Cant clear voicemail notification - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam General

I recieved a voicemail about 3 days ago, and dispite several soft resets I have not been able to clear the reminder. I deleted the message as soon as it arrived as it was not important but have tried everything i can think off to remove the notification.
Anyone know how i can get my running programs shortcut back on my today screen~?

Just leave yourself another voicemail, delete it & you should be fine. This happened to me before. The call had dropped when I hit delete. I think the system just got confused.

How can you reset the voicemail indicator/counter on K-JAM?

Hi
I have an erroneous 'voice message waiting' indicator that I would like to remove. It shows up as a message icon in the top bar and also gives me a 'notification' message on the today screen (left hand softkey). When I select 'notification', it says I have a new voice message. Then i hit 'dismiss', but the message indicator in the top bar does not go away. I have tried going to voice mail, but there are no messages waiting.... Each time I soft reset, the notification reappears
Aside from a hard reset, does anyone know if there is a way to reset the message indicator counter to zero?
Many Thanks
Chris
Ok, I guess I am down to a hard reset then . Anyone know of another way?
tried tapping the voice mail icon in the top, and then dismissing?
if that doesn't work
tried dialing your voice mail and listening to / deleting all messages ?
if that doesn't work
call yourself, and leave a voicemail - wait for the voicemail notification, call your voicemail, listen to yourself (hehe), delete, and see if that makes it go away; read this approach in some other thread
Many thanks ZeBoxx. I had tried these approaches, but without success. I believe that the voice mail counter has somehow got stuck with one entry that cannot be deleted. It may have something to do with another SIM that I used overseas, that was no longer a working number... for some reason, the message showed up then and I can't seem to delete it... Thinking it may in some way it may need to connect back to that number to clear the counter...
Oh well... I might give phoneAlarm a try before I hard reset, as that app interatcts with the message counter and I may be able to do it from there...
Many thanks
Chris

Stupid Voicemail indicator

Anyone able to help me out on this one?
I got a voice mail message the other day. Listened to it the next day and then deleted it.
The voicemail indicator (you know the one that looks like a tape symbol) is still in the bar at the top and i still have 'notification' on the bottom left soft key.
I do not have any voicemail messages and i have rebooted (soft) the phone. Cant get rid of the damn thing - getting anoying now...
Any help appreciated.
Simply call your voicemail, listen to a message, delete a message. pause (play around in voicemail for a few moments) then hang up. If you have no voicemail messages to delete, call yourself and leave yourself a message. I have/do get that problem from time to time. It appears voicemail only communicates with the phone as a one shot basis only - T-Mobile really needs to address that issue.
Hope that helps,
Best regards,
Brad
Yeah - thanks for that. Sorted out my problem. Took a couple of attempts, but its gone now

Phantom unread sms

HI all,
I am running PointUI on my Wing in Windows Mobile 6, and yesterday I noticed that I have a phantom unread message in my sms inbox. I say phantom because I have cleared everything out and there shouldn't be anything in there, but the bottom of that inbox screen which gives you the message totals count says 1 unread sms. Also, the PointUI interface is showing a 1 in the sms icon like there is a message, but I can't find it. The indicator LED light is not amber but it's driving me nuts. I have tried several soft boots to see if that corrected the problem and it did not. Also, I have rebooted and not started PointUI and the issue is still there on the windows today screen.
Has anyone ever had this issue? If so, how did you resolve it. Any and all ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jamie
I have had a similar issue with phantom unread email messages a couple of times. I found a small program on this site which fixed it for me.
Do a search for "fixunreadcount" on this site, and you should find it. If it does not turn up, let me know and I will check to see if I still have a copy saved on my PC.

I couldn't find a program for that and it's still doing it. I've even dropped PointUI and still have the phantom message on the original today screen.

Sorry for the hijack, but I was hoping others who have had this problem could maybe suggest other things to try. I tried the fixunreadcount.exe program, it said it corrected the SMS inbox from 1 to 0, ran it again, came up OK, did a soft-reset and it still shows 1 on the Home screen and says "0 items, 1 unread" in the inbox. Grr. I've tried running the fixunreadcount several times, it corrects from 1 to 0 every time, I've tried the inbox settings registry change that someone in another thread suggested, nothing makes that stupid 1 go away. Maybe it's time to reflash....
EDIT: I ran the fixunreadcount three more times, trying a combination between soft-resetting and powering down, and it FINALLY cleared it! I can now say this program works...eventually!
Thank you, this fixed it for me. After running the program it required a soft reset.
In my situation the actions that led to this situation was that I had sent one SMS to multiple receivers and was "cleaning" the SMS folder by deleting the message received notifications. During this I received other "message received" notifications and as of the result of this the "unread count" remained in "1" (one). My assumption was that one of the deleted notifications was moved from the inbox to the deleted items, but somehow the "system" did not remove it from the inbox. I assume this is a "rare" situation and was partially caused by me accessing the device while I got more notifications. Device was HTC Diamond - first generation and I'm running WM6.1 build 20764.1.4.3.
cheers guys. it fixed my issue on the TP2
For me 2. Thanks.

Mogul alerts can't be stopped

I'm having a problem with my Sprint Mogul.
I get an alert every 10 minutes or so, but I have already dismissed all notifications and alarms.
Even went into settings and disabled sound and vibrate notifications for everything and it's still happening all day long.
I'm using DCD's 3.0.4 Radio:3.37.20
Please help, anyone.
Strange problem. I sometimes get duplicates of alerts because I run an xml that writes alerts, but I never had a problem like your's. What I do is use dot fred's task manager to review the notifications and delete the items I do not want. You can also just delete all the duplicates in that program, but I doubt that would fix your problem.
Worst case scenario, a hard reset should fix it too.

clone has no voicemail notification

Has any body else got the same problem as me. when ever somebody leaves me a voicemail the phone doesnt show voicemail notification, unless i soft reset, then as soon as the phone boots i get the notification. its the same when i've listened to and deleted the message, the notification will not go until i soft reset.???? i'm on the orange network and tried all the different cabs and regedits that i can find to fix the problem but no luck yet!!!
There are two ways of voicemail notification. One is a normal SMS from your mailbox. The other is a system message shown on the top of the screen. Many providers only support the SMS notification.
