after alot of hrs working, and was in a "that kind of answer mode" just had to

I am attempting to remove the windows mobile office from my Apache device to clear up some space. Any suggestions on how to fully remove the mobile office programs?

Are you familiar with the ppcgeeks kitchen?
Mobile office is cooked into the ROM.
You can only remove it by disassembling the ROM, removing the packages and editing the corresponding entries in the Hive (hv) files.
After which you recompile it and flash it to your device.
A ROM kitchen is the best place to start, and a nice RGU/HV editor won't hurt either

I would love to learn to do this is there a thread or a turorial that you know of that list the software needed and how to do it?
Here is a link to ppckitchen's buildos which will create and flash the rom for you just make sure you select the correct bootloader version for your phone. you can find this out by holding the power button and the camera button and pressing the reset button on the bottem if i remember correctly lol. If you get stuck anywhere just post back and ill try to help you i know there are some tutorials out there if you try searching for them.

hey guys im still kind of new to this stuff. but right now i have windows 6.1 on my wing and its nice. but i seen a video on youtube with a wing that had 6.1 pro and it was AWESOME so i would like to know is there anywhere i can go and get that? oh yea and by chance can i ever downgrade back to the reg windows that came with the phone? and if i can do i just go to tmobile.com/wmupgrade ans starr from there?
What you have is already a PRO version as it is meant for all touch screen pocket pc device. Maybe you saw a different GUI effects which may be like TouchFLO 2D or so. If you can give a link to the YouTube video, we shall give you the suggestions.

That is not a "version" of or an iphone theme. It's just a ROM that has a lot of things put together to look like that. Looks like they have the old HTCHome with a skin on it, a Windows Mobile skin and S2U2 with a skin. It looks like an older ROM, actually, but I like the red theming. I don't know what ROM it is exactly, though. Oh, and that menu system is a somewhat buggy software... I forgot what it's called. It's hacked from an italian phone, I believe...

I do also Ivan ,thanks for that non useful paragraph. but can ANYBODY ELSE HELP ME????? im trying to see if i can get wm 6.1 pro or is that not released or something? as far for the themes when i download then and save them they never show up under my themes. could it be that im doing it wrong? i have aserg 6.1? do this ROM not let me use other themes?

2. It is not WM6.1Pro. Did you at all read what I wrote? 6.1 was never officially released for this phone, we (yes, I and others) ported it to this phone.
3. If you're not seeing them, you ARE doing it wrong.
Seriously, dude. I take my time to try to help some and you try to bite at the hand that feeds you. I could have done what everyone else does and said, " Search, noob!" Because truthfully, the answers ARE there if you bothered searching for the right things.
I even TOLD you what programs are being used, btw. That's about as much help as you could ask for.

Now, if you searched for HTCHome you'd get the program called: HTCHome. If you searched S2U2, you'd get the program called: S2U2.
I already flashed it to just stable, i have some apps on it, but nothing really done more then that.
Suggestions and links to some tutorials, or tell me how?

Well with some tweaking the Wing is really quite a great little device. First hit up the Cabs thread and try some stuff from there. I would recommend the following:
Midomi-Lets you let your phone "listen" to a song then tells you what the song is and who it's by and where you can find lyrics and download for it.
Nimbuzz-A GREAT freeware IM client that supports pretty much every thing under the dang sun.
Marketplace-Simply because its awesome and most of the good stuff is free.
Opera Mini-Because IE STILL sucks, and IMHO, IE6on6 is even worse than IE6 was.
Pocketwit-Nice Twitter client that has a cool Titanium home screen plugin that works with it too.
Uhm..hit up either that thread or http://wwwfreewarepocketpc.net or http://www.pocketpcfreewares.com for LOADS of stuff.
I dont have internet on my phone except for wifi.

how'd you get Pocketwit to install under wm6.5?? Everytime I try the install gets to 100%, then says "failed to run pockettwit.exe in /Storage Card/Pocketwit/pockettwit.exe"
Uhm, I just do heh. It's always just installed fine for me to my storage card. Now if you are talking about the homescreen link for quickpost, than yeah I get an error on that simply because its pointing to the wrong directory, but the program itself installs and works from the start screen fine. Maybe you should get a newer version from pocketpcfreeware...thats where I got my copy from.

On my NRG ROM under input settings, the only option I have is "Touch Input". I found a cab for the Transcriber function and installed it, but the one I like the best is just plain "Keyboard" and this is missing. Does anyone know of a cab to install this option? Thanks very much!

