Cyberon Voice Commander with bluetooth - Touch HD General

I am running Dutty's rom with MSVC but I have found that Cyberon Voice Commander is a better solution for me. I have managed to change the long press to launch CVS but for some reason my carkit still wants to use MSVC.
I have done some searching and changed the regkey HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\VoiceCommand\Path to point to the CVS exe file but this has no effect.
Please can somebody point me in the right direction.
Thanks
Sully

I have been round the houses with this and still can't get it working, how can I stop it using Microsoft voice commander over bluetooth.
So far I have changed reg keys
HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Bluetooth/Audiogateway
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\VoiceCommand\Path
Tired jetware with patch CVSD_Patch.CAB and also tried Project_VCABT.cab from a Russian forum.
No matter waht I do it will always bring up MSVC instead of Cyberon Voice Commander when I press the key on my bluetooth.
I have also tried a bluetooth headset in case it was a problem with my parrot.
Thanks
Sully

There must be solution to the problem, just need to know where the setting is that tells the HD what program to use for voice dialing.

I have found a crude solution, if you copy all the files from the cyberon folder over to the windows folder and rename voice commander.exe file to coicecmd.exe it works.
Would love to know how to change it properly.
Thanks
Sully

Replace Cyberon Voice Speed Dial with MS Voice Command ?

Hello All,
MDApro & BT800 Headset
I installed MS Voice Command 1.5 and it runs very well without any training. So I want to changed the stupid standard installed Cyberon Voice Speed Dial Software with the MS Voice Command 1.5 Version.
But no possibility to activate the new Software from the headset. So I changed
HKEY_LOCAL_MASCHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\VoiceCommand\Path
\Windows\sddialer.exe (program is loaded in ROM)
to
HKEY_LOCAL_MASCHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\VoiceCommand\Path
\Windows\VoiceCommand.exe
now MS Voice Command 1.5 starts, but no recognition/communication with the headset and after a while program ends normaly.
What's going on? Any hints?
best regrads,
Udo

Cyberon Voice Commander 1.6 for Other Devices!

I found a copy of Cyberon Voice Commander 1.6 (not the crappy Voice Speed Dial) here and tried to run it on my Verizon XV6700. Not only did it mess up the hardware button configuration on my device - the program wouldn't run, saying that it's not supported on my device.
In looking further, I found out that the main executable was looking for the hardware ID string PU10 (for the Universal). I changed it to PA10A1, which is the ID for my XV6700 (Sprint users may be slightly different, I don't know), used the SignCode program here to re-sign the modified application, and it worked fine on my XV6700!
I found out that the HKLM\SOFTWARE\OEM\VoiceCommand registry key was the reason my hardware button mapping was getting all screwy. I removed that registry entry, modified the VCStatic.INI file's HotKey entry, and the button assignment is working fine now. I just have to manually assign the Record button (or whatever you want) to "Voice Commander."
ftp://xda:[email protected]/Uploads/Programs/Unsigned_cvc16-ppc-xv6700-usa.CAB
As I understand it, Sprint users with the new ROM update might have Voice Commander already embedded. I just thought I might give an alternative to Microsoft Voice Command and to Verizon XV6700 users who are still... waiting for their corresponding ROM update.
Do you think you would be able to modify this file to work on the 8125? I wouldn't mind "compensating" you in any way I can (I can offer some web hosting if you would like some).
Can you tell me what the model number is of the Cingular 8125?
For instance, the Universal was PU10, while the Apache was PA10A1. The program looks for that particular model number.
The model number is WIZA100
And for my Qtek 9100 ?
The model number is WIZA200
Thanks !
Not trying to push but my trial for Microsoft Voice Commander was up today and I want to know if I I should really spend the $50.00 or if this will work for what I need it to do.
Any news on the program?
I have a 6700 and have no issues running the microsoft voice command 1.5 with many bluetooth earpeaces. You need to install the following http://forum.xda-developers.com/download.php?id=7396 and then modify the registry. Take a look at the registry key HKLM\software\OEM\voicecommand and there is a subkey you can change from sddialer.exe to \program files\voice command\voicecmd.exe
Thats it. When you press on your bluetooth headset button you will hear the microsoft voice command chime. It works for me and it will work for you.
Mike

Thanks for creating these BTT. Would you mind if at some point I integrate the wiz100 version into a custom ROM for the 8125?
Bluetooth Headset Problem
I have done that to my 8125 however it didn't work. I still have the same issue with BT not working until a reset.
Here is something I tried that is working for me...

