Change Screen Sensitivity? - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam General

Hello again all,
Has anyone figured out how to change the screen sensitivity on the 8525? I have been searching all over the place and haven't found an answer. I saw a couple of threads talking about going into the HKLM/Software/Drivers/Touch and editing that registry, but that one doesn't even exist on the Hermes. I went through and tried to find the "Touch" registry, and the only ones I found sounded like they just dealed with the calibration of the screen and not the sensitivity. Please help me out if you know! Thanks!

Pressure Sensitivity - Registry / other configuration available?

On My Sprint Mogul/6800, with out-of-the-box ROM (upgraded to version 3.35.651.2 (the 2/22/2008 HTC update) at the Sprint store), I'd like to increase the touch sensitivity for easier scrolling with FTouchFlo, sliding with SCLPC++, and general finger-tapping. Particularly needed since I'm using a screen protector.
Searching this forum turned up some registry edits on the Elf/Touch (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\TouchPanel\PressureThreshold) as described here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=360564
However, when browsing my own registry with Total Commander, I don't see the TouchPanel key (neither in HKLM\Drivers nor HKLM\Software\Drivers).
I've seen this registry setting mentioned as well:
HLKM\HARDWARE\OEM\TOUCH\CALIBRATENOTES
But I couldn't find that one either. I have HKLM\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\TOUCH\CalibrationData, but that seems to contain the 5 coordinates (4 corners + center) for screen calibration, no sensitivity data.
So -- any clues on how to increase the pressure sensitivity on the 6800?
I agree I need some settings too
Well i can tell you it wont be under calibration data. that has to do with the accuracy of pinpoints on the screen, like when you recalibrate after reflashing or starting up for the first time. ill check around the registry and see if i find anything of interest.
you may just need to create the key yourself with the correct name indicated.
I've tested this out by creating the following registry keys & values:
HKLM\Drivers\TouchPanel\PressureThreshold
HKLM\Software\Drivers\TouchPanel\PressureThreshold
HKLM\Hardware\DeviceMap\Touch\CalibrateNotes
I've tried values ranging from single digits and 100's, to 50,000, to 100,000. Still no change in sensitivity either way.
Any other ideas?

Sorry about your trouble. I don't have an answer for you either. My guess is there is an inherent difference in the devices. I will try and play around with it over the weekend and see if I can come up with anything.

I believe those registries are created when the Touch Flo Cube is installed. It is mainly for cube sensitivity. If you are simply running TouchFlo, you will not find these keys.

I'm using Efrost's FTouchFlo, and Slither's SCLPC++ cube. Of course, these are clones/rewrites/whatever of the actual software on the HTC Touch, since I have the 6800/Titan/Mogul.
I got the impression that these registry entries were for general system-wide sensitivity, not just the Cube -- so I was hoping there might be something similar I could do on my device
Searching the web I found this Pdf:
Maybe it can help
I read somewhere that how you do the screen configuration affects the sensitivity. Like if you push the points hard during calibration the screen will be calibrated for hard presses (less sensitive). Light presses during calibration, light presses (more sensitive). I have always treated it this way and as far as I've been able to tell, that's how it works. I could just be nuts though =P

Registry help aligning Prophet screen

I would like some help.
Part of my Prophet screen doesn't work anymore.
This means aligning is hell.
I would like to squeeze some more life out of the thing ...
Especially with guys like Gullum, Cloudifa, and all the other ones ...
I have already found out the registry key is
HKLM\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\TOUCH\Calibration settings
I have only found values for elf, atom and others on the net.
But they are not yet as close to Prophet (atom is OK except for the far right side of the screen (scroll ...)
Could someone please be able to give me the values on their prophet ?
Want to post it instead of messaging directly to keep this on the forum for others.
If I should have missed an earlies posting woth the settings, sorry, please then redirect me.

These values are unique to each device. If every device was the same, there would be no need for this!
From my ROM setup: 1839,1997 3118,684 3126,3328 577,3291 602,690
Thanks !
I know about the unique settings, but with your prophet settings I can try to come closer thn woth settings fora completely different device, and maybe tweak a bit more myself through remot registry editor.
Thanks again!

You need a registry editor. If you just want to realign the screen, hold the windows hardware button and then press the centre d-pad button.
salll
tnx...but my PDA doesn't allow to finish the align screen process, one of the corners i can't align it...maybe phisical problem???

Maybe a hardware issue...
Try using a registry editor (I'd use this) to edit the settings using those above... May not be perfect but may help....

I want to add backlight to the NOW screen

Hey all,
I'm still getting my feet wet in the whole editing the Mobile Shell thing. I've actually blended a couple of other peoples skins to make something that works well for me.
However, the one thing I REALLY want to do is have the backlight icon show up on my NOW screen. It is, apparently, possible. I found a skin on the french site that has the backlight there:
http://www.actualitemobile.com/forum/index.php/topic,1654.msg22320.html#msg22320
Anyone ever do this? Any idea how to make it work? I've downloaded that skins and picked through the xmls a bit but I can't find anything that shows exactly how it's added it.

lol... I have had the same problem and fixed it by changing the REgistry as indicated in tap #44 of the following link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=583638
Hope this helps. Also other tweaks that are helpful.
I think the same thing that registry edit does is also available in cab format, in the 2nd post of THIS thread, 7th item on the list
bsb tweeks can
Yeah i also uses B&B tweaks to but I guess if you want a more precise touch you can use the reg editing.
ive used both the cab and bsbtweaks and I find bsb better. it adjusts the same reg entries, but different values.

Adjust G-sensor sensitivity?

Hello,
I have the T-Mobile USA HD2, with the stock T-Mobile ROM 2.13 (the one that came with it, I just have not gotten around to updating it to the newer one yet).
When I first got it the G-sensor seemed to rarely work, to change the screen to landscape, etc..
I did something to make the G-sensor more sensitive, or the phone more responsive to it.
But now I find it way too responsive. The display is often going to landscape, or turning completely upside down, without me intending that, from the slightest movement of the phone.
So now I want to reduce that sensitivity.
Problem is--I cannot recall what I did before, that made it more ssnsitive--whether it was some kind of setting, or with some tweaking app, or directlly in the registry.
I cannot figure out how to lower that sensitivity now. There is a G-sensor applet in Control Panel, but that is only to calibrate it, not to adjust the sensitivity.
Can someone please tell me how to do this?
Thank you in advance.
Did you use someting like BsB Tweeks or Touch Tools to adjust the sinsativity? If it was a registry tweek you can probably find it in the "Leo Hints, Tips and Registry Tweaks"

I have BSB Tweaks , but do not recall seeing a G-Sensor sensitivity setting in it. Is there? Where?
---------
Now I just checked BSB. It has a setting for screen sensitivity, but I think that has to do with the touch screen, not the G-Sensor.

Oh sorry I thought BsB Tweeks had a G-Sensor adjuster in it to, guess that is what I get for talking about a app I only used for like 4 days then changed over to Touch Tools. I know Touch Tools has this feature in it. Did you check the thread I linked for registry tweeks?

Did I check that thread? Well, it currently has 240 pages in it! I looked through much of it--a lot of interesting and useful tweaks there!
But no, I did not see (did not read all 240 pages yet though!) a setting for responsiveness to the G-Sensor.

Ha Ha Ha I did not mean read the whole thing just the first post that contains the list of registry tweeks and how to do each one. If you did not see it in there then install Touch Tools and use it as I said I know it has the ability to change G-Sensor sensativity.
