MS Voice Command vs Fonix VoiceDial vs Vito VoiceDialer

Hi!
Anyone has tried the above voicedial programs? Which is the best in terms of name recognition accuracy?
Lets talk about the LATEST version, MSVC v1.5 vs Fonix VoiceDial v2.0 Vito VoiceDialer v3.5, ok?
Thanks
You should also include Cyberon Voice Commander. Its a great program since you train it to recognize your own voice along with your unique accents or intonations. And it also opens programs.

I would definately reccomend staying AWAY from MSVC v1.5..
I purchased retail CD and install on my device. While the software itself seems to work as advertised- I have problems with MS Voice Command DISABLING other features on my device:
I have made multiple calls to Microsoft Tech Support- and they acknowladge my problems are due to the voice command software- but have no fix available...
Specifically, If I have MSVC installed on my device, My bluetooth radio CANNOT turn on, due to a bug/software glitch in MSVC.
I have tried the FONIX software free trial and worked freat- AND my bluetooth radio was not affected!!
Microsoft refuses to refund my defective software and of course the retail store will not accept open software for refund...
So do to Microsoft Software Bug, I am out nearly $50.00 US.
Good luck 2 all!!

babj615,
MSVC v1.5 has no problem working on my O2 XDA II and has no conflict with any of my programs so far.
On the contrary, Fonix's name recognition is worse than MSVC. Also, you've to shout rather loud into the mic for Fonix to recognize a name. I say you should stay from Fonix instead.
Microsoft voice command 1.5 works
Good experience with MS Voice Command so far.
No problems interfering with other apps; pretty good voice recognition.
Only one problem VC does not seem to work when some other apps are opened.

It's fine for me - so long as you turn on AGC in the settings... else it can't hear you (bless it).

Voice Commander

Hi guys,
I have a question. I spent the whole morning looking for answer but found not much. I am looking for a way to disable Cyberon Voice Dial from a ROM and install Voice Commander. I am using Tilt now and the Voice Commander works very well with push and hols the Record button. I wondered if there is any way to program push and push/hold commands for Artemis. So I guess I have two questions:
1. How to disable Cyberon? Or even better permanently remove it.
2. How to program the Record button for MS Voice Commander?
Thanks
Karel
P.S. Is there a ROM with MS Voice Commander pre-installed?

Launch Cyberon Speed Dial via BT Headset

The ROM i am using has MVC (MS Voice Command) built into it, and MVC works well for voice dialing if your contacts have English names, which I don't have. so, i went ahead and installed Cyberon Speed Dial which allows me to use my own voice tags to the calling. the only problem is that i can't find away to start cyberon by pressing the BT headset button. all solutions i found were for the other way around.
thanks for reading and will really appreciate your help
Hmmmm...
Two programs using the same resources (BT)...
If you can, just deactivated MVC (or uninstall).
I haven't use MVC, and Cyberion work well on my device for speed dialing.

It is already deactivated, and I don't think I can uninstall it because it was built into the ROM.

Cyberon Voice Commander with bluetooth

I am running Dutty's rom with MSVC but I have found that Cyberon Voice Commander is a better solution for me. I have managed to change the long press to launch CVS but for some reason my carkit still wants to use MSVC.
I have done some searching and changed the regkey HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\VoiceCommand\Path to point to the CVS exe file but this has no effect.
Please can somebody point me in the right direction.
Thanks
Sully
I have been round the houses with this and still can't get it working, how can I stop it using Microsoft voice commander over bluetooth.
So far I have changed reg keys
HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Bluetooth/Audiogateway
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\VoiceCommand\Path
Tired jetware with patch CVSD_Patch.CAB and also tried Project_VCABT.cab from a Russian forum.
No matter waht I do it will always bring up MSVC instead of Cyberon Voice Commander when I press the key on my bluetooth.
I have also tried a bluetooth headset in case it was a problem with my parrot.
Thanks
Sully
There must be solution to the problem, just need to know where the setting is that tells the HD what program to use for voice dialing.
I have found a crude solution, if you copy all the files from the cyberon folder over to the windows folder and rename voice commander.exe file to coicecmd.exe it works.
Would love to know how to change it properly.
Thanks
Sully

Long_send with MS voice commander?

I have MS voice commander from my old phone so have installed it on my hd2 and most of the functions work. Searching around i hoped i might be able to "launch" it by creating a shortcut to the voicecmd.exe and then renaming it long_send in the windows directory.
Sadly this doesnt do anything. I tried a soft reset and even tried calling it long_send.ink and another soft reset but each time i hold the make call button nothing happens.
Am i missing something? Is there another way to assign the hardware buttons on the hd2?
It's long_send.lnk with an L for link - not ink.
Thanks, DOH! Works a treat now.
Can you explain how you get the Microsoft Voice Commander working on the LEO/HD2?

Pretty easy, by installing it using the CAB file you can find on here.
Just do a Google search for "XDA HD2 voice command" but I recommend Cyberon Voice Commander which you can also find here on XDA.
The reason i went for MS voice commander is that i had the cab from my last install and like the extra features not just voice dialing.
Does cyberon support music / calander / silent switching etc?

Hmm, not sure if it has all of those since I don't use it much. If you get Cyberon Voice Commander it will have more than just voice dialing, because Cyberon also make something that's just for making calls.
It does have music capability, which I don't use because I don't like WMP.
Edit: Here's a screenshot of the program, showing you what you can say.
I hear you about WMP. If only i could get MS voice commander to use core player!

Yeah, it would be great and I've searched high and low for a fix but there doesn't seem to be one. If only there was a simple reg hack...
It's funny, voice command was a big deal on WM maybe over 5 years ago, and then it seems the developers just gave up on it. But now that the iPhone has it and Android is adding it maybe some new voice programs will pop up for WM.