Would it be possible to throw a build together for the JAMin?
The JAMin's model number is: PM300
Thanks in advance!!!
Thanks BeyondtheTech !
Will this also work with a GERMAN QTEK 9100 ROM ? I have an MDA VARIO ( which is the HTC WIZARD ) - so the ID is the same.
I am basically interested in how much better Voice Commander is compared to the Voice Speed Dial.
I read something about an SMS Reader on the Cyberon Homepage - what does this do? Will it read out received SMS?
On the Homepage there is also a PDF I downloaded which states different language packs. From the naming of your .CAB ( usa ) I guess yours is only for english devices or used with the english language.
Anychance I can get a hold of the GERMAN Language Pack as well?
Best regards & thanks for all your effort!
Will this work for WM 2003 ppc?
Can you please make a Version for the MIO A701
The ID is
PXA270
Thanks. NAdavi
BTT, can you create one for the BA with WM5? Device is PH20B. Thanks.

Voice Commander

Hi guys,
I have a question. I spent the whole morning looking for answer but found not much. I am looking for a way to disable Cyberon Voice Dial from a ROM and install Voice Commander. I am using Tilt now and the Voice Commander works very well with push and hols the Record button. I wondered if there is any way to program push and push/hold commands for Artemis. So I guess I have two questions:
1. How to disable Cyberon? Or even better permanently remove it.
2. How to program the Record button for MS Voice Commander?
Thanks
Karel
P.S. Is there a ROM with MS Voice Commander pre-installed?

Launch Cyberon Speed Dial via BT Headset

The ROM i am using has MVC (MS Voice Command) built into it, and MVC works well for voice dialing if your contacts have English names, which I don't have. so, i went ahead and installed Cyberon Speed Dial which allows me to use my own voice tags to the calling. the only problem is that i can't find away to start cyberon by pressing the BT headset button. all solutions i found were for the other way around.
thanks for reading and will really appreciate your help
Hmmmm...
Two programs using the same resources (BT)...
If you can, just deactivated MVC (or uninstall).
I haven't use MVC, and Cyberion work well on my device for speed dialing.

It is already deactivated, and I don't think I can uninstall it because it was built into the ROM.

Long_send with MS voice commander?

I have MS voice commander from my old phone so have installed it on my hd2 and most of the functions work. Searching around i hoped i might be able to "launch" it by creating a shortcut to the voicecmd.exe and then renaming it long_send in the windows directory.
Sadly this doesnt do anything. I tried a soft reset and even tried calling it long_send.ink and another soft reset but each time i hold the make call button nothing happens.
Am i missing something? Is there another way to assign the hardware buttons on the hd2?
It's long_send.lnk with an L for link - not ink.
Thanks, DOH! Works a treat now.
Can you explain how you get the Microsoft Voice Commander working on the LEO/HD2?

Pretty easy, by installing it using the CAB file you can find on here.
Just do a Google search for "XDA HD2 voice command" but I recommend Cyberon Voice Commander which you can also find here on XDA.
The reason i went for MS voice commander is that i had the cab from my last install and like the extra features not just voice dialing.
Does cyberon support music / calander / silent switching etc?

Hmm, not sure if it has all of those since I don't use it much. If you get Cyberon Voice Commander it will have more than just voice dialing, because Cyberon also make something that's just for making calls.
It does have music capability, which I don't use because I don't like WMP.
Edit: Here's a screenshot of the program, showing you what you can say.
I hear you about WMP. If only i could get MS voice commander to use core player!

Yeah, it would be great and I've searched high and low for a fix but there doesn't seem to be one. If only there was a simple reg hack...
It's funny, voice command was a big deal on WM maybe over 5 years ago, and then it seems the developers just gave up on it. But now that the iPhone has it and Android is adding it maybe some new voice programs will pop up for WM.