Thought I was the only one with this problem!! I've posted about in in the thread numerous time, no answer from NRG, or anybody else. . I even tried 2 contact him on twitter about it. I use touchpal keyboard, and I can't reg. it without this setting. As a result, I had 2 stop using his roms, that I been using 4 over a year, since my fuze, because of it..

Yes, I have searched and asked questions on the ROM thread without any response. Another problem is bluetooth. I have a bluetooth external speaker I use for movies and audio books. I've had a hard time getting that to work and had to revert back to NRG's Oct. 7 ROM. If I might ask, which ROM are you now using which has the keyboard functionality? I will use that one too for now! Thanks!

I'm using Agent_47's Valkyrie_v4.9 FireStorm\RHODIO\LEO 28002. I've tried pretty much most of the roms, and this 1 is the closest 2 NRG's, with all the programs U need already cooked in like pim backup and the tweaking apps. I like it alot.

I have searched high and low for a cab file for this app. I got a T-Mobile software upgrade for my TP2. Cool, it was alright, nothing by comparison to NRG's ROM. I did however lose a few apps that were pretty cool: Co-Pilot,Visual Voicemail,etc.
The one that is of importance, though, is the Mobile Backup App. I have checked the threads on here and have ended up with nothing. I DO KNOW this file exists for this format of Windows Mobile. I tried to copy the correct files to my SD Card, but apparently am missing some and don't know what to look for anyway.
So, if somebody out there knows what's up with a cab or exe or files that I could extract from the stock rom, I would appreciate a little "heads up." Thanks in advance for any help.

Did we already have you try this cab? I've handed it to a couple of people recently, can't remember if you were one of them
It's the tmo mobile backup that was extracted from the tmo HD2 ROM, and I think it works on the TP2...too Even if it's looking like it's running ok, make sure you test the sync in both directions (saving to their server and backing up from it) before you rely on it.
I still highly recommend myphone to accomplish the same tasks and more, but this is admittedly a lean solution, so definitely use whichever works best for you

Man, I gotta buy you a beer someday. That's great. I did not receive that from you recently, but thanks for posting it. It works well if I ever lose my phone or something happens to my pc whatever and I can't sync my original device with my contacts. NRG should cook this into his ROMs, uhum.

Thank You Sir Phunkee... Too bad you could not have given this to me on the 2.5 sense cab thread... lol But having all these Carrier Specific .cabs would be nice there is a thread for the HD2... There you can get a lot of defaults.

Yes, that HD2 thread is where I found this copy, but I thought it was the same as WarlockW's posted cab (which didn't have as handy as this copy). I suspect that they're not different by phone model, but rather by WM version...but I'm just guessing there

You have to call T-Mobile and get them to set this app up on your "plan." What I mean is, it IS free to add to you payment plan, but you actually have to call customer care and get them to add it, but like I said it's FREE. Don't ask me why, but they just have it set up that way. I had the same problem, and it took like 10 minutes from dialing their number to having the software work. It's apparently a matter of account settings or something that they have to tweak.

I am running the new NRG ROM in my sig, but IT won't allow me to install mobile backup to this version. I haven't tried the newest ROM from the 13th, but I sense it is gonna have the same problem.
When I try to install the cab, it just says installation was not successful.Anyone else having this problem with the newer ROMs?

Have tried the newest 13th ROM from NRG and it does not let this sync with the server. It says that the device is not supported.

ok, this is just a wilda$$ guess...but isn't it desirable in some cases (like to correct MMS pic size issues) to have some agent ID in your registy other than what the phone actually is? Maybe possible that NRG bakes that in? Or, maybe it just only acceps a certain specific range of WM versions?

Ok, that's an idea, but what exactly could I do to change this? Plus, I am not sure what you mean about agentID. Just thought I would ask, cause I really hate not having this app.

It's a key somewhere in the registry that indicates what model of phone it is (independent of the IMEI), I believe it's used to identify it to the network for things like what size MMS files the phone can handle, etc...and I'm just surmising this becasue I recall that's where I saw the references to it. So, I would probably suggest looking in any threads related to MMS size issues, you'll probably see someone make a reference to a regedit or cab that makes that change, you can reverse-engineer the rest from there I guess.
I rarely go through any of the forum sections other than the rhodium boards and the Tmo HD2 section, so you can probably confine your search to those places if it helps. I'll keep my eyes open for it too.
Still no luck, sir phunkee. I am hoping that when I flash this newest NRG Rom, maybe I will have some luck, but to be honest, I am kinda tired of flashing his new ROM's cuz, they are "supposedly" faster or better, etc.
We will see, but hopefully someone will have a cab or link that could lead me somewhere.
